Having been to a lot of dentists, I've experienced everything from hygienists performing acupuncture on my gums to not being properly numbed for a filling to having two root canals done on the same tooth on the same day because the first guy did it wrong and sent me to his mentor to fix it. NOTHING LIKE THAT WOULD EVER HAPPEN WITH DR. WONENBERG! Seriously, this man is the best dentist I've ever had (and in spite of the horror stories above, I've had some good ones). Great touch, definitely cares about the patients and the work he and his staff do, and he's at the front edge of modern dental technology. If you need a dentist and you can get Dr. Wonenberg, you won't just be happy, you'll be truly blessed.

That was almost 30 years ago, and now I always pray that he remains in good health so he can continue dentistry. He does use hearing aids, but that doesn't deter his service. I really appreciate how he does "the shots"; he has a technique that makes it quite tolerable. All of his work has been top-notch; he is worth what he charges, which has to cover a professional and nice office. I only had one glitch with him, but that's cuz he is a mainstream doctor; he does not care to hear about my use of tea tree oil and neem toothpaste when I tell him why, according to him, "I have the best gums he's seen". Also, when I got an infection in my jaw after a root canal, he would not admit that I had gotten one; fortunately, I was able to get antibiotics from another doctor. But alternative dentists tell the truth about how root canals can lead to infection.
