I followed up about an hour later and was told the rep had an emergency, so we rescheduled for two days later. The same thing happened again. It's now been over an hour past the scheduled time and still no call or communication. At this point, it feels like the free consultation doesn't really mean much if they can't even show up or follow through. This is supposed to be the stage where they make a good first impression, and unfortunately that didn't happen. But... They flaked about 15 minutes before the scheduled time, then 5 min later I got a friendly text reminder not to miss the appointment, which was a nice touch. I had to laugh at that, at least. The Dude's time is far more valuable than yours. You will find out minutes before your "scheduled" appt when Siri drops you a line.

For any accountant I'd expect them to go through the W2 in detail and ask questions, but he did not, catching that you have an ESPP discount reflected on your W2 is 100% something any competent accountant preparing your taxes should catch.
