    Chicken Shawarma (Halal)

I ordered from Uber Eats, and everything was delicious! I got the Chicken Platter (Halal) with 6-Pc Falafel, Tzaziki Sauce, and Hummus with Bread! They really have the best food in town, because it is so tasty, fresh, and delicious! The meat and sauces with fresh veggies and rice are so yummy, I always enjoy their food!

The service was absolutely 10/10, I didn't know what to order and normally have a hard time choosing what I want. A sweet lady offered suggestions, later giving me a sample of the chicken which made my decision so much easier. Food is delicious! Very nice experience :)

....that secret sauce though.... On one of my monthly walk, talk and drops (flyers) I stopped in here on the good word of a friend in the know. He was right. This place is top notch! Malki, the owner, was working as usual and wearing many hats. She prepared the chicken shawarma as if she'd made it hundreds of times. It was quick and many others were right behind me waiting to put in. An order for the famous wrap. I like everything on it and extra spicy with the secret sauce. Pure deliciousness in every bite. Fast and friendly service and to top it all off, Malki is an awesome community member, participating in making the corridor a better place for the many local businesses. Only On Apache man! ...... Great spot tucked away near ASU. It's mostly buzzing with university kids good food , affordable prices and stays open until late in the night. I have just tried the chicken shawarma and the burgers the filling was great , especially with the red secret sauce. There is an extra 50 cents to get the sauce on the side. Toppings include lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and jalapeños. Overall a good find for those late night cravings. Cheers!

We ended up here accidentally after our two first choices were closed. Overall, a pretty decent experience. Read on... Atmosphere: Shawarma Paradise is in an older strip mall on the corner of Terrace Road and Lemon in an older part of Tempe. The strip mall looks a little sketchy. The atmosphere is very basic, the table tops are made from painted plywood, it's older and on a 10 point clean-scale, I would give it somewhere between a six and a seven. It's relatively comfortable. Service: The lady at the counter started off a bit quiet and shy, but seemed kind. We gave her lots of kudos and praise and that seemed to help her come out of her shell a little bit. She brought us our food with a smile, so that was nice. Overall, I would rate the counter service as an 8 1/2 out of 10. Food: The chicken Shawarma plate she made for us was enormous, which was great. The basmati rice under the chicken Shawarma was warm and steamy, the hummus was pretty decent although I've never had it with green olives in it, so that was a bit different. The pita was warm and large and soft. While the chicken Shawarma portion was gigantic, and it tasted pretty good, it wasn't the best I've had, a bit bland. The garlic sauce was delicious. They don't have a soda machine, so you'll be buying a bottle of something if you're thirsty. The chicken Shawarma plate was around $10 plus a drink, so pretty standard pricing. Overall I would rate Shawarma Paradise a 7 out of 10, making this a 3.5 star review. I would certainly go again and try something new if I were in the area and wasn't jonesing to try something new.

I thought this place was pretty good. I ordered The Falafel Sandwich and Mixed Platter. I enjoyed the sandwich it had great flavor. The platter wasn't my favorite but still pretty good. Next time I'd try one of the Kabobs.

I'd been here several times years ago, and after coming back, I'm honestly wondering why I don't eat here more often. I ordered the chicken shawarma, a stuffed grape leaves platter, and hot tea. Everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and wrapped with the classic toppings, and the portion was fair for the price. Speaking of price, the value here is honestly hard to beat. The stuffed grape leaves platter came with hummus, tabbouleh, pita, and hot stuffed grape leaves. I had completely forgotten they serve them warm, and my brain needed a minute to recalibrate because I'm so used to cold dolmas everywhere else. Once I took a bite, though... yep. That's how they're supposed to taste. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ended up adding some of the hummus and tabbouleh to my shawarma, which made an already great sandwich even better. The service was just as impressive as the food. My server was genuinely kind, gave me a few extra minutes when I couldn't decide, checked in without hovering, and even offered to package my hot tea to go when he noticed I was still working on it. (For the record, ordering an entire pot of tea for one person was an ambitious life choice on my part.) The dining room isn't huge, and there's also a small market attached, which adds to the charm. This place reminds me that consistency is underrated. Years later, I came back, and it was just as good as I remembered. Great food, great service, great value. I'll try not to wait so long before my next visit.

Got the food fast and the rose water lemonade was good. Mango juice tasted like Jumex and that's yummy to me lol Waitresses were nice and attentive. Bathrooms and the floors in the dining area need some TLC. Hopefully the kitchens kept up with. Waters we did not drink. They should probably clean up the walkway to the bathroom too there was just a bunch of stuff. They also have a store attached which was cool. We didn't look but still cool. Chicken shawarma was bomb!

This was my first time dining in, and I decided to bring my mom while she was visiting me. Overall, it turned into a wonderful experience, but it did start off on the wrong foot. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's right along the Scottsdale Canal, and the atmosphere is inviting from the moment you walk in. I especially loved the open kitchen concept. Watching the team prepare drinks and food while working together so seamlessly added to the experience. You can tell everyone works as a team because multiple employees helped deliver our food and picked up our empty plates instead of leaving everything to one server. Unfortunately, our first interaction with the hostess left us feeling uncomfortable. We arrived before the dining room opened at 11:00, and she invited us to sit and wait, which was perfectly fine. However, as other guests began arriving, I noticed she was asking everyone else for their names while adding them to the waitlist. She never asked for mine. Instead, after three parties were seated before us, I politely asked why we had been skipped. Her response was that she had "grabbed my description" instead of my name. That honestly didn't sit well with me. Being identified by my appearance instead of simply being asked for my name felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially when everyone else was asked for theirs. We were also initially placed at a table tucked into a corner by the entrance, where there was a lot of traffic coming in and out. After I spoke up, another hostess immediately apologized and happily moved us to a much more comfortable booth, which I appreciated. Thankfully, everything changed once our server, Gustavo, introduced himself. He completely turned the experience around. He welcomed us warmly and explained the menu in detail. When I mentioned I needed a moment to translate for my mom, he immediately smiled and switched to Spanish. Seeing my mom's face light up because she could comfortably ask questions and understand everything made our lunch even more special. His hospitality was genuine, thoughtful, and exactly what great service should be. The food absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered three bruschettas the mozzarella, avocado, and strawberry goat cheese and every single one was delicious. The artichoke dip was my favorite. For our entrée, we shared the salmon, and I loved that the kitchen plated it already divided for us without us even asking. It's a small detail, but one that showed attention to the guest experience. The surprise standout was the soup of the day and that was the lentil soup. It was honestly the best lentil soup either of us has had! My mom mentioned how good the coffee was three different times, so you know it was good! On the drinks side, I asked Gustavo for his recommendation, and he suggested the watermelon sangria. After trying one, I immediately ordered a second. That's how good it was! It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the best sangrias I've had. Even the little details stood out. The restaurant was spotless, the restrooms were well maintained, and the quality throughout the space reflected the care they put into the entire experience. Despite the frustrating start with the hostess, Olive and Ivy won us over because of the incredible food, outstanding service from Gustavo, and the beautiful atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back, and next time I'll be looking forward to the meal just as much as that watermelon sangria! "Gracias Gustavo"

(I'm sorry I did not catch her name!!). We split the cinnamon roll and egg sandwich and it was great! Probably some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had! The only reason I would give them a four out of five star review is because their Coke zero comes in a bottle rather than fountain, but definitely personal preference! I do wish they had misters everywhere outside instead of just one place along the water, but also you could sit inside as well. We will definitely be back to try other things.
