What wasn't amazing was the steak. Dry-aged doesn't mean the steak in the back of the cooler that got dried out. It was so tough it was hard to cut and unable to chew. The waitress just kept saying oh no and it took her a minute of watching me hit the steak with my fork and it not giving at all. At medium rare, it was ridiculously hard with the ends dried out. It was cooked perfectly but dry aging breaks down muscle fibers and removes moisture for a nutty funky flavor. This one was a miss. There was nothing tender about it. She replaced it was chicken Marsala. I already had my sides so it was just a chicken breast on a big plate with a mushroom gravy. They forget the cream. The chicken was cheap chicken breast that has that funky texture like it's raw but it is clearly fully cooked. Chicken was flavorless. Sauce was good but could have been better with some cream. In laws we're treating us so I didn't send this one back too. They love this place and wanted to bring us here. We went early on a Saturday about 5pm. It was getting very busy as we left. Update to my previous review…read more The answer to the "sort of" question that I posted in my January review was that they had WAY too many employees for the business level, which was evident during my visit that day. And apparently, they fixed that situation...by going overboard in the opposite direction. This afternoon (10/27/24), I wanted a Diet Coke. I was in the drive-through line between 10 and 12 minutes. And when I got to the window(s) to pay and then to pick up my drink, while the people were very friendly, they were moving soooooooooooo ssssslllllllllooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! McDonald's is generally very similar--and this is by design from the original days of the chain. Make the restaurant identical to all others--no surprises for the customer. In reality, I have only found differences in offering certain promotional items, pricing, and the water that runs through the pop machines and gets mixed with the syrups. The restaurant has little control over that aspect. However, a car should go through the drive-through from order to order pickup in 7 or 8 minutes. If longer, "park 'em." Now, someone will say: "But that upsets the customer." And if they have a large order with 4 or 5 changes to the standard menu items in that order, "park 'em." They are not going to quit coming to McDonalds. NOTE: I feel sorry for the kids working behind the drive-up window. But life sometimes has its ups and downs.
