For those who continue with allergy shots, remember to check before you go for these. Staff issues happen, sometimes a doctor isn't on call for the shots--requiring cancelation of shots. They try very hard in a very busy office to keep up. Having had limited interactions with other medical staff in the office, I cannot speak to their qualifications, bedside manner, etc. But I was able to get excellent help when I crashed with infections (immune system issues I have), on a weekend. Excellent help from the staff member on call. As I noted, it IS a busy office and paperwork does sometimes slip through cracks--but from the front office to the nurses (thanks esp. to Chelsea), they run to try and cover all bases.

I love NIM and don't know where I'd be without this clinic! It's one of the only allergy clinics in the country that does end-point-titration allergy-therapy, which makes such a big difference in successfully controlling my allergies. (I used to have to fly from Massachusetts to Dallas for end-point titration!) I've suffered in the past with terrible, debilitating autoimmune symptoms, which Dr Lynch--who actually cares, listens and works with me--helped me resolve with natural supplements, dietary adjustments, allergy shots, and minimal medications. The NIM staff is kind and efficient, and I believe it's no accident that there is low staff turnover. Some staff have been there for as long as I've been a patient. Eating these foods gave me hives, bloating, rashes and diarrhea. I could only eat chicken, rice, spinach, and a few nuts. Dr. Kahn performed a skin scratch test that revealed my pollen allergies, which I've had since childhood, are related to food allergies. We made an appointment and when he received the records of how hard of a case she really was he turned her away. Although I was upset with him turning away a patient who in all likelihood will not make it thru the year without help. I had hoped maybe he would know someone who is actually educated more than dealing with teenage acne and the only name he could give us is someone who retired a year ago. I have seen every type of Dr. in this area seeking help for an unspecified condition which I had conducted 1000s of hours of research on. That figure is no exaggeration. He is the ONLY who would prescribe me the medication I needed and it worked because he understood the reasonings along with cause, effect, and the benefits that outweighed any con. This man has actually saved my life in a sense. Dr. Demasi provided alternative solutions that truly worked and upon further research I am baffled why no other Doctor, ENT, Endocrinologist, or Dermatologist picked up on the issues and none of them would even bother listening to me explain why I had what I did, except for him.
