Hi I am writing this review about Sharp Grossmont Hospital. A couple of days ago. I was in the emergency room for a possible stroke and all the doctors and nurses were very helpful. Theirs several other issues that needs to be addressed at this time. The first is being in the emergency room for over 13 hours or more to find a room upstairs once I got to the room all the nurses are very helpful. The next issue is that I had to wait for a long period of time for a bariatric bed for me once I got it is really comfortable. The next issue is waiting for a long wait time for the kitchen to bring up the food trays to the room.

Today was a quick in and out for a CT of my sinuses as they have been giving me issues. I was referred here by my MD. The waiting list is long but once in there everything runs rather smooth. I want to give a special thank you to the staff for their kindness. My appointment was at 12:30 and when I arrived to find out they wanted me there at 12:00 (which were not stated in my instructions). I was floored but my understanding was that it was for pre-registration that I already filled out online & I assumed that with it being lunch time, I would be a patient right after them coming back. Memo to myself to come 15min early any where even with pre-registration. Anyone coming here at the imaging center you will need to arrive 30min early fyi. Even with my fault of misunderstanding the schedule. The desk staff were so polite and worked me right in. They weren't nasty about explaining the time situation & just said it's ok. Cindy was my technician who did the CT scan and she was so polite and made me feel welcomed. She explained the procedure that it was simple and quick after positioning me on a long bed table. There was a huge circle that was over me yikes. The circle is huge and intimating as I thinking, "oh my!! I'm going to be head in and can't move".. ‍ Cindy said, "You can close your eyes and place your hands over your tummy" so I followed her instructions. She came to my head to center me under a red light. She then seems to fade in the background and then I hear a noise like something going around the cylinder for about 2 min max if that and it was over. She was said, "ok it's all done and results should be back to your MD in less than 5 days". That literally was it. Total time: Check in 2 minutes, I may have sat in the waiting room less than 10 minutes and scan was about 3 minutes. Awesome and quick experience. Ok now the parking is where they got me... Why is it for less than 30 minutes $3?? They do not validate parking for regular parking but for handicapped parking only. If there is a parking attendant he may take cash I'm unsure but make sure you bring a card to pay for the parking just in case.

I was in the neuroscience and the morning guy jose went threw my personal clothing and was creepy.i understand looking at ur patient threw the window but act wierd wen I see u and the reactions..then got sent home wit no pain meds cus wat he told the doctor.this guy need retraining really bad.im trying to feel better he made it worse.my stay there was great till he came on shift.he a terrible person to have as a nurse

So I took my dad into the Sharp Grossmont ER because he was having some issues and we were his caregivers so of course we do our best to keep him alive, fed, hydrated, showered, shaved, cared for, etc. and I am not in the medical field nor do I have the knowledge of this field so I rely on an once a week Nurse for guidance or the nurse at the hospital for guidance. My dad was 89 years old, had blood work done on June 30, 2025 with his primary care doctor but no one ever called me or communicated to me that there was anything wrong especially the afternoon and night that I took him into the hospital ER then to ICU because of low blood pressure. I took him to the ER because of dehydration and confusion and mild pain around 10 AM on August 19, 2025. They asked me if I wanted to provide him comfort care and I was like sure but I also want you to treat the problem and get him fixed up. I was not told that my dad was terminal, in bad shape, that you should come right away (after I left the hospital since I was waiting for a call about his condition) and spend your last moments with him nor did they contact me at all until the next day when he was already dead. Apparently this Hospital doesn't give a shit about anyone except their bottom line and their Billing processes. I put blame in humanity that does not act with kindness, courtesy and respect especially when dealing with the elderly. Your staff needs to learn humanity and compassion along with extensive communication skills towards the family, which you did not with us and you robbed us from being with my father when he died. Neglecting a patient's family is a travesty and legal actions will be considered. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER HOSPITAL 1 STAR OUT OF 5 STARS IS WHAT WE GIVE THIS SO CALLED HOSPITAL. TREATING A PROBLEM IS NOT A SOLUTION!

This would be me entering into this nightmare this hellhole called grossmont Hospital or compassion is the last thing they think of

Also I don't need to vax my child 5 vaccines in one day, I can and will always spread them out. Also the dr did not inform me and information like removing an infant car seat inserts, my child's overall health, weight, if I'm able to move my child to a crib, etc. it shows I'm a first time mom but Dr Barbie was so concerned about me getting all my child's vaccinations and informing me how she's seen "so many children hospitalized" and mortality rates that she never told me my child is healthy and doing great or anything about milestones. It was all about me neglecting to get every vaccine that day. Never want that dr again. Both times I've felt dismissed, but this last visit is what pushed me to write this review. During the appointment, I was asked if I wanted to do his follow-up shots. I told them no, since I wanted my husband there for that. They kept pushing, and since I was already there and it was his last round of shots, I gave in and agreed to do them if it would be quick. In hindsight, I should've stuck with my original decision. The medical assistant came in with the shots, and the needle was noticeably thick. Thicker than other shots he's had before. Thick enough that there was a small but significant amount of blood after every single one, and there were four total (two per leg). Now, I know it's normal for that to happen since this was the last round of the shots he needed to take, so it's nothing new, but this time it was a significant amount compared to prior shots. What upset me most was that she had mentioned in the beginning that she'd worked with babies before and it would be quick and careful and it was nothing but opposite of that. By the last shot, my son was in so much pain that he pushed back and the needle came out and she poked him again, making a new hole next to the one she had already made. I confronted her about it and all she said was sorry. Right after, my son started crying in a way I'd never heard before. He went pale and his eyes rolled back. I told her I thought he was going to faint, and she ran to get the doctor. The doctor came in, listened to his breathing, and said, "I don't think it's an allergic reaction." I told him I wasn't worried about an allergic reaction -- my son was fainting from the pain, and I'd never seen him like that, so I was scared and concerned. All he said back was, "Well, he looks better now and his breathing is steady, he'll feel better soon," which felt dismissive. On top of that, throughout the exam the doctor kept complaining about my son moving while he checked his ears, lungs, and vitals. I was obviously helping keep him as still as possible but he is a professional working with a toddler, managing a squirming child is part of the job, his frustration and verbal acknowledgement of it was unnecessary and not professional. Afterward, I called to file a complaint. When the supervisor called me back, I was not satisfied with how it was handled, her only "solution" was to talk to the staff involved and have the clinic call me back, though I'm still not clear what that call was supposed to accomplish. How is that going to prevent this from happening to someone else? She also mentioned that my son could be seen by their pediatrician going forward. I asked her -- if you have a pediatrician, why wasn't he seen by her to begin with? I'm aware of their policy of not guaranteeing the same doctor each visit, but I shouldn't have to deal with that inconsistency in care regardless, especially after an experience like this. At one point, when I mentioned I should have trusted my gut, she actually chuckled, which felt just as dismissive and disrespectful as everything else. I let her know I'm switching my son to a clinic that can guarantee the same doctor and consistent care every time. If you have young kids, I'd think twice about bringing them here or at least make sure it's with a pediatric doctor!

Lemon Grove Family Health Center - Bandaid used to cover one injection. I understand it's normal to bleed a little but this was a lot compared to past times.

Lemon Grove Family Health Center - Bandaid used to cover up the two holes with the same needle. Just goes to show it was not done properly or with care.
