Came here on a Sunday and the line was extremely long. We expected a bit of a wait since it was the weekend, but what made the experience frustrating was the lack of communication. Apparently, members are allowed to skip to the front of the line -- but no one tells you that when you check in. The receptionist simply directs everyone to stand in line without explaining the membership priority. Watching people walk straight to the front while you've been waiting a long time is pretty frustrating, especially when that policy isn't clearly communicated upfront. This place really needs better organization and customer service. Clear communication would make a huge difference. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

I've been coming to this place for years and years, and after the last couple of times, I don't think I'm going to come back. This place used to be pretty good years ago, but they have gone downhill significantly in a lot of ways including safety, and it's a bummer to see considering it's in a great location, the prices for a lane and rentals are really very good compared to other indoor ranges in the region, and having the Ammo store attached is very convenient when buying in bulk. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and they have a pretty fair selection of rental guns, although some of the ones I used were VERY dirty. I can excuse dirty rental guns at a busy place like this because detailing them after every use would be a major pain, but some of these pistols were downright grimey and seemed like they haven't even gotten a wipe-down after their last use. Some also seem to have some issues with returning to battery or issues with feed or ejection failures, although this has only happened a couple of specific times with specific pistols and seem to be isolated events. Again,likely to have happened because they were super busy and just didn't get the chance to properly clean out the rentals as well as they needed to be. Some pistols are just finicky like that when they're not super duper clean or running wet. With all that said, why only two stars? To start, the range itself is filthy. The place has brass and other trash absolutely everywhere, and is never cleaned up, ether by the customers themselves or by staff. Some of the lanes had so much trash piled up in front of them that the hot brass caught some of the trash and a fire started. Since there was no Range Safety Officer in the lanes everyone just stood there and let the fire burn. After another patron finally extinguished the fire, the staff didn't really do anything about it. No cleanup or safety checks or anything. They just let the smoke settle a little bit and told everybody over the intercom they can get back on the line and continue shooting. Speaking of RSOs, I rarely see one on the lanes when I go and shoot which is another big red flag; and if there is one there, you don't even notice when they're present because they're not very visible or easy to distinguish from regular patrons. Due to the lack of presence by the RSOs, I've seen people flag other people or handle their guns off the line and in unsafe way or in ways that are against the rules. It happens constantly and while I know it can be difficult for staff to pick it out every little infraction and do something about it, the lack of staff within the range itself really doesn't help. And again, if they are there, they really need to be able to be more easily identified and do a bit more to make their presence known. They don't have any tables and chairs on the back line of the range and there's no counters or anything, so there's nowhere to put your gear while you shoot or for patrons to get set up or do any kind of prep or repair unless you leave the range and go into the lobby, and you'll be lucky to find a broom for your brass (or one that isn't broken somehow) or a trash can that isn't overflowing. Lastly, there's an awful issue I've experienced recently with safety and parking. Don't ever park in the ammo-store side of the range if you are going to be shooting past the ammo shop's closing time. If you shoot past the closing time and are at the range and you're parked on the store-side of the building, there is no way to get back to your car safely if you have your own equipment. They won't allow you through the building and you're forced to walk out of the building onto the street with all of your gear, guns, and ammo. On Manchester. In Inglewood. You might as well hang a sign on yourself listing with you have on you and asking to get robbed. I will admit that part of this is on me for thinking I would be able to go back through a closed store and not keeping track of the store's closing time, and maybe I missed a sign somewhere, but I feel they need to make it a bit more clear that if you park over there, you won't be able to get back there after a certain time if you were at the range. They need a fix for this before someone gets held up or killed. Overall, if you're in the area, aren't bringing anything with you except a friend, and don't mind the occasional wait time during busy hours (you might be waiting more than an hour for a lane in some instances; not the businesses fault, the place just gets busy with the lack of good ranges on the area), this place is for you. For more experienced shooters or folks looking to work on their firearms who are looking for a nice clean place to shoot, better to just bite the bullet (no pun intended) and make the trip out to any of the OC ranges. read more

I've been here twice and they're very beginner friendly. If it's your first time shooting a gun, they'll train you on how to use it with a practice bullet. Safety is their #1 priority and they tell you to have the door closed before opening the other door to minimize gun noises. They also have protective gear such as glasses, noise cancellation headphones and earplugs. read more

First review of 2025! First shooter today too, put the first one down range! Only brought the EDC pistol; SIG P365 AXG Legion. Add Romeo-X enclosed compact red dot. Super convenient for West Los Angeles shooters. Not to mention they have a comprehensive ammunition retail store - fully stocked with range ammo plinkers to high-end self defense rounds or long range, high velocity hunting rounds. Most ranges "nearby" require a lot of drive time or are super expensive requiring memberships. Range fee here is twenty bucks ($20). Gun rentals available but I've never done that so not sure about quality or models, pistol or rifle. I always see a lot of folks renting so seems like it's popular! Check it out, enjoy! Lastly, I like the staff, all the guys are polite and work you through what can be long lines on weekends, and they always make newbies feel comfortable. read more

Another fantastic match took place yesterday at The LAX Firing Range, with a turnout even larger than Round #1 last month. The doors opened promptly a few minutes before 7 AM, and by 7:30 AM, we were off and running. A total of 6 relays were completed before opening to the public at 10:30 AM. My performance was a bit mixed across the five divisions I competed in, but I was able to achieve a perfect score (500) with 35X in Unlimited. Here are my scores: - MOS: 493 36X - Unlimited: 500 35X - Stock: 485 34X - Rimfire: 486 37X - Pocket: 241 16X The final match, Round #3, will be held on Saturday (04/19). My friends and I were first-time visitors and we did make a couple of procedural mistakes. We understand that safety rules are strict. What made the experience bad was the attitude of one staff member. Instead of calmly explaining the issue, he was impatient, threatening, and unnecessarily hostile. When the manager later spoke to us, the explanation was much more professional and respectful, which made it clear the problem was not just "store policy," but how that employee chose to treat us. Because of that, I would not feel comfortable returning. read more

Straight forward place to go a let off a few rounds. Also completed my ccw qualification here. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Get you in the lane and keep everybody as safe as possible. Wish you could do holster draw or rapid fire but I guess they're trying to keep everything as safe as possible. Will continue to come here when I need to get my fix. read more

LAX Range is consistently out of range when it comes to customer experience. You can show up during their posted normal hours and still get turned away. If your actual cutoff is 8:30 PM, then say that. Advertising that you close at 10 PM while cutting people off an hour and a half earlier is honestly wild. Sundays are even worse, the lines are ridiculously long, and there's a cutoff, so good luck if you don't arrive super early. It's frustrating because they know people are eager to shoot and want to spend money there, yet the operation feels completely mismanaged. To make it even more inconvenient, despite being "open," they won't allow ammo purchases close to closing time either. What's the point of staying open if customers can't actually use the range? Overall, it's a huge waste of time. Poor communication, arbitrary cutoffs, and zero flexibility. You're honestly better off going elsewhere. read more

I've been here a few times & I appreciate their willingness to educate customers about gun safety, basic etiquette, and their vigilance about these policies. Yesterday I was there when two individuals came in as a group -- they disobeyed and broke the rules (they were sharing a lane). The employees quickly pulled them out and told them they couldn't shoot anymore. Everyone else continued to have a good time & No one was hurt. For those complaining about parking, it's not that deep. Street parking isn't bad and is usually a quick 1 minute walk. If you want to avoid the line get there early! read more

First time here on a friday night, you fill out the waiver and are allowed to go inside. Once inside they have a great selection of glocks and some rifles for rent. Jose took really good care of us, he explained to us how the gun range works and the different type of firearms they had. He explained to us the rules for inside the range efficiently for us to understand. There was no wait time to shoot a glock so we were able to go in within the moment we arrived. We had already been informed that you can not shoot consistent rounds; you have to wait a couple of seconds to shoot. Josh, the other gun attendant, kept repeating over the speakers. That to me made me feel safe because it made me realize that even though both attendants were busy in the lobby, they were also aware inside the range. Overall this place is great! The first guy at the ammo desk was nice and he answered our questions. He acted like he cared about his job. When we went to the firing range the guy that showed us how to handle the gun was really nice. However, when we went back to the ammo desk there was another worker and he was really rude. He barely answered our questions and when we put in our address he kept saying "you failed" because we accidentally put another address. He didn't clearly explain what was going on. He was more focused on giving us a rude tone and attitude and telling us that we failed. Don't go here ever. read more

Don't go here. Must have interacted with a certain gun range employee on a bad day. He kept making snide remarks to my wife and myself as we were checking in. Despite driving 30 minutes to shoot here, we decided to leave. Should say something in this economy with gas prices as they are that it was more worth it to chug a gallon or two for nothing than deal with their rude behavior. This was my first time shooting since moving to CA years ago. While most of the people that worked here were nice and helpful, there was one man who was incredibly rude and sexist towards me. He didn't believe that I knew anything about guns or safety and was explaining everything to me as if I were a child. He also told me I need to be careful because "short women tend to aim too high and shoot wrong." Excuse me? Now my height is an issue? Before I even got started at my lane, there was an issue with the electronic system to move the target away from me. I went and told him and he immediately started blaming me saying I must have shot at it and broke it and now I owe hundreds of dollars to fix it. I didn't even shoot yet and he was going crazy on me. While I did get this awesome sweatshirt from here, I will most definitely not be returning. read more

Not a good range for experienced shooters who use a belt setup. The range is fine albeit small and the crew is cool. However, drawing and shooting from the holster is prohibited which was a bummer. The initial start was a total bummer, there is no but minimal parking in the front, and if you park there you'll take a chance on getting blocked in, so I chose to park in the back lot and was the 4th one there around 10am, no one was parked in the front at this time. Once the rear doors opened, we went inside and someone came out and said the people who parked in the front will go first, I along with other side that is not right because we were here and first in line, I told the gentleman where are your signs posted, We I got inside the same guy wanted to help me, and I said I will wait for someone else, 20 minutes later I was inside with the help of this nice young man, he changed the 2nd chance service for me. Once you're inside this place is pretty cool, but the parking to shoot is bad. Keep this in mind when going. I will give the gentleman who helped me 5 stars, and the other 0 stars because of the level of service from the opening of Business and parking status with no signs. read more
