The chicken shwarma is the best I've ever had. Their rice is delicious and service is always great. The ribs are also very delicious.

They're located in sunland but I live in Tujunga and they always give me no trouble when I order for delivery. Their shawarma is amazing. I always order the large cheese fries but recently they stopped putting their sauce on it which made it way above average. Other than that, i am always satisfied. read more

What a shame- 1 star and that's only because the food is edible other than that shawarma house lacks quality and customer service. After a long day at work I had a few friends over so we decided to stay in and have dinner delivered. I ordered from shawarma house since it's only 5 minutes away. I placed the order which was supposed to include rice, mixed shawarma, hummus, and pita bread. #1 the food took way longer than promised #2 portion of shawarma was ridiculous #3 salad was a joke! How does a restaurant owner even allow romain lettuce and a left over tomato to be on the menu? #4 our food arrived with no Pita bread-(side note: when someone orders food especially a large portion it usually means they don't have much to work with at home and need food on the table asap) so what about that pita bread? #5 oh and the "driver" Forgot the rice too (imagine that!). Ended up waiting another 25 minutes for rice and pita bread to be delivered. By the time everything was delivered the meat was cold chewy and we had already lost our appetite. Shawarma house seems to be running a 1 Man circus. Smh read more

I live right next door so I grab dinner from here once in a while. Under old ownership, the fries and rice would be undercooked here and there but ever since the new owner took over the food is always on point. My absolute favorite is hands down their lentil soup. I will not be coming here again as you go up to the place everyone is sitting right outside smoking then they all fallow you inside they don't greet you or ask what would you like to order they just stood there talking among each other. The food was ok but because of the unsatisfying customer service I didn't get to enjoy my food as much of they would have put more effort on being friendly then we would be coming here at least 3 times a month. We were really looking forward to coming here often and telling friends but this one time ruined all of that. Let me start with the food: which the sandwich was cold as ice because of the amount of lettuce inside. The hummus was the worst I've ever had. The French fries were soggy and uncooked. The service: it was ok the employees were friendly although they seem inexperienced which may have led to a number of problems. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and wrap. I don't consider myself an expert on this style of cuisine but I've eaten at the Mediterranean cafe in pasadena and really enjoyed it so I'll use that as a point of reference. The wrap had chicken, onions and thick slices of tomato. When I think of chicken shawarma, I imagine a good amount of spice, and some slightly acidic tang to counter the grease from the meat. What I got was an ample amount of spice, but that acidic tang was missing. Which was a shame, because the greasiness of the meat was certainly a low point. I don't know how authentic putting lettuce in the wrap would be, but it would've certainly helped. The pita was just regular, wished that it was heated up. The plate came with the same chicken from the wrap, hummus, rice, and pita bread. The sides were all tasty. Overall, I'd recommend this place if it's late on a Friday or Saturday and you've got a craving for Mediterranean. One thing to add, they were out of garlic sauce, which probably would've made this meal a bit better. So next time hopefully the restaurant will have it. read more

First time here, and I was very disappointed with the service. Workers seemed to look like they didn't know what was going on and couldn't answer a simple question we asked. We also waited a good amount of time before we got our food, (around 30-45 minutes for one order) and they didn't bother to apologize for the wait. The workers talk too much to one another instead of actually working. Although the food itself was decent, the workers need to learn more about customer service and being more hospitable. Honestly, won't come by again and would not recommend this place if you hate wait waiting and bad customer service. read more

Called the order in for delivery and was told 40 minutes. 50 minutes later I called to check and was told another 10 minutes. I told them I would pick it up instead. I got there and paid but when I got back I noticed two things: 1. We were missing an item (which when notified, they offered to deliver one) and 2. The order, which had some speical requests was not followed very well (eg. onion where none was asked, hummus when tziki was requested, etc.). Food is good. Customer service needs a lot of help. One person only has a uniform. Greeting guests is important but there is a lack of communication there. Speaking in different languages is not a good thing by customers. Being professional and proper is important. This place would be very busy and you would get a good vibe if it was ran correctly. First off, i'm not local. I needed to get gas & Sunland was the nearest stop. It's Sunday night and most businesses are closed at 8pm. Saw this place and since i like Shawarma, i decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Beef Shawarma plate. It did take around 10 mins to prepare the food, i was rushing to go home so i grabbed it and left as soon as it was ready. I got home, was on my 3rd or 4th bite when i realized... I HAVE TO WRITE A REVIEW ON YELP. It's That Good! Beef was very good, tender, juicy & a good portion. Hummus was on-point. Garlic paste was Perfect! Not overpowering that you need to rinse with mouthwash 5x after eating it. Even the Pita bread was soft and i finished it! Pita breads always go to waste when i get any Kabab/Shawarma plate... Not this one! Even my 3-yr old son enjoyed the Basmati rice & Hummus! I stopped to get gas in the middle of "nowhere" it seemed. Love this place! The shawarma plates are so tasty (chicken is my favorite with beef in second place) and big portions. The hummus is quite good and the sauce they use on the shawarma is really unique. Their shawarma wraps are also good if you're looking for something smaller.
