The procedure went ok, quite painful, but everything seemed to go as planned. Later that day and for the following week, I was in extreme pain - unable to walk. I called the doctors office three times to leave a message and see if there was something wrong as this was not normal. Each time, my messages were left unanswered - no doctor to respond to my inquiries. I ended up going to Urgent Care for assistance to address the excruitating pain. When I finally was able to speak to someone, it was the front desk who provided me some advise (same that was on my handout - she was not a medical professional, so I didn't have any help in that conversation). I provided the feedback to Dr. ElKhoury- Front desk staff unprofessional, no follow-up at a very vulnerable time in the process and unfortunate. I've since found other Pain Management doctors in OC that have been much better - but I wish, pain management was more than just spinal shots and more thorough review of options.

They were there for u at ur lowest.... I reached 7yrs of Sobriety because of Aegis. I wouldn't be a patient this long, if it was how these karen's are talking abt. Yes they have rules just like any Dr's office does & the ONLY rule is to COMMUNICATE if u can't show up. That's it!! Since 2018, I have regularly gotten dosed & counseling at this location. Every Nurse, Staff Member & Counselor has worked with me & understood when I couldn't be there, when I moved, when I relapsed, when i'm sick!!! They constantly remind me that they are here for Me & they are. Bc of Aegis, I have healthy habits & coping tools. I'm almost completely off MAT program. They have been there for me when I lost sobriety, careers, through accidents & the deepest & darkest Depressions. I can't believe how ungrateful some ppl are....I get medication, counseling, friendship, family, understanding & sm support at Aegis. When I had NO ONE...I had the care & support at Aegis. Out of 5 stars for overall, they receive 1 star for the counseling I've received. The front desk (aside from Ed) can be decent, but the one girl looks down upon patients. The doctors, hah. Dr. Radnya is an unhappy little man who takes it out on patients. He doesn't want you to be nice to him, he will be rude in return. He looks down at us as his side gig while he steps on us, and only pays attention to us when he can impose his will and made up rules (that NEVER WORK WITH THE ADDICT MIND!) that guarantee people will leave and go elsewhere, or relapse...sadly. This place used to be crowded, but people have either relapsed because of the way they are treated here, or found a better clinic (which I will do ASAP) and moved on; very smart of them. You do not threaten the addict mind. You do not treat addicts like they are always guilty. We need positive re-enforcement, and shown that we are doing good, and until we find reasons other than this methadone garbage to gain our reason and the will to be humans again. The counselors (the few I've had) do a decent job of being a voice to talk to every few weeks, or weekly, depending on your insurance. The doctors here have no idea of the people they are treating, and do not want to. I grew up with a doctor, and they are an ego off in their own God-Mind. So if you want to feel like you are still a guilty piece of garbage, and you feel the need to keep beating yourself up because the doctor goes back on his word and makes you believe you are wrong for following another doctor's advice, come on over to Aegis. 90%guarantee you will want to go elsewhere, and the other 10% probably do not want to get better, while most of us do.

Liz from First Step Counseling really assisted me in navigating these health insurance challenges and she was even willing to work out a payment plan that suited my needs (in the event that my new insurance was going to be too difficult to deal with). Liz also found a way to squeeze me into the schedule, despite all of the therapists being booked and at capacity. Liz went above and beyond to help me during a time when I really need it. First Step Counseling actually cares about the lives they are changing which is so rare in today's world where most companies just want your money. Kudos to this entire office for the great work they do.

Los Palos (now "White Point..." leaves much to be desired when it comes to accountability…read more I've resided there since August 2025 (when it was named, "Los Palos... with the goals of improving my breathing and acquired lung issues developed at Catered Manor Post-Acute Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bixby Knolls area of North Long Beach, CA) AND selecting an appropriate orthopedic surgeon to perform my now needed knee replacement surgery which became necessary as a result of inappropriate "physical therapy" while at Catered Manor in Long Beach last year, 2025) On or around late April-May of this year, I personally observed a long-time resident of White Point with numerous contusions on her face and head which made me wonder why she appeared as though someone had beaten her head. I found my impressions shocking, especially since her sister had been providing excellent family attention to this patient's/resident's personal needs. (It should be noted that much of my younger years were spent in university-based hospital and clinics Administration (8 months; 1976 to 1984), so I can grasp terminology and procedures in facilities of these types.) Several days later, I was told nonchalantly by another staff (Certified Nurse Assistant, CNA, that this resident had died! I was shocked at how this CNA was not disturbed by any of the facts. I sincerely hope that her family also legally pursued WHY the resident died. I've been kept out of of White Point and shuffled through a horrifically oftentimes incompetent system of convalescent homes and small, community-based, (after a one- day stay at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro) stay, May 15-16 for serious edema and labored breathing issues) hospitals since May 17, 2025. I now just want to get my personal possessions OUT of White Point with a strong desire never to return again. My rating of this facility now, on June 4, 2025, is two- to three stars, and no more.
