Apparently they had used an un-sharp razor on her. When we got home the groomer had shaved her tail so close on the underside it was sore and bleeding from one end to the other. Her cut was blotchy all over which in the two years we used their service. The owner had told us on many cases how the like to cut our Poodles. because they were so good on the table. We called several times to reach the owner, sent e-mails with pictures, and never got a return call from the owner, even though her staff said she would be calling back after we had left multiple messages. In the e-mail we advised that we were unhappy and to please not cash our check until we came to some type if agreement. Guess what! The check was cashed and we never got a call from the owner. Sad part about it we were very happy with their service for two years...we live in Canton and drove almost 90 minutes each time we brought our two girls to the groomer. Please keep an eye on your fur babies and if they start coughing or have diarrhea, take them to the vet to get them checked! I picked up my 3 dogs yesterday and 2 of them have KENNEL COUGH!!! To say I'm upset is an understatement. I was in contact with the lady that runs the facility. She told me yesterday morning that my dog, Togo had a one short 2 cough spell but that it wasn't hindering him. I became concerned at that point. I know I am not a vet BUT I am a groomer and I have worked at a vets office before, so I do know some things. I picked the dogs up and the coughing got worse! Well to top things off my dog, Spirit started coughing. The owner wanted me to keep her informed, so I did let her know that Spirit started coughing. Then to top that off, I had to groom ALL 3 of my dogs when I got home. Now I know they are going to stink or be dirty when staying at a boarding facility BUT when my dog, Monty had dried dog poop all over his belly, that is unacceptable! They were absolutely filthy and smelled so bad! When this was mentioned to the owner (I have the messages,) all she had to say was, I'm sure that is from when Spirit had loose stool in the run. Um.....did you not clean the run? And why would not rinse off my dog? I'm not asking for a full blown bath but you could at least rinse him off! I also would like for y'all to know that even though I was notified about the one short 2 cough spell, when I picked up, my dogs where still in the same run. They had not be quarantined from other dogs in the same area as they were. I sure hope those who had dogs staying there were notified that their dogs had been exposed to not one but two dogs with kennel cough, as this is HIGHLY contagious. I even said that to the owner. I have all the messages. I want to also say that she seems to be so nonchalant about it. She has not even offered to pay for the vet bill and still charged me for boarding. Well with the timeline the way that is of when the coughing started, one of two things happened: 1. There was already a dog there with kennel cough and they failed to quarantine, notify incoming boarders and failed to properly clean/sanitize. 2. There HAD been a dog there with kennel cough and they failed to properly clean/sanitize. Either way my dogs are now very sick and refuse to eat and drink water and they did catch this virus at the boarding facility! Please DO NOT EVER USE THIS BOARDING FACILITY. I will be making sure to ask any future boarding facilities for their general cleaning procedures, to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. **Anyone is more than welcome to contact me and I am more than happy to send videos, pictures, etc.**

I received no reminder call yesterday or voicemail. Headed out this morning and was 5 minutes away from the salon and got a phone call because they were looking for me. The lady on the phone, who was very matter-of-fact, told me they were expecting me at 9, which was not the time I was given when I made the initial appt. She continued to say it wasn't "her call" it was the groomer's and she was sorry for the miscommunication, but that I needed to reschedule. I asked her to please let me bring them since I was so close to their salon and was told "no". So I had to turn around with two very anxious dogs and go back home. We would have been 10 minutes early for the appt times they gave us, but instead we were sent on our way with no care at all from the groomer or salon. We will NEVER go back there!! To let a customer walk away because of a mistake the salon made was a very poor decision on their part.

Comforting in our time of despair…read more We all get intertwined with our pets to the point of them not being pets anymore. There is a loyalty and love that only an animal can fulfill. That being said, when our cat of 17 years had a major health issue, we knew it was time to end her suffering. We had only recently moved into this area, so we were referred by a family member not long ago. Thank goodness for the referral because otherwise we would've just picked something from Google or Yelp. Well, the Foothills location for Wayside isn't on Yelp for some reason, so here we are. The major health issue happened over the weekend, and the closest 24 hour emergency vet's office is about 30 miles away. We were able to comfort our cat enough to where we could wait until Monday morning. It was rough, but we made it in to the office first thing and Doctor Neff and Josh were very comforting given the circumstances. They both were very forward and honest about what would happen, and gave us the option to stay or wait outside. We chose to stay and be near our cat, which is rough but honest and blunt. To say that the folks in this office were comforting is an understatement. Anyone that has been through losing a loved pet understands that you don't want hoops or hurdles at this point. You just want there to be no more suffering or pain. Both Doctor Neff and Josh were exceedingly helpful and quick. They cannot be thanked enough. We will be back with our other pets under hopefully much better circumstances in the future.

My first two visits were ok, but after the third appointment, I was very disappointed. When I got…read moremy Yorkie home, I found a large patch of missing hair on his back with dried blood in the area. My husband called the next day to let them know. Instead of acknowledging that the injury may have occurred during grooming, we were told it was likely already there or that it could have been a skin bump. Our dog had just recently received a clean bill of health from his veterinarian. The owner did offer a refund, but we declined. We weren't looking for money--we wanted honesty and accountability. Accidents can happen, but they should be disclosed. Had they simply informed us when we picked him up and apologized, we would have respected their professionalism. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency is why they lost us as customers. I recommend thoroughly checking your pet before leaving the salon and taking photos before drop-off for your own records.
