I am new to the area and needed a reliable and reasonably priced hair salon. I have had some poor cuts and have gotten wary, but this place was local, well reviewed, and rated as well priced, so I asked for an appointment. Amazingly, she was able to get me in the same day, though I think it was a squeeze. I couple days would have been likely a shoo-in. I very much appreciated it, as that was the day I had the car. The set up is simple and clean, what I remember is the music. It was chill, easy on the ears, very relaxing but not Muzak. I want to get a playlist of similar music for myself! I showed her pictures of previous cuts and explained my preferences as best I could. She understood and did a great job, giving me exactly what I wanted. The price was very reasonable for my cut. Trim and layer for $43 is well worth it. Something to know, it seems they don't take cards. Be prepared with cash, Venmo, or Zelle. I am sure that helps keep the prices down. I already have a reminder on my calendar to set an appointment for my next trim... and this time I will plan in advance. read more

Local salon found of search online for nearest to me. One color for solid fill since I had been doing myself for semi permanent but solid color had lasted few months. I'm hoping this will last hold color for a longer time. Wash after wash and dry overtime dull of color. Salon only takes cash or Vemo. No receipts provided for any form of cash payment. Stylist spoke English, and was attentive to my request. Quick service no need of appointment which was great. Possibly will try again if future needs of touch up. Convenient location. read more

Your appointment time goes for a toss. Took an appointment at 3:30pm. When arrived at 3:20pm, asked to come back at 3:35pm. When went at 3:35pm, asked to come back in 30mins or reschedule. I understand things happen but when you are running late on appointments, you should have minimum courtesy to call and keep us updated about the delay. Came in for my little boy's haircut. She did a good job but it was not what I told her to do. So it was not what I wanted. Now have to wait more than a month to grow it back and then look for a new stylist! If you are looking for a quick haircut, then this is your place. This is a great place. I was one of the first customers after they have reopened. I got a great haircut better than some pricier saloons that I have used before. The lady who cut my hair was very nice. And the price was a lot leas than I sued to pay for an average haircut. Best color service and the best price... most people charge $$$ because a large chunk of it goes to the furniture you sit in, the pretty receptionist ladies and the expensive rent the salon owes. Get the same thing, for the real price you should pay. I've been having my hair highlighted and complemented on for 15 years! Lori is super awesome. Always recommended for highlights and color. Call ahead of time because she is super busy. Plan ahead and everything and everyone is happy. You could chance it and walk in...she will try and accomodate. I have been looking for a new stylist and Lori is now it! My best friend gets her nails done at the place next door and told me there was a hair cut place there, too so I decided to call last week. I called on a Monday and they were closed. I have been needing a hair cut for a few months and finally decided to look for a place and Shear Impressions is practically in my backyard. I called tonight on a whim hoping to get something for tomorrow morning before an afternoon party. Well, she was booked and leaving out of town until the 26th. I decided to see if she had any space tonight and she said to come in at 7. I did, not knowing that she was staying late to accommodate people. For that I give 5 stars alone. My hair has slowly grown out to shoulder length and I was prepared to cut it all off. I had a Google image all ready to show her so she could get an idea of what I wanted. She was very receptive to cutting a good 6 inches off my hair. She washed my hair and massaged my head and that felt so nice and relaxing after a long day and week at work. Lori really took the time to make sure my cut was what I wanted. I have been to other places where the stylist was hesitant to make such a drastic cut but Lori wasn't. I also love that she was very friendly and approachable. I HATE sitting in a chair for 45 minutes in uncomfortable silence. I will definitely be coming back here to have Lori cut my hair again and I recommend it to anyone who wants a very competent and friendly stylist who gives a great haircut. As for the price, $35 for shampoo and cut. Tiny bit expensive for me but SO worth it! read more
