At 5:30 on a Saturday night this was a very busy place. The bar was full. We sat at a table and asked for the football game to be turned on. They happily complied. Excellent value and tasty food with really friendly service is what's to be expected here. The waitress said so much of their menu is made from scratch. This place is...bright! Painted off-white inside and out, interior lighting suitable for a bingo hall. You won't be squinting to see the menu. Basic selection of bar food. Burgers, sandwiches, a Saturday prime rib special. I ordered the bleu cheese/bacon burger and it was fine. Not especially good ground beef, but not bad, and the bacon was abundant. No more and no less bleu cheese than needed. I was waited on quickly and efficiently if not enthusiastically. Maybe the most impressive thing about my meal was the price--burger/large craft beer/tip for just over $20. We eat here weekly. The food is so good! My husband loves the French onion soup. I love Mexican food day on Tuesdays, as well as the chicken tenders, rodeo burger, cheese curds, French fries, fried pickles, and their grilled chicken salad! Also the specials are often amazing too. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place can get loud and sometimes the fellow dinners are drinking more than eating and start acting obnoxious. read more

It's a small town Michigan bar and grill. Think of it as eating at your aunt's house. The ladies are nice but a little rough around the edges. You have your old regulars that look you up and down to see if they know you from town. Check the specials board for what's up for the day and grab a seat. The space is well lit and doesn't feel like an old bar, which we appreciated on a bright Saturday afternoon. The menu was interesting. The Shea'nae'nae is hilarious but wasn't going to attempt that monster. See the pic for the description. I have a bowl and clam chowder with an appetizer selection of Rueben balls (or something like that) mushrooms and dry fried ribs. Soup was good - full of clams and tasty. Large portion too. The ribs were as expected and hit the spot. The mushrooms and fried balls, we won't get again. Too much cream cheese than expected but if you like that sort, then go for it. We were in town to restore power after the ice storm working around Pittsford and went here for lunch. The food was freaking fantastic. I had the club sandwich and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's probably the best I've ever had. Another guy got the pulled pork smothered fries and there was enough for two guys. Everyone loved their food and the waiter was great. It was neat and clean inside. I highly recommend this place. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. It's nice to find a quality place like this in a tiny town when working on the road. EDIT: My whole crew ate here 6 days. The only reason we didn't eat here 7 days is because they were closed on Monday. The Reuben was amazing, Cobb salad was huge, filet perfectly done, fish sandwich outstanding. We were disappointed to leave the area because the food was so good but we got everyone's power turned on and it was time to go. I hope y'all's power goes out again soon so we can eat there! Went last night and the food was not good. The cheese curds were over cooked and very salty. My fried fish had tons of bones in it and tasted very bland. The waitress talked to the cook about the bones and his reply was it can't be helped. Won't be ordering that again! My husband said his ribeye and french onion soup was very good. Some hits and some major misses! Salad was obviously premade and then plastic wrapped up, it was all smashed and not fresh at all. Its confirmed later by seeing them make the salad at the table by us. More on that later... we got the prime rib, not bad but have had much better. The smashed bourbon sweet potatoes was a hit! Really good. My wife got the cheese soup for her side and she like too. Cole slaw is also good... but back to the salad, one of the waiters is making the salads, bare hands, grabbing the lettuce out of a bin, and placing on the plates, then bare handed grabs the cucumber and tomatoes and place on the plate. Followed by the plastic wrap then all the plates stacked on each other and placed in the fridge... while wiping her hands on her pants in between various stages of the salad making. Our waitress, Carrie was good but the lack of sanitary practice in making the salad is enough for us never to come again. read more

I was disappointed with this restaurant. I was originally going to order the chicken tortellini, but the waitress told me that they were out. I settled for a gyro with a side salad. When the side salad came, it was a thin layer of iceberg lettuce with a few vegetables on top. My brother and Grandpa ordered the beer cheese soup, which had good flavor but was lukewarm. We had to ask the waitress to heat up both bowls in the microwave. There was nothing wrong with our entrées, but they weren't spectacular. This is my go to restaurant when I come to Hudson Michigan from Cincinnati. Wednesday and Saturday are prime rib nights but they have a special every night. The sirloin steak is always great. You got to try the beer cheese soup and bourbon mashed sweet potatoes they're really good and flavorful. The salad is just the right size and very fresh and crisp. The service is excellent and get Mindy if available she always has a smile on her face and very professional and pleasant. Never had a bad meal or service. read more

Without question the biggest loaded Bloody Mary's around. You gotta see it. Order the loaded if you are ordering food. Order the fully loaded and you get a full meal. Open on Sunday am at 10:30 and a great place to stop during a bike ride. The 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy is a bargain and tasted great.
