The staff's attitude immediately gave me the impression that customer service was not a priority. When I politely asked for some hair product and to wash my hands, I was met with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The haircut itself was even more disappointing. The barber seemed determined to rush through the appointment, attempting to finish my haircut in about 10 minutes. I had to stop him because I wasn't happy with the result and asked him to fix it. Throughout the entire appointment, he made no effort to engage in even basic conversation. I tried several times to be friendly, ask questions, and make the experience enjoyable, but received almost nothing in return. I paid $70 for a haircut and beard service, and I genuinely feel like I wasted my money. The beard trim, which cost $30, lasted no more than two minutes and looked like almost no work had been done. The entire appointment felt rushed, careless, and completely lacking in attention to detail. I don't mind paying premium prices when the quality, professionalism, and customer experience justify it. Unfortunately, none of those were present here. Instead, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and regretting my decision to give this place a chance. With how difficult the economy is today, customers deserve businesses that appreciate their support and take pride in their work. Based on my experience, this barbershop fell far short of that standard. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, and I will not be returning. If I could, I would give them a negative score from how bad the whole situation was. PLEASE, do no go here EVER EVER.

I moved into the area a year ago and tried unsuccessfully to find a place that could cut my short pixie hairstyle and not have it look like a hot mess a week later. My husband went to this barber shop and I liked his cut so much I went in and asked if they could cut mine. Ari said "sure" and I got the best cut I've had in years. I've never felt anything but respectfully welcomed by all who work there and, if I were a man, I could love to have the hot towel shave - it looks very relaxing. So glad I found them! read more

I asked for 1/2 inch shorter and I'm not sure if the barber that cut my hair even knew English because I look in the mirror and he cut over an inch off, making my hair really really short. Now my hair just looks stupid for the next 2 months. Do not recommend at all go anywhere else read more

In fact, I even went back to Houston several times before taking the plunge and trying a new guy in Phoenix. After doing some research online, and considering several barbershops, I decided to go with Barbershop Jack. Barbershop Jack is located on High Street in Desert Ridge. There's plenty of free parking either on the street, the surface lots surrounding the entertainment district, or the parking garage. Part of what I like about Barbershop Jack is that they're open on the later side for a barbershop. Which makes it easier with work and everything. It's a good looking and clean barber shop too. My barber is Nick. He's a friendly guy and he has done a good job cutting my hair. I brought him a picture of what I was looking for and he pulled it off. He asks you before he cuts a certain length, which is awesome. There's nothing worse than getting more hair cut than you told your barber. Nothing you can do at that point. Nick makes sure there's no risk of that. After your cut, they will put some hot lather on you, a warm towel on your face, and massage you with a back massager for 30 seconds or so. It's a nice touch. My only real complaint is that the haircuts aren't cheap at $45 a pop. I researched 4 other barbershops and Barbershop was the second most expensive. With your tip, you're paying a pretty penny for a haircut. I understand part of it is the location. While I wish their rates were a little cheaper, they do a good job. And after your fresh cut, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area if you'd like to make an evening out of it.

He shaped it to a long point on my chin. And kept just my chin long. And he cut my mustache that I didn't want cut in the first place. Then he kept pushing to cut my head hair that I always cut myself. After enough of him asking I finally gave in. It cost me 40$ for both top of head and beard. Didn't know what he really did yet and tipped him another 10$. When I got home and really looked at it I was pissed. That's 50$ for a chopped cut that I ended up just cutting everything down all to one length when I got home. 6 months of growth, chopped up, gone. For what he did for 50$, I could have done a better job myself at home for free. What a rip off. I am so pissed.
