Had my 2nd visit this evening & I must say I am feeling better already! I called last week on a Thursday AM & left a vcmail & Dr Shaw called me back that afternoon & scheduled for the following week with me. Impressive availability!! He then asked me to come back in the next day for follow up & I informed him I get off late on Friday's & he said he would accomodate me on a Friday no less! I am really impressed with the care; how I'm feeling, and in just 2 short visits & feel very happy I am able to tackle my neck/back/arm issues so quickly & see results happening!! I know I'm no where near completely pain free, or may never be, but every lil bit of relief is such an awesome feeling! My pain is currently about at a 5-6 instead of a 7-9. He treated me 3 or 4 times and after the last treatment, I went home in excruciating pain. I had paid him upfront for about $1,600.00. I asked for a refund and he said sure, no problem. Fast forward 6 weeks and still no refund and he explained to me he did not want to put it back on the card I used because they would charge him. I told him to just pay me, and I would pay the credit card. He deducted $150.00 from my refund. So, I pay for a fee he never got charged. When I questioned him it was clear he would say anything to get out of paying the honest amount. Any person that is dishonest straight to your face about money, will more than likely be dishonest in other ways too. There are a lot of ethical chiropractors out there. You don't know the real person until a problem comes up. He is a liar and a cheat in my opinion. He does not deserve your business. read more

I was in so much pain and all offices were booked up. Couldn't get in anywhere. I was recommended to this office by a co-worker. I called the office and Dr Shaw got me in right away. He really knew his stuff. I was 23 weeks pregnant when I went in complaining about my ribs being out of place and my arms going numb at night. He adjusted me and I immediately felt better. Dr. Shaw, I can't thank you enough! On Monday, I had examined my client, who we thought to be in early labor and found that her baby was in a right posterior position. I suggested she see a chiropractor. Since their regular chiropractor was ill that day, they found and called you and amazingly you got them in for an adjustment right away. After you adjusted her and applied the Webster Technique, her right ligament released. After being thoroughly disappointed by what my regular physician and OBGYN had to offer for solutions (narcotics, bed rest, or inducing early) for sudden and severe pain while pregnant I decided to try Dr. Shaw. My husband and I went (him for a very stiff, painful neck and shoulder issues after a fall/injury), and I could not have been more impressed and ecstatic with my results. He took his time, listened, evaluated each of us and was very knowledgeable and friendly. After that initial visit, it was also helpful that subsequent visits went quick, making it easy to fit into a busy day. Most importantly though...it HELPED...a LOT! I had tried warm baths, heating pads, ice packs, resting, stretches, and tylenol while dealing with nearly debilitating pain with very little to NO relief. He diagnosed my issue and began adjusting me, by the 2nd visit I was almost forgetting about how much pain I had been in before. I was surprised at how quickly I began to feel better. We got on his family plan and it was the best decision for all of us! My husband suffered for a year and a half with major vertigo. It got to the point where his vision became blurry and he was not able to drive. We had been to neurologists and eventually had an MRI done which detected nothing wrong. We didn't know where to go from here. Dr Shaw is an amazing Chiropractor! Our son has been seeing a chiropractor since he was 11 months old. Very long story. I will try keep it short. We have seen doctor after dr, specialist after specialist. When my son could not crawl at 11 months, we took him to the chiropractor and he crawled, when he couldn't walk we took him back to chiropractor and he walked. When he was having sensory overload, his chiropractor helped. It didn't cure him it helped him. Hard to explain unless you were there and know our son. I can not describe to you what we were going through, I just know that it was a tough ride. Medical Doctors cannot explain why adjustments help my son they just tell me don't stop the chiropractic treatments. My son is now 6 and we moved out to Temecula 9 months ago and we have been seeing Dr. Shaw ever since. He does a different technique that I have never seen before, and it has by far been the best treatment for my son. No pills, no more test no more tears! Just our scheduled adjustments. Due to computer work, I have severe neck and back pains which affect my work and sleep, and I'm only 30 years old. I went in for an "adjustment", and it temporarily relieved some pain. Dr. Shaw convinced me to sign up for a long term plan and get adjustments 2-3 a week at a cost of over $1,200. Him and his daughter (who works the front desk) assured/promised me that if I do this my problems will be resolved permanently. I told Dr. Shaw that my Medical Doctor (REAL doctor) had told me to see a Physical Therapist - he balked at that notion and told me chiropractic is the only solution. $1,200 later, I am back to where I started with no hope in sight. Now I can no longer afford the Physical Therapy recommended by my REAL / INSURED Doctor. Before I signed up for the plan, Dr. Shaw originally took an x-ray and special scan showing pain points in my neck. However, during the 3+ months after I signed up the plan, he never took any other xray's/scans to review the progress being made. I told him many times that it doesn't seem to be working and I am in severe pain, and I also asked several times what more I can do. He said he would show me some neck exercises, he said he would order me a special neck pillow, and said he would take another xray/scan to review progress. NONE OF THIS EVER HAPPENED. Every time I came in, he just cracked my neck and sent me on my way. Anyone can do that. He didn't care whatsoever that my situation was not improving. If Dr. Shaw did not swear that this would be resolved permanently, I would have never spent this money. Please don't trust him as I did. read more

I've been coming to Dr Shaw for a couple of months now. I had no hope that my neck or back would ever get better or feel better. I was in an accident when I was 17 which caused severe issues for me. I physically couldn't stand up straight and I was actually 2 inches shorter than before the accident. Twenty-seven weeks pregnant with my first baby. I was having terrible rib pain and lower back pain on my right side. I asked my OB/GYN and she said there was nothing I could do. Friends of mine recommended I see a chiropractor. I put off scheduling an appointment but I woke up one day in excruciating pain and I made a few phone calls. I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Shaw as having a subluxation (vertebrae misalignment). Subluxations are featured prominently in his office and advertised on his windows. I have since learned that the chiropractic version of vertebral subluxation is different than that of a medical doctor, and the chiropractic version is a source of controversy due to claims of far reaching effects on health and disease. Shaw makes such claims. In addition, he also claims that he can help improve AUTISM with chiropractic techniques. After stopping my visits to Shaw, I went to a medical doctor who determined that the actual problem was a bulged disk in my spine and that I had no subluxation. Shaw's "treatments" gave me no improvement and only lasted on average 1 minute. By contrast my "real" doctor was able to refer me to a pain clinic, which had my problem solved within a day. Don't waste your money here. The x-ray you'll get there won't reveal problems with soft tissue like a disk (if that's your problem); that can only be seen using an MRI or similar technique. Go to a legitimate physical therapist or a medical doctor where you can be diagnosed properly and get the help you actually need. read more
