This place was a major let down. My husband had been looking forward to getting a "bucket" cocktail the whole trip. Cut to our last night (8/24/26) and we decided it was time to check off the last thing from our to-do list before going home the next day. When we walked in there was a sign instructing us to sit wherever, so we sat downstairs on the left side of the building and a waitress brought menus to our table. I told her we were only there for buckets & snacks and asked if we were in the right area or if we should be at the bar. She seemed friendly and told us we were fine where we were. We ordered 2 buckets (coco bango & goombay smash) as well as loaded fries, onion rings, and fried mushrooms. The fries and onion rings were pretty good but the mushrooms were really watery in such an unpleasant way. The ambiance in there was a little strange (tons of loud TVs, dark, and kinda sticky feeling) but maybe just not my cup of tea and that's ok. Where things got weird was with the waitress. After giving us our order, she never came back to check on us even though I saw her walking around giving other tables their checks and hanging out in the back room. We had also been done for quite some time and hadn't gotten our check. I finally had to flag someone down and have them find her, even still, it took forever for her to come to our table. I would be more understanding if this place was remotely busy, but it was dead, so there's no excuse. I get that working in the service industry can be challenging but the bare minimum (checking in on your table and bringing them their check promptly) wasn't even met here. Again, sucky end to our trip and a major disappointment. Good thing there are tons of other amazing places we can go to next trip instead!

Food was good service was not so great, server was not very attentive it took 20 minutes to get beer. beer coming late was not main problem she was standing around the whole time when restaurant was not busy at all dancing in the back kitchen just not very on task. very cute beachy restaurant though.

I was forced to come here to meet some friends. I think I would have liked to gone to Beachcomber instead but here we are. I ordered the crab sandwich It was pretty good but not much flavor It did come with lettuce tomato and onion and I also ordered extra tartar and red sauce. We ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and it was good. They ordered conch fritters and they were horrible do not get them they taste like nothing but flavored bread. The smoked white fish dip was good. There were eight of us. But the food came out pretty quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. We set upstairs. Front parking and back parking dirt parking lot. Place to go if you're in a pinch and need a quick lunch.

The food was so good I first ordered shrimp salad bowl, but the shrimp is cold, so I switched it to fish platter. Best decision! The fish is basa fish, kind like catfish. I never heard of basa fish, never had it before, but it's so tender. Love it. I had two sides, broccoli and salad. Broccoli was over cooked to me, salad was good. Hubby had whaler sandwich with one side, onion rings. He was impressed with both, said it was the best onion rings and whaler sandwich he had ever had! The restaurant is old Florida style, not a fancy place. But we like the charms of this place. Lots of outdoor seating, perfect if you come with your fur baby. Oh, they even have doggy menu, how thoughtful! The service was good. We asked for a to go cup for unsweet tea, the waitress gave us a fresh cup! Oh, you pay less if you pay in cash!

Started our vacay with lunch at Oasis. Solid place with good food and great service from Nikki. Our choices ran the gamut. Kids had hot dogs and naked wings with french fries worth stealing from their plates. Fish dip came with tortilla chips and carrot sticks and was a nice serving size. Oysters are usually served after 4pm but on the weekends available after 11am luckily for us. We had the Oasis which were crispy and tasty and very fresh raw oysters. The blackened fish tacos were enough to share with the table. The crab Benedict was so good we ordered an extra crab cake. We sat upstairs surrounded by TVs that had every sport you could think of even ESPN20 showing a marble race!! Something for everyone. Oh, and the beer was cold and finished the meal with creamy key lime pie.

I liked this place a lot. It's a two floor local little dive bit with great lice music on the second floor , awesome food and drinks and the service was quick and easy! It's definitely a place to hang out for good food and drinks with friends and family !

We loved this bar. We were here on my Birthday and had a real good time winding down our night. The locals were so nice, as usual (very St. Augustine-good people). The bartender was friendly and quick even though it was a crowded Friday night. We did not have food, but the look and smell of the food sat near us for others was very tempting. We had several beers and a birthday shot made up by the bartender (Girl Scout Cookie). It was really good, and I loved spending the end of my birthday here. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

Shoutout to our local community heroes!!! Not only is the food amazing, but I feel in love with all the people- the owner Jan is such a sweet Spirit! I was blessed to meet her at her warehouse during the SUPER SCENIC 150 MILE GARAGE SALE event on 11/15/25. I bought so many treasures! The staff here at this venue was the most valuable treasure find!! Tom in his bright yellow t-shirt and even brighter happy Spirit welcomed us from the parking lot and showed us all the many seating options. There's a huge inside dining area, a counter top eating area, a huge sports bar seating area upstairs, and a huge outdoor seating area... dog friendly patio complete with water bowls. We enjoyed the perfect outdoor weather and sat in the warm sun. Nikki was tasked with keepin' us between the navigational lines here on our first visit. She is amazing, kind, personable, and genuine! She gave us TLC and made sure we had a wonderful experience. A cold Yuengling and a Guinness to wet whistle and cruise us into as we had a generous portion of golden brown conch fritters and a bowl of hearty clam chowder. Yumm! Then I had peel and eat shrimp! They were big and sweet! So Perfect that even Bubba Gump would have approved! I had a side of cheesy grits!! ProHubby had a blackened fish sandwich! It was masterfully prepared and so well balanced! We were so full, but Nikki was accommodating me with helping by not letting me pass -up taking a piece of homemade key lime pie! Which was a hit!! My husband is from Florida and this pie is legit! We were informed about the Saturday garage sale by the accountant. We also had a cool discussion with her about the upcoming Thanksgiving buffet. They have already had a lot of response and they are excited about this first time celebration with the community. This will definitely help with the need for this type of opportunity to gather. The next morning we camp for breakfast and the garage sale. Nikki told us that several breakfast/brunch items are available until 2pm almost every day. That is cool to have that option! This morning we were again greeted by the amazing Tom and since we brought our big cane corso we enjoyed the patio again. Tom gave her a dog treat and a water bowl. She loved it! We were taken care of by the Joelie. She was warm, happy, professional, and attentive. I of course had to order biscuits and gravy ... yummy biscuits and sausage gravy and I ordered a side of savory links! Hubby had awesome steak and eggs and grits!!! The were easily consumed!!! Generous portions! The coffee was great!! The even have a Dog Menu!!!! We ordered our Belle a beef patty and an extra biscuit!!! She made fast work of it and devoured it!!! Two paws up to the chef!!! I was able to get a good morning hug from Nikki who was busy inside with all her happy patrons!!! This is going to be a regular spot for us it appears! Tom even said, " We will see you again, right?" Yes, Tom, we look forward to our next visit :)

    Portable AC unit

What you get for what you pay for it's stupid. $12 for eight fried mushrooms small mushrooms.. my make ultra taste like it's skunked which means been in the sun and then in the cold and then hot again.. There's no good vibe here whatsoever as advertised and truthfully, there's nothing special about this place at all except overpriced food for below average food. The people that work here aren't exactly pleasant to be around. This will never happen again. We're still sitting here waiting for our main course and worse than that. I ordered the chicken finger basket and just found out. It only comes with damn chicken fingers only... I had to buy fries extra!! I've never heard of that entire life!! a basket is exactly what it means chicken fingers and fries or onion rings.. This is my first time the last time ever coming here... don't listen to the people who post five stars or four stars because they're full of shit and they probably work here.. The AC is a really Worker either there's AC unit right in front of our table portable!! DONT EAT HERE! Shop for food instead!!

The World Famous Oasis is on A1A convenient for us. It claims to be a tiki Hut type restaurant but I didn't really see any tiki Hut.. hahaha. Anyway, there was clearly a lot of fish on the menu. They also have a breakfast menu. I had the whaler sandwich which had cheese and two types of peppers, sauce and lettuce. It was excellent. One of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had. I would come here again if I'm in the area.

Trivia, Great Food, Service at the World Famous Oasis. Tuesday...every other and every Thursday. Fun time
    Yellow R.

We always enjoyed the Oasis. Very casual and decent food, and young servers that try to please. This time, it was good again with adequate portions and nice choices on the beer. The big disappointment was the Chardonnay wine that I ordered. It was old, spoiled, and undrinkable. My partner tried it, and felt the same. Our waitress took it back, and brought another one and while it was a tad improved still undrinkable. The only time this happened before were Chardonnay discounted bottles at Walgreens, or a glass at a Chinese restaurant. Barefoot is a house Chardonnay to be considered. Open bottles should be refrigerated. Please check your house stock. Something went awry. On the positive side, no charge, and the Diet Pepsi was refreshing. This is one strike in 40 years.

Glad we did! We ended up walking there and it was easy to get to. When we walked inside, we were able to get a table inside right away. It was clean and cutely decorated. Our server came by quickly and got our drink and food order in. I ordered the breakfast tacos (comes with 2 good sized tacos) - sooooooooo good! They hit the spot! What got me... it had goat cheese on it! It was delicious. My husband got the fish tacos and he said they were good too! Definitely a great place for breakfast and lunch if you're in the area!! For our visit this time they said about a 30 minute wait which was actually 20 minutes. The vibe of the place is very cool with the old jukebox and a bar as well as tables both inside and outside. We were seated outside this visit which was fine as it was shady. I had the corned beef has with hash browns and 2 sunny side eggs. The corned beef is full of shredded corned beef with just a small amount of potatoes. The hash browns with onions were nice and crispy as I asked and the eggs were cooked nicely with the right amount of run when broken. My wife has the Classic Breakfast which is somewhat similar to what I had but with no meat. Hers was done nicely too. Thanks for a nice visit and see you the next time we're back to St. Augustine Beach!

Also, Jeff (the manager) stopped by our table, took the time to chat with us and made us feel right at home. We appreciated the old-school St. Augustine Southern hospitality that has been lost since the inevitable growth of the area. You definitely can't go wrong with their Fried Shrimp and Chicken Wings (loved the flavors of that buttery Garlic Parm)! Both seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ample outside seating steps away from the beach, feeling the breeze off of the Atlantic Ocean, a truly laid-back atmosphere, sunburnt tourist watching and counting all the Jeeps heading out to brave the soft sand while enjoying an ice cold beer or sweet tea...so priceless.

She started us out with baked oysters and they were good, but it was too much bacon and cheese for me personally. My daughter got the stuffed flounder with corn casserole as we called it, as her side. It was delicious! Probably the best thing ordered! Tacos and kids grilled fish was great too! Definitely a solid amount of fish nuggets in the taco. The fries were some of the best ive ever had. For the seafood feast, we ordered scampi style and it was good, but it reminded me of a clam sauce style, not really buttery and garlicky. It was still good, but what disappointed me was the melted plastic bag served at the table. It was difficult to open, even our server had trouble opening. Idk why everyone loves serving food in plastic bags. It's sooo hot from the steam that plastic leaches into the food. I don't get the infatuation with this, unless you're ordering to go. The fans upstairs are a nice and necessary touch and not too hot up there, despite being summer in July. I would go back and order the stuffed flounder again! Seriously, that was the best thing we ordered. Ashley was johnny on the spot too!

Our server was attentive at the start--she took drink orders as each portion of our group arrived and kept things moving smoothly. As we got closer to closing time (2:00 PM), service shifted a bit. About 15 minutes before closing, as we were wrapping up, our server stopped checking in. This was our first visit, though friends in our group had been once before and described it as "just okay," which felt accurate to us as well. We always like supporting local spots, and this was an easy meeting location, so we were hopeful. It's also worth noting they currently hold a strong 4.5 rating, and it seems like many locals really enjoy this place. That said, the biggest drawback for us was the portion size compared to the pricing. One person in our group ordered a Reuben, and the meat didn't even cover the bottom slice of bread--with not enough to redistribute. The fries portion was very small (more like a kids' serving), and the plate was around $13. That seemed to be the general theme--nothing tasted bad, but nothing stood out, and portions felt light across the board. Atmosphere-wise, it's what you'd expect from a diner--casual, relaxed, and easygoing. We'd consider going back for convenience, but it's not a place we'd go out of our way for. With a few adjustments--especially around portion sizes--this could easily match the reputation it already seems to have with locals.
