This place is small and unassuming with 5 eat in tables with a view of Worcester city hall. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. I had the chicken shawarma platter and I was stuffed halfway through but I could not stop! Some pieces of the chicken were a little bit dry but combined with the hummus, Baba and salad it was all just stunning. The beef is delicious, and is my preference. We thought it was the perfect amount of food. The pickled vegetables with it was delicious and the pita was nice and chewy. I also got a side of grape leaves and they were delicious as well and am so looking forward to my baklava (was very full after my mixed sharwma sandwich that I couldn't fit it in my gut). The owner was telling me about the syrup and orange blossom water and even gave me a small sample to try when I was waiting for my order. I went in at 3:45, 15 minutes before closing. The owner was so kind and patient. They have the dining area spaced out for covid precautions and they wipe everything down before and after a customer is seated so that you felt comfortable eating inside. I ordered to go, and given that there were only 15 minutes left and people were still placing orders there was a small wait (nothing major) and he was so apologetic of the wait. I overheard the owner apologizing to a pick up order, where the young man stated "No, don't worry about it. This is always worth the wait" and so true were his words! My family and I went to Shawarma Palace before the WooSox game last night and left with happy hearts and satisfied bellies. Charlie was so kind to us and accommodating, even giving us a little pita and hummus to start followed by a sampling of the pistachio baklava. We all got the chicken shawarma except for one falafel shawarma and then a side of falafel. Everything was AMAZING!!! We absolutely loved our meals and our experience. I have been stalking this place for lunch for a few weeks now since I have discovered it. If you are a lamb person, Thursday is where it's at. The lamb plate is a flavor explosion and a generously delicious, fill your tummy and put a smile on your face portion of goodness. Make sure you have gum handy after this meal. The whipped garlic paste is literally off the hook, but it packs a punch that will scare people away for miles. Who cares, though, really, extra? Yes please. Falafel, on point. Kibbeh, equally as good. The shawarma combo is superb. The bread toasted just right, the amalgam of ingredients is at the proper ratio and every bite gives you an equal amount of succulent flavor and texture. If you have in Worcester, stop by. I can't say enough good things about this place! Food was Great! Charlie was great! I would go weekly, if I was close enough. Food was so tasty and the portions were unbelievable! I wish it was in my hometown. The baba ganoush was so good. Fresh and deep smokey flavor. Not too oily. Just a perfect mash up and the pita bread was perfect. Falafel wasn't the best I've ever had but still good. The Shawafel plate was a perfect meal. Only thing I would change is Later business hours. IMO, Don't open so early (9 am?) and stay open later. But hey, if that's the choice they are making, that's OK, I suppose. We were down the street drinking at Armsby Abbey and set an alarm to get to Shawarma Palace before it closed and we were so happy we did. We will be back. Highly recommend! read more

Such a great spot, fresh ingredients and awesome staff. The owner takes pride in the business and it shows. Ordered the beef Shawarma sandwich and added falafel to it as they were out of the chicken. Great experience!! The man behind the counter, who I assume might have been the owner, was incredibly pleasant. He let us sample the chicken and beef options before making our choices. We ordered a beef shawarma plate and a chicken shawarma plate. They were delicious and very filling. We received a "treat" - a free piece of baklava! The tables were wiped down with bleach wipes between customers and all employees were masked. Parking is very accessible right in front and not expensive. And he threw down this spicy garlicky sauce that I licked off the box it was so good. Very fairly priced this is your best option for veg-friendly/Mediterranean in downtown Worcester. Service when I went in was awfully slow however, the lady didn't know how to use the card machine and didn't know how to take orders; she put the orders for a line of five people on one slip.
