I will NEVER come here again. ‼ Waste of money and time‼ They're all rude and i never had a problem coming here! I been loyal to them for Years! Yesterday i brought a birthday cake for my husband de tres leche de vanilla($40). Today we cut the cake and it's chocolate !! I was very disappointed!! My husband is allergic of chocolate and I called this place to explain about this situation but at the end she didn't care and hungs up the phone call.. very unprofessional. Please be aware about this place. ‼

I barely ever explored this part of town, and weirdly, I was working on an assignment when I came across this bakery. I'm surprised by how beautifully organized it is. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a short stretch of glass-doored refrigerators filled with dozens of beautiful cakes; some have customized decorated, some templates. On your left is a self-serve coffee area. However, you have yet to see anything. Walk inside, and you'll find a galore of sweets and baked goods. You will discover another glass-doored refrigerator with shelves fully stocked with colorful puddings (the solid kind made with agar or gelatin, not the custard-like), flans, and arroz con leche (rice puddings). Then at the back were glass-doored shelves loaded with pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). It wasn't until I visited this store that I learned more about pan dulce, and I was amazed by how it's an entirely different world of dessert and baking to explore. In my excuse, I bought three different pans, claiming it was part of my work-related experiment for the experience, and arroz con leche (cause rice pudding is one of my favorite desserts). First, looking at each bread's sturdiness and shine, I assume a ton of butter goes into the dough. They have a thicker, almost flakier texture than the airy bread I usually get from Asian bakeries. But compared to European bakeries, they are way sweeter and more buttery, although not greasy. I had fun trying all three because I bought them without knowing what they're called or what's filling, and I just googled it while I munched. The first one was a pumpkin empanada. This was my favorite of the three that I tried, as it was not too heavy. The size was decent, too (most of them are HUGE). The pumpkin filling could have been more sweet, smooth, and nicely spiced with cinnamon. I couldn't identify the second bread I tried, but I got it thinking it was healthier as it was sprinkled with oat flakes and visually had a grainier texture. How wrong was I? It was heavily filled with milk-based thick cream. The milk strong was way too strong; I couldn't finish it. The third one, I think, was Barquillos, a cone-shaped bread loaded with vanilla custard. I love how it was not dusted with sugar or glazed with anything, as the custard was sweet already. It was quite an indulgent bread to have. The rice pudding was really sweet, but I love rice pudding. Food presentation was fantastic. Price-wise, it's cheap. For all these large pieces of bread and a generous cup of rice pudding, I paid less than $8. However, after tasting the amount of sugar and butter that goes into it, I strongly recommend eating it in moderation.

    Half of it was gone!

I got a cake from there and It wasn't a full cake. I paid $44 in the whole bottom was gone, they didn't level it and I told them what's wrong. They said there's nothing they could do about it like, Bad customer service so sad, never going there again!

Pastries & cookies were fresh, colorful and taste great! Thanks for helping us celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month!

    Tres Leches Cake

Let me tell you this upfront - this place is located in a really really shady neighborhood. I was scared to death when I looked around, but none of those things could dampen my spirit for search of a good tres leches cake. Similar to the one I had in California. So, I find this place, great reviews and honestly never researched about the neighborhood but that's another story. The first thing you see when you enter the shop is an amazing array of neatly baked, and decorated tres leches cake in the glass cabinet! Wow, I say to myself. Further inside there were so many bakery items, and it was so hard to resist the impulse of buying all of those. I got a small piece of tres leches cake and pineapple empanadas to-go. The price is so affordable, you could eat them all if it was not for the sugar intake. The tres leches cake in itself was very fresh, perfectly moist and cakey! I can happily say my search for the perfect tres leches cake in Detroit did end here. I would be cautious to travel here ONLY during the day though.

Walk in looking for tres leches cake for impromptu birthday celebration and my boyfriend walks out with this cake from heaven- literally the best cake I've had in my life and I'm not even a cake person. This was for my 16 year old daughter that randomly asked for tres leches cake... ask and you shall receive get this cake!!!!!!!

I don't know what this man's intentions were, but he could've came up to me and just simply asked "are you doing okay? is there anything i can do for you?" instead of scooping me out as if i was getting ready to commit a crime. as I spend more time being back in my home in Detroit, i'm just not understanding why it's too difficult to receive decent and humane customer service. i'm just in complete concern & dismay due to this experience, do so much better.

There were 6 of us so we had to put our name down and it was a ~30 min wait, but so worth it. We ordered the Cashew Caesar Salad to start followed by 3 types of medium sized pizzas: Pepperoni, Meat Lovers and Sausage + Pistachio. The food came out so quickly and SO tasty. I love a good Caesar Salad and the cashews added such a nice nutty taste to it - a hefty portion as well where all of us got a solid serving. The pizzas were cut, luckily, in 6 - super hot and the cheese pulls were so satisfying. My favourite was the Sausage and Pistachio - I've never had one like this and as someone who loves pistachio, the combination worked so well. All to say, the other 2 were also delicious. The pizzas were meaty and I appreciate how they also had vegan/vegetarian substitutions if needed. 10/10 service as well, and our server was awesome! Such a fun spot with lots of seating to accommodate all different sized parties with bar seating as well. No. That could have been easily shared with 1-2 others too. Solid place. No idea what to compare to, but enjoyable.
