We stumbled upon this gem while waiting for a reservation elsewhere and it exceeded all of our expectations! The winemaker Arnulfo was very welcoming, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the wines and learning about their small batch process.. but the star of the show was most definitely the olive tapenade!! Highly recommend Shedeh for anyone who wants to get away from the big wineries and experience something more intimate.

Amazing wine and food. Oswaldo made us feel so welcomed, we came back multiple times during our trip to try his recommendations.

This tasting room/restaurant is located on the historical site where the Russians built the barns and buildings and have been preserved at its original state. we had a semi private tasting by one of the nice ladies who worked there. we sat in the outside bistro rather than at the indoor bar because the weather was nice and we got to sit and chat without too much disturbance. all the wine was good, we tasted everything from whites, reds as well as rose. tasting was 100 pesos per person. be advised that its tucked away inside a lot and the only sign you might notice while driving by will have the words "Mediterranean food" on it. they do serve food here (hence the bistro) but we didnt get the chance to eat here since we were hitting up a spanish party afterwards.

Great lunch spot, tuna melt was great, salad la grange was delicious. I recommend this place to have a quick lunch between wineries!

I did not. The grounds are stunning. You're on an active working orchard with views in every direction, and dropped right in the middle of it is the most enormous oak tree I have ever seen. That tree, you guys. It's MASSIVE. Ancient. The whole property is built around it, and drinking wine in its shade was straight up surreal. There were dogs wandering around. Families on picnic blankets. A live band playing under the tree. People dancing on their own. It's magical. The wine was freaking delicious. The charcuterie was good. The service was good. Nothing stood out either way on the service, but with everything else going on, I genuinely didn't pay attention. This isn't a quiet, learn-about-your-tannins kind of tasting. It's a hangout, and it's the kind of afternoon you'll be talking about long after you go home. A must on any Valle trip. Pro tip: come hungry, come ready to hang out, and come ready to feel like you're in a fairy tale, because that tree. Just sayin'!

We bought 1 white, and 2 reds to bring back to CA with us. We can't wait to share this with our families! Unfortunately we went through the San Ysidro border crossing back to Southern CA and found out that the max limit is 1 liter of alcohol (about 1 to 2 standard bottles) ever 31 days. We bought bottles of wine from 2 other wineries as well. Fortunately, US Customs and Border Protection let us go with a warning and did not confiscate our wines!

My friends and I weren't too sure of how the process would be since they picked us up after we walked across the border. We booked our rides through WhatsApp and the communication was super easy. They were super responsive, and the day before our designated rides, they shared the driver's number for us to connect directly. Our driver down to Valle was named Elias and made the whole process so simple! He picked us right outside of where we came out after crossing the border. He was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were comfortable for the drive. He told us a little bit about Valle and how he's lived there for 25 years. On my way back, I had a different driver, who was Natalie. She was super nice and the ride back was so quick, probably because it was the morning and traffic wasn't too bad in Tijuana yet. She was helpful in directing me to find the line to cross the border. Without the direction from her, I would have definitely been confused. They made this whole process so seamless! They were on time and available for all the questions I had leading up to the rides as well. I will for sure use them in the future any time I'm traveling somewhere driving distance in Mexico!

They even suggested and helped us get a fast pass for border crossing that saved us 3 hours in crossing the border. Great team and service.

I was thrilled to see an email on Saturday saying we were welcome for the 2nd tasting of the day and then filled with panic as I saw when it was sent, didn't have service and that time was quickly approaching. Thankfully i got wifi, replied that we would love to be there, got a reply saying we were good to go and off we went. I will thank our luck a large amount on the weather as many people cancelled due to pouring rain and flooded roads. The roads are rough, especially in the rain so a larger vehicle or a tour driver would definitely be beneficial but we made it happen. Upon arrival we were greeted with hugs, conversation, drinks and blankets and it honestly felt like we just showed up to the home of a family member. With the weather, it ended up just being the two of us and another couple who drove out for the day and previously was married at the vineyard which made for the most intimate afternoon tasting. My fiancé (oh that's still weird to say haha) is not really a wine drinker and I don't usually drinks reds but we both loved all 3 years of the tasting and the tapas that come with each were so delicious. One of the pairings was a taco with meat that I don't eat so I gave it to him and was more than thankful when Hilda noticed and asked her team to make a potato taco for me to take part. With the impeccable vibes, Carlos decided this was the right time and place and completely unbeknownst to me he had let James and Hilda know about his plan and they assisted in the greatest intimate proposal I could have ever dreamed of, rain and chilly temperatures and all. After our tasting we all spoke around the table like we had known each other for years and it really was the most special day and experience I could have ever asked for. We will definitely be back sooner than later, especially since we both fell in love with not only the humans on site but vineyard good boy Corcho. Thank you both for your hospitality, I honestly can't express it enough.

Monte Xanic walked us through every pour like a warm hug. Bruma is too cool and too artsy for any of that. Both are good! Just know what you're walking into. Bruma makes a really damn good glass of wine, and they make you go underground for it. The tasting is in a dark, quiet cellar that turns out to be the perfect place to actually pay attention to what's in your glass. And what's in there has personality. Real personality. The winery itself is moody and artistic in the very best way, built around a 300-year-old oak tree (which, fine, show off). Then you step outside and the grounds are STUNNING. So stunning that we wandered for an hour and decided to stay for dinner. Separate review coming. Four stars and not five because of the service during the tasting. Nobody was rude, everyone was perfectly nice, but they were also barely there. For a tasting, where the whole point is to learn what you're drinking, that's a miss. Worth the trip. Just bring a friend who knows wine, in case nobody else volunteers.

The professionalism and charisma of the lady who took care of us was exceptional and we cannot commend how great of an experience it was from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. Because it was the day after Christmas and off-season, it wasn't busy in general for most of the wineries, so coming here was quite the treat because we nearly had the entire terrace to ourselves for the majority of our time there. The pairings consisted of mostly white ones with one of the white wines tasting like a red wine (close your eyes). She did an amazing job of explaining the stories and context behind each wine and the owner and his impressions of everything. We also got a charcuterie board that had probably some of the most fresh and tastiest cheese I've ever had. The two different breads with the olive oil really hit the spot. I was so amazed from this place giving its more rural location and that it is hidden. Please note that we paid a decent amount here. I think after the wine tastings for the both of us and the charcuterie board plus the purchasing of 3 or 4 bottles, the total was about $150 USD. Worth every penny! I'd definitely recommend this spot to others
