Obviously the dealer "technician" who did the last oil change overtightened the housing far beyond 18ft lbs because that thing wasn't gonna budge, even with a 24" breaker bar. This is why I don't take my vehicles to a dealer for service and would rather deal with independents or just do it myself.

Unfortunately, it was more than they could work on. Didn't have parts or the tools. After calling at least 5 or 6 other mechanics from Livingston to Bozeman, from dealerships to private mechanics, we finally found Chris at Northwest. We had verbal quotes all over the place and scheduling was July, September and maybe we can fit you in. My husband had called our mechanic in Florida so we knew what it should cost. We needed a new cam and follower. Apparently, this is s common problem on Jeeps with 100,000 miles. We dropped the Jeep off on a Friday with an appointment on the following Friday. We also had a written quote, (not verbal). It was risky to keep driving it so we thought it was better just to leave it at Northwest. Chris said if there was a cancellation then he would work on the Jeep. On Tuesday morning by husband received an email invoice. The Jeep was repaired, ready for pick up and within to quote. We are so thankful that there are still honest, reasonable and reliable mechanics out there. There's so much more to this nightmare, but thanks to Northwest the Jeep is back to exploring.

Jared worked on a very puzzling problem with my car that had no heat and the blower would only blow out the middle vents ... no defrost or floor blower operation. Others told me my only solution was to tear my entire dash & more out; I needed to replace the entire heating system... heater core to all other mechanical parts that are part of the heating system... which would take "forever" or a ton of hours to do, which would be extremely expensive. I could not afford to do all that other auto shops said was needed. I had just gone through multiple very costly car repairs, one after another, this year (2025); and I already owed much more than I could afford at this point. The cold season (October) was beginning; I became very upset & depressed that I needed to try to drive my car with no heat - no defrost thru the winter. Eventually I received unexpected help from an awesome organization, DRIVING HOPE [*PLEASE HELP THEM TO KEEP HELPING PEOPLE LIKE ME; DONATE TO THEM]; and they referred me to Lauria Racing & Repair. Jared worked on my car and solved my problems/issues in about an hour, with no tearing apart my entire dash and replacing everything that had to do with the heating system! I also needed a new water pump, which Lauria's time to replace was much less than all other auto shops I visited. I returned to Lauria December 23rd with no heat/no defrost... my blower quit. So I stopped late in the afternoon unannounced... no warning call or appointment ... my intention was just to ask which fuse was actually for my blower (the car manual diagram was confusing to me); and to see if they could test my car with a computerized scanner they have, that they used to solve and fix my previous heat/blower problems. I was so shocked and surprised... and I guess a bit "excited" and relieved inside (Not sure if excited is the correct word but...); they took my car into the garage and started working on it and found that a wire to my blower had burned. I was sad & worried... BUT THEY FIXED IT!! Very much NOT expected! THANK YOU!!! The communication, customer service and time JR and Jared gave me; explaining and listening to me, was exceptional and something you will not see or experience with all the other shops in the area that I had previously gone to and called since 2017.
