I've had a number of things on the menu, but my go to is the Mezze platter - the baba ghanoush is my favorite. Top tier Lebanese food. Better than any falafel I had in the 10+ years I lived in NY. Friendly owner will 100% chat you up - it's obviously his pleasure to serve you. Sandwiches, salads, & platters are all great. The fresh bread and pickled veggies really drive it home. It's a small space and gets pretty busy around lunch time, but if you call in your order you can be in and out in 10-15 mins. read more

I went to this place on a whim. I was looking for kibbeh and boy did I find the best kibbeh I have ever had. It wasn't the regular type. It was a special he had. I also had the chicken shawarma plate. The meat, hummus, salad, and garlic paste were all great! Friendly staff, authentic and delicious food. We had lamb shawarma (available on certain days of the week), falafel, and houmous. Our two sandwiches were pressed which was new to me but very tasty. My wife loved her lamb shawarma plate. The houmous was nicely presented. The baklava and nammoura were delicious. Wow, this place is awesome. You would never know because it is a small place that you would probably just walk by & not pay attention to. But STOP! WALK IN! When my friend & I left the convention center to get some real food, we stumbled upon it & so glad we did, holy geez, so damn good. This place is tiny, but adorable & you need to check it out, now. I have been eyeing this place every time we drive through Worcester and we finally stopped today. Arrived just before lunch rush and I loved watching the owner interact with the regulars. He knew everyone's order. The food was really spectacular and if you factor in price -- best possible experience. We had chicken schwarma plate, beef schwarma salad, chicken soup, grape leaves, baba Ganoush. The owner also slid some samples of falafel to us as well. The beef was so good I ordered an extra order for the road. The Baba ganoush was out of this world. This is my kind of place. Small, nothing fancy, real food, amazing service. So just to give you a little background, I grew up on middle eastern food. My mom makes it and I feel I can certainly tell good from bad. I will come straight out and say The Shawarma Palace is not only the best middle eastern restaurant I've ever eaten at, but of all the middle eastern restaurants I know, this is now the only one I'll go to. Worcester has a few middle eastern places and none of the are worth going to except for The Shawarma Palace. Others pale in comparison. The food here is fresh, tasty, and all natural. Everything is made from real food, nothing processed. The owner is there all the time making sure everything is prepared correctly. I had a grape leave salad and the kibbee plate. Loved it. This is now my go to place for middle eastern food. I wish I found it sooner. It's so rare to find a chef so dedicated to his craft that he'd never cut corners. That's this place. Try it. read more

There is only one problem with this place... they are not open 24/hrs per day 365 days per year. Other than that order everything off the menu at will and then order some more to take home and eat for the next three days. Thursday, is the lamb meat day ... one of my favorites. What else can I say? And I wouldn't be surprised if the 1 or 2 bad reviews that were left on yelp were merely haters or other restaurants losing business to this place. read more

I also shared some spinach and meat pies (these are the best around ) with a friend who lives in Boston and since then, she's traveled to Worcester just to eat at Shawarma. Wow I don't know where to start. Place probably makes not only the best wrap, but best sandwich I've had in my life, which is saying a lot. Tried the chicken shawafel wrap(with spicy sauce) first and fell in love. Has been my go to order for a while now. Brought a buddy in to try it and noticed the mixed chicken and beef one and it was just as good. I've been raving about this place to my family and friends for a while now. I don't even live in Worcester but almost always try to stop in here when in town. Will even make the half an hour trip from home just to introduce the place to someone else. Food is that good. The owner and his family are some of the warmest people I've met. Today I stopped by to pick up some takeout and realized I had left my credit card in the atm at a previous stop and was worried I had no way to pay. Was bummed cuz I wanted to bring a chicken shawafal wrap home for my father to try. Owner told me "no problem just pay next time" since he knows me pretty well by now. Wish all business owners cared about their loyal customers like that. If yelp would let me I'd give this place 10 out of 10 stars as you can probably see by now I'm pretty biased towards them.
