I found Jane through social media and learned a friend also goes to her, so we decided to give her a chance. Jane was very welcoming and took the time to understand my daughter's hair coloring history. She also listened to what my daughter wanted and gave her options to help achieve those hair goals so that we both felt comfortable. Booked an appointment online on a Friday for 4p on Sunday. On Saturday, I received a text asking to change the appointment to 9am. We were not available and said the earliest we could come was 2:30p. Fine changed the appointment. Got there, stylist was just getting there and looking for clean towels and a cape we could use. Didn't realize this was a sola salon where they rent suites instead of a full blown salon that would've had the operations down pat. Starting to get concerned but didn't leave. She started washing my daughter's hair and halfway through I noticed a puddle of water gathering on the floor. She also gave me daughter a towel to wipe her ears and neck that kept getting wet. Once the wash was done and my daughter got up, she told me her dress was a little wet. Stylist apologized but sat her down for the haircut. She started getting her head ready for the haircut and parted and clipped everything and I mentioned that my daughter parts her hair on the left. She said that's fine I'll cut it first and adjust later. Ok. Then she started cutting her hair by hanging the hair over the chair cushion .. I was a little confused on how that was going to end up straight but I know nothing about cutting hair so we kept going. 30 min of cutting later, ready for blow dry. That's when I started to see the opportunities. Big uneven. I asked her to straighten it out which she did but she didn't blow dry her all the way so the wet hair is also not straight. Anyways, hair is not cut straight and daughter's dress was actually soaked in the back. Will not come back.

I have never seen it in my life and I get cuts regularly for layers. At the end she started curling and I told her I didn't want her to curl it because I wanted to see the hairstyle without it done. She said she would just do the ends, but she proceeded to do the whole head and I'm just appalled at this point. I went out with a curled head of hair and showed disappointment in my reactions but she said that as long as I style it it'll look good. I went in wanting a low maintenance haircut and now I have to curl it all the time?! I flew back to where I lived and couldn't take it anymore. My hair looked horrible.
