If you need a Brazilian blowout then Srey is your girl!! The salon is in an older building next to Valle Luna but easy to find. I called and left a VM to make an appointment and Srey called me back after to schedule. Srey was super personable and friendly and above all is amazing at what she does. She gave me a trim and the silkiest smooth frizz free hair!! I was sooo happy with how my hair turned out. She gave me tips on how to keep my hair looking healthy. She is very accommodating to my schedule, but this place is usually busy (that's a good thing) so it's best to call and schedule in advance! Srey does great cuts for my thin fine hair, they way she cuts it I now have what looks like thick hair with body, which I haven't had in a long time. She does great color highlights as well and comes out great each time she's done my highlights. Definitely recommend. read more

This salon is RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. After purchasing a Groupon deal, I tried calling to make my appointment. I left multiple voicemails and never got a call back. I tried calling multiple times a week, and was never able to speak to anyone on the phone. I received an unprofessional text message (with bad grammar and spelling) asking about when I would like to make an appointment. I texted back quickly with my time and date, and got no response. I texted the number again 2 days later and still never got a response. The next week, after leaving ANOTHER voicemail in which I told my number two times to have a call back, I received a very rude text message accusing me of never responding to the initial text. I texted back my frustration and even sent a screenshot of my phones conversation; and again never received a call back. I can honestly say this is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever had to deal with, and I only hope they consider their customer service and professionalism. I have nothing to say about their hair services because I was NEVER able to ever make my appointment. read more

It had been about a year and a half since I had last had my haircut or any color service so I desperately needed some help. I purchased a "deal" for Shear Vanity for a haircut, shampoo, color, blowdry and style. I called immidiately to make an appointment and Srey got me in later that afternoon. She was super busy but fit me in and told me she would call if she had any earlier cancellations. They ended up having an earlier cancellation but I didn't get the call in time. Srey stayed late on a Saturday to squeeze me in and I am so happy she did! My hair looks so great! I ended up cutting off a ton of hair and donated it to locks of love. She did wonderful highlights and lowlights and a super fun and easy to style cut! She was very meticulous when cutting my hair to make sure it was just right. My roots were bad. Like, OMG I cant believe I've been leaving the house looking like this type of bad. I decided I needed to do something about it ASAP but I hadn't found MY salon here in the valley yet. So, I decided to peruse one of those daily deal sites for their "get it now" deals and needless to say, I was nervous. Going to a new stylist without the recommendation of a close friend or family member is akin to going to the dentist for a root canal. You're paying an arm and a leg for something that you need but who knows if it will turn out right? Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. Shear Vanity was admittedly not my first choice due to location but, as they say, everything happens for a reason. I called three other places and they were booked (why is you deal still up then?) and rude. When the owner of Shear Vanity answered she didn't hesitate to sweetly tell me to come on in and even let me know that my stylist would be Monique. The salon was a bit of a drive for me but they didn't even mention I was later than I said I would be when I walked in. Monique was a no nonsense get down to business type of gal. I told her what I wanted and how I thought that would be achieved. She understood the effect I was going for but suggested highlights and lowlights instead. She matched the shades perfectly and I was thrilled with the results. She took her time to make sure everything turned out just right and she even wrote down everything she did on a card to reference the next time I come in. My cut is fab and the color is gorgeous and they gave me a smokin' first timer deal. I can't wait to go back again! read more

I had a wonderful experience with Sray at Shear Vanity. I requested an appointment last minute and she was willing to come in extra early in the morning to fit me in. I had a full highlight done with a trim. The location was easy to find and the salon is clean and comfortable. She listened to my request for color and cut and she completed the process quickly with perfection! The color is just right and she didn't overdo the trim! I've been to so many other salons that don't listen to my color wants and when it comes to a trim, they take too much off. Disaster from the beginning! The place looks very sketchy, and the salon was otherwise entirely empty. Walked in and they had the wrong service scheduled, so had not booked enough time. The very stand-offish woman, Srey, had no idea how to do color/highlights, didn't know the difference between full and partial highlights, told me she was going to have to charge me more (despite the fact that she never had discussed the price in the first place), and was very rude throughout the entire discussion. It was obvious she didn't want to have the appointment and was doing everything she could to get out of work. I had NO confidence in her ability to do anything to my hair at that point, so I left without even getting it cut. Oh, and the guy that everyone seems to rave about in the reviews, Patrick, was sitting there watching the whole thing, and never stepped in. I came to see Srey for a cut, color and highlights. She did an amazing job with my hair, I am so pleased with my experience. I had an absolutely horrible experience at another salon earlier in the year and they butchered my hair, I told her how nervous I was and what I wanted done. She walked me through everything she was about to do before she did it, and asked me if I wanted her to do some face framing (because I told her before I sat down I did not want the front of my hair touched).
