My fiancé just opened my eyes to this restaurant for the first time a couple weeks ago. WOW I have been missing SO much. We purchased the mixed shawarma and it is packed full of flavor! It honestly is one of the most delicious foods I've ever had. This location is super fast, the gentleman that work here are extremely friendly and they have certainly given me an experience to where I will continue to visit. So so so so good! I don't know why I'm so surprised but I had my favorite my second favorite and my third favorite and this place just wasn't on my radar for some reason! Thanks to DoorDash, it is now. It may in fact be my new favorite, for shawarma at least! The only thing I got from here was the Shwarma combo but it is banging! I actually really love this place. I ordered the mixed shawarma sandwich which is the beef and chicken mix and I have to say it was delicious and super filling. The price for the sandwich is a fantastic deal compared to other places and I find that it is more than plenty to eat. Well to be fair the food is good and I usually get the feast for two. Which has a good assortment of chow more than enough to satisfy. But I also judge a establishment by how well they clean up, this place is nasty from what I seen last time I was there. Also a few other times it was just a little ruff and now is the time to review and things are looking better. The food has the same quality 7 out of 10. Not bad, for me and my dog. We ate well. I'm like the guys in the Snickers commercials...a bit of biach when I'm hungry..Driving home I needed to get something to each but not from the usual fast food type places...Shawarma Express presented a healthy alternative sandwich to the usual junk food... The building is well lighted from the inside and appears to be clean. It's your typical order station and then sit and wait place. As I have not been there before I let a woman behind me go ahead because I wanted to study the menu...maybe she didn't know how to read or was just being discourteous because she began to ask 1,001 questions..(no lady we do not all live in your world) so I had to wait...my fault for being nice. the cashiers fault for not asking if I knew what I wanted and get my order in and me out so they can meet the Express portion of my expectations. I placed my order for two sandwiches only. Shish Kafta and Meat Shawarma. I wanted the Shish Tawook but I was told it would take awhile so I changed my order. My wait was about 10-12 minutes. Not really express. when those who placed their orders after mine came and went I asked if mine was about ready...They said I have to wait...I really didn't want to get into it with them because I thought what's the point...I was told afterwards that the Kafta takes longer as it's cooked on Charcoal. Ok but I didn't get the Tawook because I didn't want to wait so why would I want to wait for the Kafta?!....Just a bad communication on the young girl taking orders...I think she was new and not very sure of everything yet.. As an apology for my wait I was given a free hummus from I think the owner.... I got home and the Meat Shawarma was excellent and the added garlic and pita bread they gave me with the hummus was just what the meal needed. I'll go back, but they need to work on the flow of taking orders and educating their clientele. If they continue to strive for customer satisfaction they will succeed. I ordered take out from this restaurant for the first time last night. The person who was making my food made a mistake on the order and immediately corrected it by making up a new batch. They were kind and seemed to be more heartbroken over the mistake than I was. Over-all the food we received was great, much better than the other middle-eastern restaurants surrounding it. I pass this restaurant almost twice a week and was a little afraid to try it due to the way it looks. The restaurant is VERY clean but has a very "cheap" set-up. My fiancé and I ordered carry-out yesterday evening because we had been craving Middle Eastern food for awhile... Since it was Sunday, and most places were getting ready to close, Shawarma Express is open until 8pm on Sundays. I placed the order for 1 Chicken Shawarma Entrée with Rice and side Fattoush Salad, and 1 Shish Kafta Entrée with Rice and side Fattoush Salad. The side salads were great, dressing on the side so the salad didn't get soggy, it was a large portion for a side salad. We also ordered a small hummus. They did provide pita bread to go, in small individual bags. Our meals- It was OK? Chicken tasted really dry, with the spices and Middle Eastern flavors lacking.. The rice... tasted like white rice with garlic and spices.. did not taste like well cooked, middle eastern rice at all. We were really disappointed. It was $34 for 2 entrees and a small hummus which seems kind of pricy for the quality of food you're getting. read more

I will start by saying that for a carryout type place i think it is excellent! We ordered the dinner for two. It took a little bit. About twenty minutes... but it was a ton of food!!!! It fed three of us and i still have plenty left over! I'm not sure if it was the owner but the cook gave my step daughter and order of baklava on the house and she was just thrilled! The large crushed lentil soup (their only choice, though what I would have likely chosen) was pretty good, and it was still hot when I got home. I also ordered a small tabouli, and asked for not a lot of juice. The top half of the tabouli was not too bad, but there was an eight of an inch of juice on the bottom, making me think it was pre-made and had been sitting in the fridge for some time, as opposed to having been made/scooped to order. Despite that, it was decent. What I really wasn`t happy about is spending $10+ and not getting any bread added - almost every other Mideastern restaurant in the area offered free, freshly-made, hot bread with an order. I was charged/paid 50 cents for on piece of stale pita bread, and ended up throwing most of it away. Bread is only included with their salads if you order meat with it... When you walk in you can tell the decor was new. But it seems when something breaks they leave it. Broken pop machine . Broken menu signs and the dust and oil on everything including the hanging light pendants and even on the take out containers . This all should be a health code violation. I don't think the floor was ever washed. The staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered. The food was pretty good I'll say. But unfortunately we won't be back sad to say. While looking at the menu the woman cashier tried talking is into a $26 meal for two, not at all what we wanted. She was rude and seemed annoyed because we wanted to look over the menu. When we did order the wait was probably 15 minutes. The cooks kept reiterating our order, we specifically wanted no tomatoes on anything, not very hard. When we got our bag of food one of the prep employees apologized because he gave us a large salad instead of a small, which we were excited about, only to get home and realize there was no feta or chicken on the salad, something we paid an extra almost $5 for. The Chicken shwarmas we ordered were decent, but pretty dry. And the fattoush salad was just bland. Had to give it a try, but definitely not worth the money. read more

We had a really good experience here. We ordered a shawarma sandwich and a shish kabob dinner. They were busy, we took the last table and waited for our food. Considering the six orders ahead of us it came in a reasonable amount of time. My sandwich was nice and juicy. The beef was full of flavor and I really enjoyed it. The kabob was steak, mmm, served over rice with a nice serving of hummus and a side salad. The rice was cooked just right, not overcooked. The salad dressing was homemade and delicious. It's difficult to mess up hummus, for me I like it the consistency of pudding and it was on the runny side but that's me. It was still very good. The staff asked if we liked our food, that was nice. They explained that all the meat is cooked to order. (That would explain a previous review of long wait). It appears that business is picking up so that's probably a good idea to order ahead. The menu is basis, straightforward Lebanese food. They even have kibbee which I will order on my next visit. It's good to see an ethnic restaurant open and bring variety to the area. Definitely a solid close-by carryout but not a replacement for a sit down restaurant with lentil soup and hot bread. read more

Hey all: I've been here a few times. Pretty good stuff! The "meat" schwarma is my "go to" meal. The lunch special is the best deal. You get your choice of meat (beef or chicken), rice or fries, and salad. I am a big eater, but it is a task to eat the lunch special. Frequently, I will only eat half of it for lunch and then eat the rest for snacks or dinner. Sometimes I get the fries, and you will get a TON of them. Salads are pretty good, especially the fatoosh. Service is usually pretty good. Only negatives is the parking and it is a bit run down. HOWEVER, if you want fresh food fast & cheap & tasty, this is the place to be. I recommend it. read more

When it finally did arrive it wasn't very good, messy and the bread was too toasted. I was not impressed.
