Straight up, this is a great introduction place for casual eating of middle eastern food if you never had it before. This place is definitely a hit and I won't knock it for that. The quality and prep of the meats was a bit too dry and overdone, but drenched in multiple sauces to cover for that, hence my star retraction. Overall this is essentially a chipotle or panda express for this cuisine. The price and portion size isn't the best either when you compare other similar restaurants. If you are on a hunt for a higher quality and more authentic middle eastern food experience, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Food is absolutely delish!. I've had a hard time finding good middle eastern/Persian/Lebanese food in Denver. This is one of the best places I've come across. The service is great and the staff is friendly. One of the few places that has garlic sauce which makes the meal. A friend who lived in Lebanon for several years brought us to this place, and it has become one of our go-tos. Though it is a no frills type of restaurant, the service and food is top notch. As a vegetarian, there are so many options for me - my go to's are the lentil soup and the kids' vegetarian plate with a side of garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is unlike anything I have ever had before. How they can make it so whipped and creamy without any dairy products is beyond me - the first day I went here I went ham on the sauce and woke up with an intense garlic taste in my mouth for the next three days. Whoops! Totally worth it though. I've tried the garlic sauce at several other Mediterranean restaurants, but none compare to Shawarma - it's my absolute favorite. The kids' veggie plate is a great portion size and includes salad, 3 falafels, & rice - that combined with a bowl of soup is plenty for dinner. My partner loves the chicken shawarma plate with baba ganouj instead of hummus. The employees are always super friendly and make you feel welcomed here. Decided to try this place based upon good Yelp reviews, and I'm glad that we did. I ordered the Lamb Wrap and my friend ordered a Chicken Shwarma Plate. Both dishes were excellent. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, and the staff is very friendly. Biggest problem was parking, since they are located in a congested King Soopers shopping center. Mediterranean food is always a great choice for falafel-loving vegans. This, however, was a bit short of 'great'. I love the 'build your own' format so I was able to make this wrap exactly how I wanted. The ingredients were decent but I would've liked to see more veggies. Iceberg lettuce is about all you'll get for greens. I also added hummus, pico de gallo, corn, and potatoes. I'll definitely give them credit for not being shy with the falafel - 4 massive balls of it here. It was also soft-baked and not fried which is my personal preference. It all tasted pretty decent. I won't give them any points for presentation though. This thing was a mess. They basically just threw it all together, wrapped it in foil, and smashed it on the grill. The foil stuck to the pita when I was trying to open it and the ingredients just kind of spilled out. It still satisfied my hunger though and I would probably have it again if I were in the area. read more

This is a fast-casual restaurant and not a full service. Nowhere has Yelp noted this, and that was part of my disappointment. To my disappointment, the black disposable utensils had a cheap appearance that detracted from the overall experience. I was hoping for higher quality service given the price point of the meal. And finally, very disappointed with Tabbouleh, which lacked the main ingredient, being cracked wheat; and when I asked the reason, I was told because to make it gluten-free. It's a rarity in this world to find a restaurant where a gluten-free vegan and someone who is afraid of food that is not burgers and fries can find something that they both enjoy. I came here with a very diverse party of six, and everyone walked out satisfied with their meal. It's an assembly line fast casual style place, but the food is excellent, the people are nice, and it's very clean and convenient. Unfortunately we really weren't as impressed with Shawarma Mediterranean grill as some of the other reviewers... As a Turk I don't really have high expectations from these types of restaurants in the US; I've experienced too many disappointments so I know not to expect much. But the food at this restaurant just wasn't for us. I got the lamb shawarma plate: the amount of lamb was actually very decent, but the meat itself was so incredibly dry. I had the spicy hummus as the side which just tasted like store bought hummus; the rice tasted quite bland as well. The little salad though was actually good and so were the cubed potatoes, all of which come as sides for the shawarma plate. My husband got the lamb kebabs - now those were definitely not as bad as the lamb shawarma. They cook them upon order so the meat itself is not dry and actually quite juicy. The taste was okay, nothing out of this world but not that bad either. He got baba ganoush as his side and again, it was just okay. If you enjoy the taste of the meat served here though, I definitely think this would be a great place to come to, because the portion sizes are very good! It was just not for us. read more
