I'm not one to write reviews especially bad ones, or on a salon i have been going to for years but i know when im getting my hair done i want my hair to be right, i want a nice and friendly stylist and a salon right? well not here. Backstory my mom and i used to come here maybe 5 years go, it was around 2020-2021 when we started coming here, everyone was super nice and friendly, we both loved this salon and we hated that we were moving away, well after about 2 and a half years we come back and let's just say this place changed... My mom has always had short hair and i used to as well but that was until back in 2021 when i decided i wanted to grow my hair out and donate it to a child in need, so when i go in every 3 months i don't get a lot off but my mom loves her hair short, i mean it's texas of course you want short hair with this weather, so she went in maybe every month or every 2 months, but everyone was always so mean and rude to my mother, she's the type to wear no makeup and wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt because she loves to be comfortable and i agree with her, even i started to wear the same clothes as her but when i find out my stylist is saying my mothers hair feels like Barbie doll hair and a horrible texture, that's when you will lose my money and time. My mom has had a problem with her hair ever since we moved away from texas, she has even asked this stylist if she could help her and her hair, but in return her stylist tells another person who just gave my mother a compliment on her hair, that my mothers hair feels like Barbie doll hair, i'm sorry what?! that's rude. And i'm overprotective of my mother so of course i had something to say but didn't wanna cause a problem in the salon, so we moved hair stylists and went with Melissa, and when i say melissa was amazing to my mom and help her with her hair i mean it, and melissa was honest with my mom and said that the other girls talk about my mom in a horrible way. After we found out melissa left we stopped going there. please save your time and money and most importantly your hair and don't go here. This salon was amazing back in 2020-2022 but now it's horrible. I have way more bad experiences with this salon that i would share but i felt as if this would be enough. My mom now cuts my hair and soon i will be cutting her hair and helping her with her hair needs.

I called Roni for a consultation about getting new highlights and a cut because I'm growing out a…read moreperm. Only a few inches of it left. Instead of asking me to come in and see her face to face, she asked me for pictures of my hair. She then told me I needed a color correction because my hair was yellow and my roots were dark. I told her that was the lighting in my bathroom messing with the color. My hair is in no way yellow. She told me to go to Salon Chartreuse because my hair needed to be fixed and she couldn't do it. So I did. And guess what? My hair is not in need of color correction at all. Just new highlights and a cut. Since she never saw me face to face, she never really got to see my hair. Instead she pretty much told me that she didn't want to risk her reputation on me. Whatever. Won't be calling her again. All I wanted was a cut and highlights. Instead I got the brush off.

Roni is just wonderful. This is my second time seeing her (first time at her new location next to…read moreBlack Sheep Bistro) and I will continue using her for my hair stylist as long as I can! Her space is so nicely decorated and intimate, which was a plus during COVID. She keeps things very clean, with hand sanitizer and things close by for her clients. Not only does Roni give a great hair cut, she is very personable and easy to talk to. The whole appointment just feels easy and relaxing. My hair looks so much better and I am thrilled!
