I cannot provide half points, so I will write here - 2.5 points. This website indicates they are not open until 1130am on Wednesdays. Today is Wednesday, and I got there are 1123am, walked up to the door since there are tables outside. The [Open] sign was not lit up, but the front door indicates they open at 11am. (One point off for confusing data). I walked in and made an order looking for the "Beef/Lamb" shawarma, and they do not sell it on their menu apparently, as much as their menu on Yelp indicates. So, I ordered the "Lamb/Beef" gyro sandwich and I was not really all that impressed. The meat was tender, and beautifully sliced, but this is simply not what I was salivating for. The cashier was not even in attendance when I ordered, and the kind and professional cook (walked out from the kitchen to greet me) and indicated that the cashier was not in yet, nor replying to cell calls. The cook could not even take my order, so I used the self-managed ordering system to place my order. (Another point off for tardy/non-present cashier; plus 0.5 points for professional cook!) I was really looking for a delicious savory Lamb shawarma; lamb/beef would be OK, but pure lamb with garlic/cucumber/dill and yoghurt would have been delectable! read more

New restaurant that recently opened in Chantilly. Nice clean open space and friendly staff. Asked for recommendations and was told the customer favorites so far have been the chicken kabob and salmon kabob. Thought I would try the fish since it is unusual and not offered at Cava or Mezze grill. Their sauces are a bit different- a creamy white one and a spicy green one (similar to the Peruvian one). Got the chickpeas and fries as my sides. My friend got the avocado hummus with warm pita chips which were delicious. Hopefully the quality of food and service remain the same. Wow loved this place! I actually don't like halal but this was delightful! I had the chicken kabob and it was tasty and juicy (not dry!). Really enjoyed the cooked spinach, was surprisingly delicious! It comes with the two usual sauces ! They give you a good amount, enough for two! One dish was pretty filing. The best was the interior! Really loved the homey vibes they give and it's beautiful on a sunny day! The place was really clean too which I appreciated. They also have a pretty amazing reward system. For starters, I love the signage outside. It's very chic. The place is also easy to locate. I can tell they went to great lengths to decorate and modernize the place. I saw their location in Mosaic and I thought what a dainty quaint spot. I come to Chantilly and it's pretty large and brings a nice ambience tang to it. The lamb and beef gyro is always so good, it never fails. The chicken, it's alright, I never ate a lot of chicken or chicken at all growing up, but recently it's starting to grow on me. The chick peas have a little kick to them, the french fries are like crinkle fries=amazing! The portions are freaking huge for what you pay, it's not just like a slab of pasta and tomato sauce, it's seasoned and roasted so the edges of the chicken and lamb were crispy but juicy. My son and I had a very nice meal at this place. He went for the Beef Kubideh and I went for the Chicken Kubideh ... that's right Chicken Kubideh ... which I have never had before so it was a must to try. I decided to order it in a wrap (thin flat bread) ... and was quite pleased. The meat was very tender and flavorful! My order included the option for 2 sides. I selected the fries and chopped salad. The fries were fine, but the salad had this over the top freshness to it. I think is was the dressing ... which seemed like a simple oil base, but had some other ingredients (maybe minced parsley) to really bring it alive. They also cubed all the vegetables which made it easy to eat. And this entire meal was very filling. They do not skimp on the sides. In hind site, I think I could have shared. Sheesh! It's been such a long time that I've been thoroughly surprised (in a good way) with one of these fast-casual establishments. The last time I was so pleasantly surprised was the first time I had Chipotle (and we know how that turned out; very well in fact, until the e.coli hit). Admittedly I was a bit downcast on this place - I mean, what more could they do that other kabob places in town could not? For one, their portions were relatively large (for $11) and slightly cheaper than most other kabob places (which can range from $13 all the way to $16-17 for one kabob platter!!). Secondly, they give you a few different types of sauces (awesome!) to try - a green spicy sauce, a red sweet sauce, and a white tzatziki sauce. I also love their simplified menu (when compared to other kabob places, you can somewhat get overwhelmed). For me, being a gyro kind of guy, I was immediately drawn to the Beef+Lamb Gyro meal, but after being kindly prodded by the employee towards the Beef Kubideh, I of course obliged. Who am I to question the people who work there? What could I possibly know that they do not? Nothing, which is precisely why you should generally heed the advice of the employees, at least on your first trip to any establishment. So Beef Kubideh - well seasoned, juicy and moist on the inside, what more could you ask for? This was a "NO RAGRATS" move on my part, and I urge you to do the same. Kubideh might sound foreign to you, but from here on out the only words you should utter at Sheesh are, "Beef Kubideh please" or "Chicken Kubideh please." Now I still needed to satisfy my gyro (pronounced yee-ro, please; don't say jI-roe) kick, so I indulged and ordered an extra appetizer (which was really too much food), the "Sheesh Loaded Fries." The amount of gyro meat they put on this sucker was amazing, but I suppose it was $8, which is close to a gyro sandwich at most other places. In any case, the loaded fries were nicely balanced with the pickled vegetables which balanced out some of the heavier sauces and savory gyro. For two or three people this is a nice appetizer to share and kick around while you wait upon your main meal. Lastly, the salmon kabob. My S.O. opted for the salmon to mix things up. While the salmon was good, it was slightly overcooked in my opinion, and I wish it was a little less "done." The inside was a tad too dry for my liking, but I know for some others that would have been perfect. This is no fault of their own, but perhaps people could ask for a slightly "rarer" salmon kabob. On the sides, my favorites were the sauteed spinach (similar to the spinach you can get at peruvian chicken places), and the chickpeas. The grilled veggies were just that, grilled veggies. A decent option if you want to go super healthy. All in all, this is a good value proposition. A lot of food for not a lot of money, which makes for a solid lunch take-out meal if you are close by. Would definitely consider coming for dinner as well, as you can up the ante with the appetizers and/or hummus (which we did not try). TL;DR: Great place to pick up your lunch take-out, or even grab dinner. Prices are very reasonable, and the Kubideh meats are solid - juicy on the inside, well flavored, and not too chewy. read more

Nice little place, a bit hard to find at first cuz there are so many stores around. I come in around 4:30, wasn't too busy. The food coming out within 5-10 mins. I got the salmon kabob with grill veggie and spinach. Feta dip and chip and the salted caramel cookie. Pretty happy with how the food come out. Salmon was nicely cook, crispy enough outside but not dry and well season. What get give 5/5 for the food is that the rice was not dry and bland, unlike a lot of Mediterranean food place. Everything was well seasoning, not too much but not too little. Tip, they gave you a lot of dip, mix some with the rice for extra flavor. The chip is freshly bake cuz it was burning hot when I try it, very crunchy. The feta dip is a bit thicker than I expect. Still good though. Better food quality than I expect. I attended a yelp check-in event and got my meal comped. I'm glad this event took place because the food was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The beef and lamb gyro was generous, the basmati rice on which it sit was perfection. The chickpeas (with curry?) was seasoned just right. Yay! I got to the resto and their interior is so relaxing to the eyes. It's perfect for hangout with group of friends or even dates. The space is also good for hosting events. I ordered takeout their beef kubideh, basmati white rice, grilled veggies & fries... the serving is good for two people. Me and my hubby shared and it's quite satisfying our hunger. My favorite part of the dish is their cilantro dip!!! Waaaaaahhhh. Everything is just terrificly good when you add that on (cilantro lover here). Meat is flavorful and combine it with rice is and that dip it's like fireworks in your mouth! Yums! Their chip&dip too is nicely done. The chips are not your typical potato chip (check photo) and the hummus the avocado&parsley is yums...of course ill still dip it in the cilantro cause why not! Beware of this scam manager and cashier. They steal tips and charge on your credit card without you authorizing it. Then they blame you for making an error. They did this to me more than 3-times. I already reported them to Fairfax county Compliance and hopefully they will learn their lesson. Off course the food is good but because of their scam, it is 0-star. Wow! So happy I finally tried this place. Got delivery and it took about 40 mins or so on a Sunday eve. The food wasn't hot when it arrived but it was sooooo delicious and perfectly cooked. Falafels are light and flaky, yogurt dip is rich and flavorful. The meats were amazing. Gyro was so tender and i love that they put sauce on it for you. The chicken kubideh was a little spicy and super soft and well cooked. The spinach was amazing and so were the chick peas. The portions were so big which is great to last a few days! I'm a regular here and always get their beef kubideh. I've raved about this place to friends and family and have left 5 stars before but I was so disappointed tonight. I was taking my first bite of the beef kubideh and I felt a weird texture so I spit it out- only to find that what I was chewing was a piece of PLASTIC wrap! Can't believe I nearly swallowed that! Ever since this opened in our neighborhood we wanted to check this place out. We finally made our way to this place on a Saturday after kids' soccer games. It had just opened for the day at that point. We ordered a falafel meal, chicken kubbideh meal and two kids meals with chicken kabobs. During ordering, I realized that they only have a soy version of chocolate milk. I brought it to the manager's (Esan) attention and he apologized and made up for it by offering us a couple of other drinks at no charge. Esan checked with us later and offered us additional sauces. When I told Isam that I would really like to taste their hummus, he brought a bowl of hummus at no charge. Everything that we tried tasted amazing. Chicken Kubbideh that my wife ordered was out of this world. It was succulent and juicy and full of flavor. It almost melted in my mouth. I am ordering that for myself as well next time when we are there. I am really looking forward to being there again very soon. read more
