This was my first time going to Sivana for a haircut and I absolutely loved the experience. I originally wanted to keep a longer length but decided to go shorter, which I'm so happy I did. I have straight hair and am a fitness trainer so I wanted a style that would be easy to style but still had good movement to it and Sivana did just that. The salon itself was clean and well kept. Easy to book. After booking online I received a text they required a $25 deposit for certain November and December appointments. I had to cancel an updo appointment with 19 day notice and was still charged the deposit. This was not clearly communicated and a bummer. I totally understand a no show fee or late cancellation fee but this was 19 days in advance! But it is what it is..... Sharing so others know and to request they provide more clarity around this deposit policy. read more

I've been seeing Mali Sharifi for my hair cuts, and most recently for grey coverage. I appreciate Mali so much, upon our first appointment she carefully cut sections of my hair in preparation for wig donation. She took her time and was accommodating. My only complaint is the lighting in there is dark. I like that my stylist at the time was available during the weekend, she was fast and did exactly as I asked. I think her name is Gabby or Gabriela. I won't be returning because I have social anxiety Im not a big talker and I understand stylist make conversation but it gets awkward for me after a while and I want to leave but that's on me and not the stylist. Then, she saved me in a pinch. My work didn't approve of the color block so Lori was able to squeeze me in within a couple days to get it dyed all copper. I went to Gabrielle who texted me the night before my appointment to push it back an hour and a half. I was fine with it but when I arrived found out it was because she wanted to cut her friend's hair. I was also sitting there for 20 minutes after my scheduled start time. I didn't realize how messed up my hair was until I got home. I asked for an undercut and now half of my head is shaved and not even lined up. I know it is partially on me for not asking her to show me how much she was taking off but everything happened so fast. I wish she would have asked me but she just cut it. I have never seen an undercut go up so high. This is going to be a nightmare to grow out. I'm about $100 down for a busted haircut. I don't recommend this establishment and I ESPECIALLY don't recommend Gabrielle unless you want to ruin your hair. read more

I've been coming to Salon Adelante- specifically to see Sivana- for almost a year. Haircuts can be anxiety-inducing, but Sivana is such a lovely, considerate, and trustworthy stylist! I've attached haircuts from several visits. During my most recent visit, I wanted to make a pretty big change (very long hair to shag wolf cut!) Sivana was so excited to help me achieve the look and asked MANY questions to ensure we were aligned on vision. She also cut very gradually to make sure the length wasn't jarring/was what I wanted. Finally, she even checked in on me the following week to make sure I was happy with the cut- which I am!! If you go see Sivana, you'll be in wonderful and capable hands :) read more
