The place is huge with plenty of outdoor seating! They were busy when we arrived close to 5:45 pm last Friday. We did get a table right away but for some reason our server didn't come until I went to the hostess to let her know we've been waiting for more than 10 minutes! She finally came with service waters and since we've already browsed the menu for 15 minutes, we went ahead and placed our orders. While waiting, our server asked if we wanted any "appetizers on the house" because of the mishap. We declined as we really wanted our orders right away because we have a movie to catch. Our food came shortly after. Trizha had the Classic as Sheet with sweet potato fries, Houston's was from the kid's menu - Pasta w/ meatball, side of sweet potato fries, carrots and strawberries. I ordered the Reuben with sweet potato fries. Houston finished his food except for the carrots. Trizha said her burger was okay. My Reuben though was excellent! It was warm and meaty with just a little bit of sauerkraut. Our server came back and offered us desserts on the house. We all shared a Chocolate Lava Cake, which Houston devoured and a Cheesecake with berries. Both desserts were pretty good. I would have given them 5 stars if not for that bit of a wait. I showed a picture of the Reuben to Chris and he's been thinking about it. He loves a good Reuben!! I brought my two sons here for dinner after reading the many positive reviews. Nestled back into a woodsy area, the ambiance is excellent, especially on the back porch. The menu has many options, but for dining and drinking, so please choose accordingly. Service was very good; prompt and polite. My only complaint is the overwhelming smell of cigar smoke. Service was great. I had steak with double Brussels sprouts . Unfortunately the vinegar taste of the Brussels sprouts was not very good. Needs a basalmic sweeter glaze and some nuts or cranberries. The restaurant and outdoor area is so beautiful! We loved the trees in the back and the string lights. It's wonderful to sit out there when the weather is nice. We had our two year old with us and asked for a high chair or booster seat. They did not have this which is very strange because they had a full kids menu and even special cups for kids. This really impacted things as the tables were too high. Many people might come here assuming it's kid-friendly when they see a kids menu and to arrive and have no place other than your lap for your child would be disappointing. Our server understood how this was not ideal and went to kitchen to find something to make do which was so kind of him. But still, that should absolutely be something they offer if they are offering other kid-specific items. The food was good! We ordered the pasta, salmon, and turkey wrap! has decent atmosphere it was busy but not packed when we went and service staffing was pretty good; seemed like they were familiar with the menu at least a little to suggest unfortunately we didn't have good chicken sandwiches but was eyeing the pastrami; it was supposed to be nashville hot chicken that my friend and i got (he got mild and i got "rippin") it seemed mine was more like a rip off; the chicken seems to be just a flat pounded breaded chicken breast, which wasn't dry at least but had no inkling of nashville hot anything; the waitress mentioned there was ghost pepper in it and it tasted like just louisiana hot sauce on a frozen chicken patty which was unexpected we shall say and everything felt like it was over salted and not much other flavors present; i luckily ordered a ceasar salad which did have good flavor and sadly saved the dish which don't think salads should be the highlight of an evening dinner though also had asparagus but it came as blackened and they put salt before serving which was more than just a pinch; not a good choice for blackened when there's not much moisture left in asparagus to balance it out the cocktails we had were light on liquor and creative but not my thing since chai of the tiger was pretty much half and half milk and 2oz of mixers; i tried the hot totty and was pleasant especially being on the patio was making us a bit chilly and didn't taste like theraflu overall don't think it's going to make it in the location if they are serving this quality a week after opening; or maybe i'm expecting too much read more
