Best time ever .. You guys are so skilled and professional. We had such a great experience. We felt safe, learned a lot and had fun doing it. Can't wait to invite 2 friends. Sheepdog and all your staff are awesome.!

In January I took the Women's Intro to Firearms with Sheepdog Firearms Training. They offer women's firearm classes, Co-Ed and other firearms training courses. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a basic understanding of firearms, learn safety and/ or even considering owning a firearm. The class was safe, thorough and professional. Luis and his team are highly trained and knowledgeable. Not only do they show you what to do, they also are right there with you when you are doing it. I like that the classes are small enough for individual help and instruction. We fired training guns, 9MM, riffles and a shotgun. I'll definitely be signing up for another class.

The training here is awesome. Very informative and fun. Luis, and Andrew are great instructors. Can't wait to sign up for the next class

I had fun taking this training course. I learned a lot of the fundamentals on how to handle a hand gun safely. I felt very comfortable at the end of class. Met some great woman that felt empowered at the end of the course. The instructors were great at teaching us and were open to any questions. I highly recommend anyone to take this class. Thank you Sheepdog!!

Just attended my second women's only class with my daughter and we're both ready for more. If your a woman who's considered owning a gun but don't know where to start and/or feel too intimated by the male dominated classes this is your class! Started with the introduction to firearms last month which helped us get rid of our fear of firearms and today we took Women's personal protection class which just solidified our desire to own a gun for personal protection. Both classes taught us about gun safety and each built our confidence about the use of one. If you're hesitating DON'T. The trainers are very patient and friendly and don't bully you into learning techniques but individually show you when your technics are off. Initially my daughter didn't want to take the class for fear of shooting a gun and now she wants to own one. Mom is not going to be around to protect her so teaching her how to protect herself.

Staff is professional, helpful and friendly. Instructors give easy to follow prompts, they guide you on what needs to be changed or errors you are doing. Most importantly safety has been top priority specially handling guns. Definitely recommend and suggest to everyone who wants to have more experience in gun handling, or gain confidence and be comfortable when it comes to firearms.

Highly recommend Sheepdog Women's Intro and Intermediate courses. Intro course provides the basics of gun handling & gun safety. It seems so intimidating at first and yet comfortable because all the other women in class feel nervous in the same way. The instructors are super patient and kind. We practiced handgun and rifle and even got to try a shotgun. Guns and amo were included. Home invasion and defense scenarios are discussed. Intermediate women's course had us review basics and then learn new skills which all build on each other. The pace of class if good and instructors make sure you can do the skills before moving on. We got to shoot a lot more than Intro course and got to bring in our own gun for practice. This was invaluable because I practically got 1:1 instruction on handling and problem solving my new gun. If you have always wanted to learn and feel more comfortable around guns, you should check out their courses. Super fun with family or a group of girlfriends. My sister-in-law and I had the best time and can't wait to go again.

GREAT CLASS! I found Sheepdog through a Facebook add. The booking process is easy and payment as well. I also received text message reminders, which I found very helpful! The class instructor, Luis is awesome! He's informative and if this is your first time handling a firearm, he makes you feel comfortable and guides you all the way. His two assistants were also a huge help! Definitely going to continue my firearm education through them!!

Definitely the best place if you want to get trained for home defense, everyone is just so helpful and patient and very knowledgeable. They have the best set up so you feel safe ALL THE TIME...they have different classes you can take, some specifically for women . Im on my second class and already looking into booking my 3rd. I most definitly feel like I'm more aware and smarter and even stronger... thank you guys and girl... looking forward to seeing you in the next class...

I had an amazing experience. The class was very informative and educational. The instructor and his assistants very well catered to the different levels of knowledge on the ground. Everyone was very friendly and the class throughout had a positive and fun ambiance. I would recommend this class for anyone that wants to learn about fire arms. Take a refresher and or perhaps explore further. I'm definitely coming back

During the online purchase process, Sako suggested a few FFL's, and Guns LA was one of them. I said yep, although I had never been here, and away we go. A few weeks later, I received an email notice that the rifle had arrived at Guns LA, and I drove over to go through the transfer drill. They buzzed me right in, I was greeted by a couple of the guys, and they handled everything right away. Typical easy California transfer: pages of paperwork, produce CDL, provide DNA sample, raise your right hand and swear you are not a communist or a Klingon, take a polygraph...the usual drill. Because they have a highly Yelp rated gunsmith, I handed them the Leopold scope and mounting rings I had purchased and asked them to mount it (yeah...as if I could have mounted it). No problemo. Ten long days later, I returned (and yes, the DROS paperwork stamps the exact minute from the ten days you started the process and you are damn RIGHT I was there at the exact minute to accept my rifle). They gave me a break on the price of mounting the scope since I did the transfer paperwork there, which was generous and unexpected. Everything was perfect. Although I live in Pasadena, and there are closer gun shops, I would absolutely go to these guys again. Thumbs up and thank you!

Recently, I noticed some parts were coming loose and was concerned about safety. I reached out to a few shops, and while the first place was willing to help, I felt like they were more focused on trying to sell me something rather than genuinely helping with my issue. Thankfully, I found Guns LA right around the corner. After seeing their great reviews on Yelp and Google, I decided to stop by and I'm so glad I did. Deon helped me from the start and was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He never made me feel uncomfortable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Not only did he inspect and fix my firearm, but he also spent time teaching me how to properly use my Holosun sight and gave me helpful tips to improve my shooting. He even shared a flyer for private training lessons, which I really appreciated. Best of all, there was zero pressure to buy anything. He genuinely cared about helping me, not making a sale. When I returned to pick up my handgun, Deon and Mike explained that the previous dealer had actually left out some important parts, something they couldn't believe. Luckily, Guns LA has a certified gunsmith on staff (apparently one of the only ones within a 20-mile radius), and they took great care of everything. I'm extremely grateful to have found this place. They've earned my trust and my business. I'll definitely be coming back for future purchases, and they're now the only shop I'll trust with my handguns and AR-15. Highly recommend Guns LA if you're looking for honest, professional, and knowledgeable service! Big thank you to Deon

Their instruction revealed gaps in my knowledge that previous classes never addressed, to the point where I seriously questioned whether I was truly worthy of the responsibility of carrying. What sets Seven 4 Para apart is the depth of their expertise, real-world experience, and unwavering professionalism. They took me to an entirely new level in safety, technique, and situational awareness. My initial CCW class two years ago felt like a rubber stamp by comparison--no real challenge, no deep accountability. If you're serious about elevating your gun ownership, self-defense skills, and overall responsibility, this class is exceptional. The volume of essential information packed into 16 hours is intensive but absolutely necessary. Eloy and Alec go above and beyond to ensure every student truly understands the concepts--they won't sign off until they're confident you're safe, capable, and respectful of the responsibility. No shortcuts, no rubber stamps here. Huge thanks to the entire Seven 4 Para team for investing the time to advance my knowledge, sharpen my respect for carrying, and improve my decision-making under pressure. This training was worth far more than the cost--it's an investment in safety and peace of mind.

I try to support small local businesses whenever I can, especially ones in my own neighborhood. In early January I stopped into Addax Tactical while I was out riding my e-bike with my dog. The staff were friendly, they were cool about my dog being there, and they even let me bring my bike inside. My first impression was positive. A little later I went back to order a rifle. I wanted a Henry Big Boy .357 Lever Action Rifle. They didn't have it in stock, and I was told it would take about two to three weeks to arrive because the SHOT Show convention was coming up. While doing the paperwork, I also decided to purchase a Ruger 10/22 so I could complete both purchases with a single background check. I left a deposit of about $1,200 toward roughly $2,000 total for the two rifles. Both rifles are very standard models that most gun stores typically have available or can obtain quickly. I could have easily purchased them elsewhere, but I made a deliberate choice to support a smaller shop in my neighborhood and was willing to wait the extra couple of weeks. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the rifles to arrive by late January and to have them in my possession by mid-February after the required 10-day waiting period. That didn't happen. After three weeks I called to check on the order. Nothing had arrived yet. I waited another week and called again. Still nothing. The responses were always very casual, with little explanation other than that the rifles had been ordered. Around six weeks into the process, I was told the Ruger had arrived but they hadn't called because they assumed I wanted to pick up both rifles at the same time. I went in immediately and started the paperwork to take possession of the Ruger. During that visit I learned something that had never been mentioned before: the Henry rifle had not actually shipped yet, and the shop generally places firearm orders in batches rather than ordering individual rifles. This was the first time I had heard that, even though the original estimate had been two to three weeks. At that point I agreed to upgrade to the octagonal-barrel version of the Henry since I had always wanted that model anyway, and I was told the change would not affect the delivery timeline. After the 10-day waiting period I picked up the Ruger and again asked about the Henry. The answer was still that it had not arrived yet. By this point we were about eight weeks into the process, with no clear timeline. About a week later I called again and received the same answer. At that point I decided to cancel the Henry order and request a refund. I was told the refund would come from accounting and that I should expect a check in two to three weeks. After two weeks I called again and was told it could take up to 30 days. I eventually went to the shop in person to check on the refund. This time I was told I could not bring my bike or dog inside, even though I had been there several times before with both and it had never been an issue. Eventually I received a call saying the refund check had arrived. For the sake of transparency, I'm writing this from memory without the receipts directly in front of me, so the dollar amounts may be off by a few dollars either way, but the numbers below are very close to what was paid and refunded. When I picked up the check, the amount returned was about $370 out of the roughly $1,200 deposit I had paid. That means that after roughly 12 weeks, the final outcome of this transaction is that I effectively ended up with a $830 Ruger 10/22 -- a rifle that typically sells for a few hundred dollars at most gun shops. Even assuming some type of restocking fee, it's difficult to understand how that result makes sense, particularly for a rifle that, according to the shop, had not even shipped yet when I cancelled the order. I went into this purchase specifically because I wanted to support a small neighborhood business like Addax Tactical and was willing to wait longer than usual to do so. Unfortunately, after the delays, the lack of clear communication about how orders were handled, and the final refund outcome, the entire experience ended up being extremely frustrating. If you're considering ordering a firearm here, my advice would simply be to make sure you clearly understand the ordering process, timeline expectations, and refund policies before leaving a deposit. Posting this simply to document my experience so other customers know what to expect when placing a special order here.
