Went here for a group of four for dinner and it was great! We went on a Sunday night, and they don't take reservations for groups less than 6 so we provided our name and were told to check back in 20 minutes (a little frustrating they don't take your phone number to contact you). Thirty minutes later, we came back and table still wasn't ready so we sat in their heated tent on the side yard and drank some Manhattans while we waited. Our table was worth the wait - got a great booth table near the front of the restaurant! The four of us split the mushroom risotto, eggplant caponata, grilled cabbage, lamb kabobs and half roasted chicken. I think we all agreed the grilled cabbage was our favorite dish with the delicious romesco sauce! My husband and I also really enjoyed the half roasted chicken - the others thought it was slightly salty, but the cook was perfect and had a nice and crispy skin. The eggplant was also very tasty and fresh and came with some grilled bread - our server suggested extra bread and it was a little annoying to be charged $2 for extra bread especially since he recommended it for a party of four. Besides that, our server was super attentive and took great care of us. Really enjoyed this elevated meal in Salida!

Colby went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner so special! She is a gem of a human being. The food was delightful. I have been looking forward to coming here for months for my birthday dinner since one of my chef friends in Denver told me the owner used to own one of my favorite spots in Austin. A beautiful small world! Now for the food: it was one of the best meals I've had in MONTHS. Everything was delish. The lamb kabob was out of the world. I can not wait to come back again soon and see what other amazing bites are on the menu. This is a very special place.

The food was delicious! The service couldn't have been better. Our favorite was the lamb kabobs with chimichuri sauce.

Then the eggplant, steak with the pais butter (curry flare), lamb kabob (the kids fought over it) , chicken (we all fought over that) and the potatoes.

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.

We sat at the bar because we heard great things about the happy hour from the locals. 2 Food: We researched before coming to Breckenridge what place had the best burger and Aurum's French Onion Burger came up at the top of the list. It did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection (we like medium rare) and the sea salt french fries were delicious (no condiments needed for the burger or the fries)!! 3. Employees: The Hostess was friendly and got us seated right away. The Bartenders (Mike and George) made our evening a blast. Mike Ruda has a signature drink on the menu that he created called the Duck Fat Cadillac and it is a home run cocktail (10 out 10)!! George Johnson is a great conversationalist and is engaged with the customers. We showed him a twist to our favorite drink back home in San Antonio, the Carajillo and he made it perfectly! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Breckenridge and make sure you grab a seat at the bar and enjoy the conversations and the Duck Fat Cadillac!!

The pasta special was incredible, cauliflower appetizer was full of great flavors, and their duck main dish was unique and brilliantly prepared. Let's not forget their chocolate cake desert! Overall a very good vibe and very inviting to hang out. Service: Friendly and fast Food: Menu is definitely a step above your classic bar food, I got a sandwich special and steak tips. The sandwich was a grilled cheese croissant that included smoked gouda and balsamic reduction and it was really good. The steak tips were okay, decent flavor, a little chewy, maybe because they were cut so small? Value: Total after tip was $30ish for a 'just right' portion so may a little over valued. Overall this place was such a good vibe with chill staff and good food.
