I discovered this small dermatology office by chance after a podiatry appointment in the same medical building right by the entrance. I started going to Dr. Yashar for microneedling and wanted to start incorporating other services into my appointments. After a series of 3 microneedling treatments, I was looking to target more surface level damage and scheduled an initial IPL session and planned to do a series of 3 for maximum results. After my initial session, I scheduled a second and the assistant in the lobby asked me to prepay for the service. I was a little taken back because I've never been asked to prepay for cosmetic dermatology prior to receiving treatment (including my initial IPL session booked at her office), so when I questioned her as to why I couldn't pay upon receiving treatment like the first, she simply told me this was their policy and left it at that. Fast forward ~3 weeks after my first IPL session -- I wasn't thoroughly impressed with the results and called to cancel my second scheduled visit. When I called their phone number listed, I spoke with a girl who told me they have a no refunds policy and that I could keep the credit on my account for a future IPL session. I clarified that I wasn't interested in receiving another IPL session and I simply wanted to cancel the appointment and receive a refund, but was told I need to call back and speak with the front desk. Confused, I asked her who I was actually speaking with because I called the number listed for their office and she informed me she was a "remote employee" and that I wasn't speaking with the actual office. Shortly after that exchange, I received a call from Tiffany at their office reiterating their no refunds policy even after I explained to her that I was never informed of that policy, I never signed anything agreeing to that policy, and most importantly, there is absolutely no mention of that policy in their office, or on their website. Tiffany handled the situation probably as poorly and unprofessionally as possible; apologizing that no one informed me of their no refunds policy, but was still standing firm that they will not offer a refund and accused me of getting "flustered" on the phone when I was simply trying to explain my side of the situation. At one point during my call w/ Tiffany, I informed her that I will proceed with reporting the charge on credit card to receive the refund if I have to because the service hadn't yet been performed and as far as I could tell, they were just making up policies to get free money from clients. She called me back shortly after that second call saying Dr. Yashar was "going to make an exception" and agreed to refund me, but even that didn't sit right with me; I wasn't asking for an exception to a policy that was never even remotely mentioned to me. I fully planned to proceed going to Dr. Yashar for Botox, maintenance microneedling and potentially the Clear & Brilliant laser, but with the way this entire situation was handled, I won't be supporting her practice going forward. It's worth mentioning that I do feel like Dr. Yashar has great bedside manners and wouldn't recommend any treatments that weren't necessary, but I have a pretty low standard for decent customer service, and her staff couldn't even meet that standard. read more

I live in the valley, but we only have 2 dermatologists in my part of town and I didn't care for either of them. They were always trying to upsell me of pass me off to a Physician's assistant. So, I opted to take a friend's advice and sit an hour in traffic to see Dr. Yashar in Culver City. Totally worth it. She addressed all of my concerns and gave me excellent advice for a few home remedies. She explained things thoroughly and wasn't in a rush to get me out the door. She was attentive and knowledgeable, which is a rarity amongst physicians these days. I'll definitely be back. read more

Amazing bedside manner and superior knowledge. You can tell she has many years of experience with a wide range of skin conditions. Highly recommend Dr. Yashar. The building does have $16 valet parking, and there is 1-hr metered parking on Venice, but I suggest parking around the apartments north of Venice to avoid paying for parking.
