As a Turk I don't really have high expectations from these types of restaurants in the US; I've experienced too many disappointments so I know not to expect much. But the food at this restaurant just wasn't for us. I got the lamb shawarma plate: the amount of lamb was actually very decent, but the meat itself was so incredibly dry. I had the spicy hummus as the side which just tasted like store bought hummus; the rice tasted quite bland as well. The little salad though was actually good and so were the cubed potatoes, all of which come as sides for the shawarma plate. My husband got the lamb kebabs - now those were definitely not as bad as the lamb shawarma. They cook them upon order so the meat itself is not dry and actually quite juicy. The taste was okay, nothing out of this world but not that bad either. He got baba ganoush as his side and again, it was just okay. If you enjoy the taste of the meat served here though, I definitely think this would be a great place to come to, because the portion sizes are very good! It was just not for us. read more

Everything is fresh! Ordered lamb shawarma which was excellent as not gamey and cooked perfect. The spicy humus was tasty and not overly salty. Our kids loved it as it was their first time so super kid friendly! My wife ordered the chicken kebab plate and they cooked the chicken perfect and the salad was extremely flavorful. The guys who run this place always have a smile on their face and take a lot of pride into make your quick serve meal look and taste great. It's set up like a Chipotle, but it's so much better. Whether you get a plate or a wrap, you really can't go wrong here. The ingredients are fresh with a lot of flavor, and you'll definitely be full for $10 or less. If you like hot sauce, make sure to ask for extra hot sauce on whatever you get. The guys are happy to oblige. If you're a regular, they'll recognize you. Even better, they have a buy 10 get 1 free card. This place is worst shawarma I've ever had. I even called them and asked before heading there way do you guys make Shwarma on slow rotisserie they said yes so we decided to go try it out. We get there same day and what do you know there is no slow rotisserie machine with meat being cooked. They cooked everything in morning ahead of time on grill or what not and claim it's Shwarma. This is not possible and not true. They have the machines but don't actually use it because they don't even know how. 0 stars please next time people call you and ask if this real Shwarma don't lie to them I came from really far away to try and wasted my time. read more

There's nothing negative I can say about this restaurant. The service was prompt and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is clean and casual and comfortable with music playing at an appropriate level. It's bright with great color. The layout is open and comfortable. The quality of the food is outstanding. Ingredients are authentic and extremely fresh and well matched. Honestly, this was surprisingly good to find in this location. The quantity of food was excellent and presentation was beautiful, see my pictures. We have a few great Mediterranean restaurants in Phoenix, this one rivals them. After eating at Kai, a rare five-diamond restaurant in Phoenix, I never thought I'd give another five star review. We visit shawarma often, and we never experience anything but great food and wonderful service. My favorite is the chicken plate, complete with garlic and hot sauce on top. Both the regular and spicy hummus are fabulous and the salad with toppings and dressing is the perfect compliment for some filling food otherwise. We always get a side of falafel- they are so perfectly airy and soft (not the dense stuff you get elsewhere) and are great with the tahini. We were in the neighborhood to run some errands. Since my Dad is hungry and Dinner is approaching to Shawarma Mediterranean Grill we went. This latest visit was on Saturday June 8th 2013. Time was about 18:10hrs ish. Right when we enter this establishment, I make sure, my parents and Hubs get the paper menu so they can decide on what they intend to eat. From what I could recall, that evening, their SPECIALS OF THE DAY were Trout and Lamb Curry. So here were the items we opt for : * Chicken Shawarma Plate ($8.29) each 2 orders hence ($16.58) * Lamb Curry ($10.99) * Lamb Shawarma Plate ($11.49) * Falafel (6 pieces) ($4.99) * Add Feta Cheese ($0.75) * Add Tabbouleh in 2 of the dishes @ $0.75 each hence ($1.50) * 4 LARGE Fountain Drink @ $1.89 each hence ($7.56) All main entrée comes with Pita Bread which are already wrapped in Aluminium foil. My Dad and Hubs each had the Chicken Shawarma Plate. My Mum had the Lamb Shawarma Plate while I opt for Lamb Curry. Hubs opt for the Chicken Shawarma Plate. For his order, he opt for Brown Rice, Spiced Potatoes, Spicy Hummus, Chicken Shawarma, Feta Cheese, and all the trimmings such as Pickled Onions, Shredded Cheese, Tomatoes and Pickles. Hubs is A-OK for his Dinner, though he feels the portion should be more and the pricing could be cheaper to the pockets. Furthermore, that evening, Hubs was slightly under the weather. Therefore his tastebud was a little off. For My Dad's order, he opt to have, Brown Rice, Spiced Potatoes, Spicy Hummus, Chicken Shawarma, Corn, Tabbouleh, a light drizzle of SPICY Sauce and Tahini Sauce. My Dad does not fancy the Tabbouleh as much coz he said it was too sour for his liking. For My Mum's order she opt to have, Brown Rice, Spiced Potatoes, Spicy Hummus, Lamb Shawarma, Lettuce, Corn, Red Onions, Tahini Sauce, Tomatoes and a light drizzle on the "Spicy Sauce". My Mum was A-OK for what she had. Both my parents raved about the Falafel they had. They like the Falafel THE BEST! Yes the Falafel came out hot, was crispy outside, soft inside, very flavorful and cook properly for my parents liking. As for my order of Lamb Curry, it was tenderly cooked and SPICY as I want to, coz I specifically ask for the "SPICY" sauce to be drizzled on top of my plate. That evening our server his name was Pierre. Just take note additional cost are reflected if you order Feta Cheese and Tabbouleh respectively. From my previous visits, I forgot about the "stamped-card" that Shawarma Mediterranean Grill had. So Note To Self, next time Bring the "stamped-card" so once all "8" stamped-tags, I had, my 9thh Lunch/Dinner is "FREE" aka "Free Sandwich" OR $5.00 OFF from ANY PLATE. Shawarma has been awesome during quarantine. We've been ordering it about every other week and it does not disappoint. Their online order is easy and pretty quick. When I ordered a few weeks ago, they forgot my falafel in my order, and I put please don't forget my falafel in my most recent order so they gave me two because I love them. I love when a company is willing to make things right even when it wasn't a big deal. I would highly recommend order from this restaurant and going when quarantine is done. First time and I got delivery. Yea! Love delivery. I wanted a smaller, meatless lunch and chose the stuffed grape leaves with a side of tahini sauce, the tabbouleh and pita bread with hummus. It was very fresh and very good. The tabbouleh is different. There is no wheat. It's more of a salad consisting of mostly parsley. I added a bit of lemon juice and feta cheese.
