Absolutely fan job. my Chefs knife actually had a bend in part of the blade from my il advise attempt to tap through a large oxtail. they removed that bend and my knife is sharper than it was when it was new. I have used this company for the last year with great results. They charged my card on November 8th then sent me tracking number for my envelope. The tracking still shows the envelope was not given to USPS. I have emailed Sharpenters more than 3 times to ask what the status is and have received zero responses. This company has terrible customer Service. I placed my order on 3/13 and my credit card was immediately charged. They said they would soon send an envelope. A week went by, I heard nothing, and sent an email asking what was going on. Two days later I got an email back saying they had problems and would I mind using UPS instead. I said whatever, just send the envelope.Two more days went by and I got another email asking AGAIN would I mind using UPS. I again said JUST SEND THE ENVELOPE. A week later (March 29 now) they sent an email saying they had mailed the envelope. On April 5, still no envelope! I asked them to please be honest with me and tell me if it really was sent. On April 15 I finally received the envelope (via USPS) - over one month after placing my order AND PAYING IN FULL for that order. I sent the knives the next day and received a confirmation from USPS that the knives were delivered to them on April 22. Two days later I received an email from them saying they got the knives and "would soon" sharpen them. ANOTHER TWO DAYS go by and I heard nothing. I emailed, they apologized for the delay and said they "would soon" sharpen them. On April 25 - over 6 WEEKS since I placed and paid in full for the order, I got my knives back. Sent them 2 high quality kitchen knives on 2 occasions. The first time, the knives came back acceptably sharp. The second time, the quality of worksmanship was terrible and one knife was much more dull than when sent to them. They offered to attempt to sharpen this one again. When received the second time, this knife was once again extremely dull and basically unserviceable. I asked if they could cancel my subscription and issue a refund since the desired service was never performed satisfactorily despite two attempts. They were happy to cancel my subscription but declined to issue a refund citing details of their "terms of service". I take this to mean that their terms of service conveniently permit them to charge customers for very poor and unacceptable workmanship. My experience indicates they seem to have major quality control issues and lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Recommend finding another service that knows what they are doing, practices good quality control, and stands behind their work. Plenty of other options - go elsewhere. read more
