Update #2: She She Boutique worked with their vendor, gorjana, to replace my chain. It took about two weeks. Emilia, the general manager, emailed me when it arrived and said I could pick it up or they could ship it to me. I picked it up today and it looks gorgeous. I'm very happy with it. I also purchased a small jewelry box and some caramels when I was there today. I'll definitely be back to shop there some more. Update #1: I emailed customer service about the flawed chain, as the owner suggested, and they replied the same day. They offered to send me a label to ship it back or I could drop it off at the store. I chose to drop it off at the store today and the staff member I dealt with was very helpful and nice. They are going to contact the vendor for a replacement or repair and get back to me. Will update again when that happens. Original review: I was looking online for a 23" gold-plated chain necklace and found one at She She Boutique in Los Gatos. I was happy to see I could order the chain from their website and have it shipped to me, avoiding having to drive there. Easily placed my order online. It arrived three days later in cute pink packaging. Right away I noticed the chain had a flaw. It looked like several links were bunched up in one place and wouldn't straighten out. It was disappointing because the 23" length is hard to find, plus it was kind of pricey for costume jewelry. The She She website isn't showing any more of this particular chain, so I'm not sure I will be able to exchange it. I guess I'll stop by the boutique and see what happens. The sales clerks are always so helpful in guiding you to what's new in the store and their fantastic sales. Today they had a huge selection of Christmas items they were trying to move out the door with slashed sales prices. They have such a great selection of shoes, sweaters and handbags. I love they carry some of the designer brands in handbags and shoes. They have a nice selection of sizes and styles. It's a great place to grab a few wardrobe refresh items as they always have the current looks and style suggestions. I always leave happy and well taken care of by their associates. This has become my favorite local boutique since moving to Los Gatos. They have such fun gifts, jewelry, clothes and shoes that I haven't found anywhere else. Store looked so cute from the outside and had racks of sale dresses outside. Me and another customer (I didn't know) found items we liked and wanted to purchase. There was a woman with longer dark hair that said no. It was 5:50 and apparently they close at 6. Not sure why she would refuse 2 entirely separate sales but she just came off very rude and seemed like she just wanted to go home. Not a good look for the store. Won't be back. read more

I hesitated to write this review. My experience is from two years ago, and I had hoped it was an isolated incident. I was hoping to come here and see that others had not had similar experiences more recently. Unfortunately, that's clearly not the case. I'm Indian- you can probably tell that from my name. I'm in my early 30s, look Indian, and happen to be born and raised in the Bay Area. It's been a while since I've been made to feel this way, but every PoC knows what it feels like to not be welcome somewhere and to be treated differently from other (non-PoC) customers. You just know in your gut. I walked around the store trying to shake that feeling, convincing myself it was in my head anyways. I had been so excited to check the shop out after following them on Instagram throughout the pandemic. I'm sure the owner is as sweet as she seemed on Instagram, but she wasn't there that day- just the store associates. I watched as they greeted every other customer warmly, smiled at them, and even offered to take clothes to start fitting rooms. Meanwhile, they either quickly glanced my way or ignored me. Still, I tried to convince myself I was being overly sensitive. Eventually, I wanted to try a few dresses, so I approached one of the older associates to ask for a fitting room. I'm always super kind to service workers, smiling and polite in all my interactions- even when I have that nagging feeling. This time was no exception, but I was still met with none of the enthusiasm she had shown other customers. Instead, it felt like she was annoyed I was even speaking to her. She got me a fitting room, and I found a dress I loved but needed a smaller size. When I asked if they had one available, her response was blunt and short. Despite wanting to buy one of the other items, I opted not to because I felt so sad and disheartened by the experience and just wanted to go home. I'm fortunate that these experiences have been very rare for me in our wonderfully diverse Bay Area, but I think that's also why this one still pops into my head every few months and why it affected me so deeply. If someone treated me- an Indian woman with no accent and perfect English- this way, how much worse might they treat someone like my mom or another PoC with an accent or broken English? I unfollowed the shop on Instagram right after and haven't stepped foot in it since. I didn't write a review back then because I have a deep respect for small businesses and know the weight reviews hold for them. I figured I might have been an exception and not a rule. But seeing people as far back as four years ago and as recently as last year share similar experiences makes it clear that prioritizing DEIB hasn't been a focus. Thank you to the other reviewer who enlightened me about the updated acronym- the "B" is so important and something this store should take to heart. It bugs me that it says shoes in the name because it should be boutique (not at all related to my review). I had the best shopping trip! I've been shopping online and browsing in stores for months and haven't been able to find many things that caught my eye... I've also wanted to branch out from my usual style but that's hard... I really wanted to find some cute summery clothes and was feeling bold (I'm usually a "just looking" girl) and asked for help. Emilia (who helped me) was amazing. I literally said i was hoping to branch out in color and style and needed help. She pulled clothes for me I wouldn't have picked on my own and I loved them!! I also then asked for suggestions on accessories and shoes (I mostly live in leggings and work at home). I hate asking for help and you never know if you'll be pressured into buying something you don't like. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. If I could give a negative star, I would give them 5 negative stars. I went to She She Boutique to check it out because we were passing through Los Gatos. Everything looked nice, it had its own summer vibe. We were approached by a sales clerk and straight away was this FAKE attitude. It felt like we were being watched the whole time. Like Zero trust and Zero respect. Never in my entire life would I expect an employees to act like this. We were approached by a sales clerk. She was not nice at all it was like she was pretending to be nice.Terrible acting. I hated it. The entire interaction was like she was analyzing me. She must have thought I was a thief. Makes for a really uncomfortable shopping experience when all they're responsible for it seems is making sure people don't steal and collecting the dough. They also have snippy attitudes if asked general questions :-o so beware. As someone else mentioned, the store is small enough so they shouldn't need to follow you everywhere! They need DEIB training and should sensor tag their items if they're that concerned. That would help bring repeat customers. read more

Not only do they have the BEST shoes, the sales person who helped us was AMAZING with my daughter! We were trying to find graduation shoes, and my daughter started sobbing because nothing fit her feet. She was feeling so insecure, she said she didn't even want to go to graduation. The sales person was SO kind and sweet. She said, honey, we are going to bring out every shoe in your size until we find the perfect one for you! And when my daughter was still teary, she said, "You know, you are going to have so much fun with your friends at graduation, you won't even think about your shoes." With that, we found a pair, and indeed, she had a BLAST. I wish there was a way to add a review without a star coz they don't deserve it! I am a resident of Los Gatos and have shopped at this store many times in the past and have multiple times shopped corporate gifts from here for the holidays, but I was appalled by their behavior today! Me and my friend were in the store with our 6th grader daughters and 2 of their friends. One of the kids bought a beautiful sweater and another liked a sweatshirt but decided not to buy it and left it on the display table. As soon as we started walking out, one of the sales associates started running towards us, stopped our girls in downtown and asked them if they took a sweatshirt they didn't pay for coz she think it's been stolen! She repeatedly asked the same question to the girls inspite of them telling her clearly that they didn't know anything about the sweatshirt and none had anything in their hands!!! My friend and I were horrified by this behavior, the sales associate assumed that the girls stole the sweatshirt and had the audacity to falsely accuse them. When we started questioning the sales associate she mentioned things get stolen from their store and that she was JUST CHECKING if our girls took the sweatshirt!!! Our kids were traumatized and felt very insulted for being falsely accused of stealing. Inspite of us mothers being present with the kids, the sales associate had the audacity to approach our kids without taking our permission!!! We plan to address this with the business owner asap. Everyone working there is helpful and friendly with good customer service skills. She she has a lot of cute stuff! They just expanded so now they have even more stuff! They have some good finds. I do have some complaints. They watch you like a hawk. Someone is ALWAYS next to you or behind you. I wasn't even allowed to grab one thing off the rack to look at it before someone would be behind me asking me if I wanted to start a fitting room. When they start "your" fitting room, they just put your clothes on the rack next to the fitting room so you still end up waiting to even get into one of the two fitting rooms. They don't let you hold on to anything in your hands before they ask you if you want them to put it on the counter while you keep looking. At first, I thought they were just watching and following me because I brought me little girl in with me. But it was to everyone! I understand they don't want anything stolen, but give people some damn space! It's a small shop, it's easy to see what people are doing from a distance. I felt followed and watched the WHOLE time. Very annoying! Makes the shopping experience stressful, overwhelming and rushed! My daughter saw the lollipops at the counter top and wanted one, so I gave her one, (which I had EVERY intention to pay for the $5.00 that it cost) and as I was opening the lollipop one person walked up to me and was just watching me and the girl at the counter was watching me so I said "Don't worry, I'm going to pay for this when I'm done shopping." And the girls both couldn't grab the wrapper from me fast enough and said "we'll hold the wrapper here so we can add it to your stuff!" I have loved this store for a long time and bought some quality pieces for my wardrobe, handbags and shoes over the years. They have recently expanded which is nice, but the merchandise has totally changed. Everything is suddenly for the younger woman, a LOT younger. Most of the clothes are synthetics and inexpensive. Even the shoe selection has gone that way. I feel like this is a store now targeting the high schooler or college girl and everyone working there is that age too. I wish them well with this new direction, but I have aged out of Forever 21 styles, and having teens help me. I guess I need to shop elsewhere. By time I left the store I almost felt embarrassed to be shopping there at my age. I was here recently as a "tourist' and as a Newport Beach resident I absolutely loved this place. Although this is mainly a shoe store they had a cool selection of items from fun gifts to clothes and jewelry. They had Sam Edelman, Tory Burch and Kendra Scott as some of their designer items but much more. I was so excited to explore this store and I thought their price point was great. They had displayed everything in such a way that you could truly enjoy sauntering about and taking it all in. It is so beautifully displayed. I left with a few goodies but wanted more! Rinse. Recycle. Repeat. Some things really never do change. That's the story here with She She Shoes in Downtown Los Gatos. I feel overly qualified to make such a statement, as I had previously shopped in this store for many consecutive years since its early days. I stopped going 3 1/2 years ago, after a change in personnel, resulting in very poor business management. A firm believer in second chances, however, I decided to give this place another go after my lengthy hiatus. Before arriving in Los Gatos, I really thought that maybe (just maybe) the following had improved at She She: 1) That the customer service, which had taken a huge nose dive after undergoing new management (it actually went from mediocre to really like "dog doo") would be better, 2) That there would be a return to the higher quality brand offerings that had diminished under new management (what happened to carrying unique/quality shoes?), and 3) That the variety of merchandise being carried would have improved/changed (nope -- there are still just the same old Tory Burch totes, the same old Sam Edelman booties/shoes that are available elsewhere and at more affordable/better prices. Quite frankly, She She, Kendra Scott jewelry is basically always going to be the same). Silly me, trying to see the good in others. Thank goodness, once I had seen the bland and cheap looking quality items outside the store, I rapidly moved on (and, to my surprise) to better boutiques along N Santa Cruz. There are so many great other shopping options available in Los Gatos, all of whom carry more versatile, unique and of-the-moment styles. Seeing other reviews posted about She She, it's no wonder no one has posted anything positive about the store in such a long time. It was under better and more friendlier management 3 1/2 plus years ago! Get with it, She She! I'll give you all the reasons why I come here vs. Nordstrom's: - instead of the "everything" store, it's carefully curated selection includes the most delicate necklaces, rings and bracelets- it's so much easier to find something fabulous in 5 minutes. - their shoes are amazing, but their sale shoes are even better. 80-90% off sometimes. And because their buyer has insanely cute taste, the sale shoes are always winners. - this place is locally owned by one of the sweetest neighborhood families, and they support Los Gatos and our town culture. - I love being able to walk here (rather than the forever drive to Stevens Creek) after a particularly hard day with my kids and buy myself a pretty dress (that I DESERVE) and walk back home in 20 minutes flat. Best store in Los Gatos! I have lived in Los Gatos my whole life. Since She She opened in 2009ish, it has been my go-to for shoes and now clothing, jewelry, and gifts! There really is something for everyone at She She Shoes. - the name is misleading by the way. They have so much more than just shoes!!!! They carry amazing brands that are universally loved like Steve Madden and Sam Edelman, higher end brands like Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff, and harder to find brands like Cupcakes and Cashmere and Anna Beck. I no longer have any need to go to the mall - and I can support a local business! The staff is always so friendly and willing to help. I have known the owner personally for a while and you can tell this business is her pride and joy. Talk about a personal shopping experience. Ridiculously strict about their return policy even if the item was a gift, was still in the box, and unworn and they still have it in stock. I just got it a few days ago, but because the gift receipt date shows more than 10 days ago I am stuck with something I do not like. I just wanted to exchange the gift I received for a different pair that actually cost a little more than what my gift was worth. I totally get return policies, but when it is something that was a gift, unworn, in the box, and still in stock you would think they'd would try to help you out.
