Had the best chicken kabob plate I've ever had at this Sunland restaurant. The chicken was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. The portion would have satisfied the largest appetite and for me was enough for two meals. The rice and hummus was also perfect and the plate came with the usual tomato, pepper and piece of fresh pita bread. I was wondering if it was a good place to eat never having been there but when I pulled into the parking lot I saw an LAPD car parked there so I knew it was probably good. Police officers don't waste their time eating at bad restaurants! The staff were very friendly and really working hard to keep up so they must have had a lot of delivery orders because it wasn't really full. . The place looks very clean and I like that the cooking is in full sight. They deliver too! I'm really happy to find a good Mediterranean type restaurant in the area. We have a lot of fast food in here but not too many smaller restaurants that serve what I consider to be 'real' food! read more

I went here with my husband and my baby the first time and had shawarma before. I loved their plate so much hat I crave it almost every week! Only if I could afford the calories lol! I have gotten different plates from them already, and their food truly rocks! You have to wait a little bit, as this is not a fast food place but it is definitely worth the wait! I have gone in with my toddler and he usually stands the wait too because there is TV and he watches TV while we are waiting. Moreover, the place has been extremely clean every time I have gone in, and that is extremely important to me, as I get easily disgusted with dirty restaurants. This is a great place guys.. Food was so dry, just terrible. Do not waste your time and money. Roasted chicken was like chicken jerky, looked like a fossil totally inedible. Tabbouleh not fresh too many stems, chicken lule was average, the sauce on the shawarma was off putting, sweet flavored. Zankou will always be best, worth the drive to Pasadena or Glendale. I got some lamb-chops, rice, hummus and pita bread. Everything was delicious, can't get enough of the rice. They also do delivery.

Had a hankering for Shawarma yesterday, and my hubby suggested Shawarma House. We ordered the combo plate. It took a bit to get our order but that is because they make everything fresh and with care. It was so dang tasty I can't even...The combo plate is huge and plenty of food for us to share and have for another meal. Great flavors, juicy meat and the rice is also on-point. Made an internet order for pickup. The order wasn't ready for fully forty minutes even though it was really simple, just two dishes, and they weren't busy. Then they got it wrong! Several mistakes with what we ordered. That might have been fine, but the chicken for the kebab was rubbery and and foul--totally inedible. The fries were somehow undercooked and mushy at the same time. The people at the counter were super rude and unhelpful. Then we called to ask about the mistakes, and instead of answering, they took the phone off the hook and left it on the counter! Seriously, we could hear them walking around and talking! After that, it was just a busy signal. I can deal with crap service and even small errors if the food is good. Especially for tasty takeout. But these people were slow, rude, AND the food was inedible. What a waste of money! Never again. read more
