The station is clean and even though prices in CA and not under $3 a gallon, Shell seems to be competitive in CA and the stations are always clean and efficient. Worse experience ever at this location. I will be calling corporate and filing a police report. The cashier at night is very unprofessional, untrained, has no people skills, very disrespectful, I work around the corner amd been coming here for 10 years. I have always had a problem with the night time cashiers but this was the final straw. I purchased gas here on 10-16-2025 @ 4AM before work. The cashier canceled my gas purchased and refused to give me my money back. When I asked her again. She quickly replied "you're being aggressive, you need to leave or im calling the cops". This was a really clean gas station. Easy in and out through the parking lot area and located near the 5 and 405 freeways. We came here because we were shopping at the Irvine Spectrum Center and needed to get gas for the drive home. I found this gas station by search gas stations in the maps app on the iPhone. So I finally went inside this gas station for the first time yesterday and had a pleasant experience. The inside is very clean and well maintained. The woman at the register was friendly and helpful. Came by for a fill up the other day and the experience left much to be desired. Getting in and out of this gas station was more of a maze, around Irvine Spectrum. To my surprise, there was also a line to queue for a pump, like at Costco! The payment terminal at the pump was leisurely and took multiple attempts before able to get an approval. The pump was in good working order but the receipt dispenser was out of paper... ...the cashier inside was lost as multiple attempts to get my receipt proved unsuccessful that resulted in another attempt by another colleague... ...pricing is substantially lower for the area! read more

Have stopped at this place several times before and the restrooms have been Out of service every single time every time I have visited even before covid hit us.They sell food and can not use the bathrooms after you fuel your vehicle ? I understand they have to limit the uses of bathrooms to patrons but every time I stop here to fill My gas and get drinks to keep driving tomLA. I stopped here on Sat 2/20/21 at 1158pm and filled my gas spent over $50.00 and went in to used bathroom and buy some drinks and the attendant was. I came here earlier today 12/14/23 for some gasoline to put into my car. I was trying to use my visa gift card to pay for the gas, but for some reason the card wasn't going through at the gas pump. I tried a few more times after that, but the gift card still wouldn't go through. I finally left after that. I contacted the card company to find out what the deal was with the gift card and apparently shell put the whole transaction on hold. The transaction shouldn't even be on hold at all. I didn't even have a chance to put gas in my car so how can shell put a transaction on hold? Now I have to wait a week to in order for me to use my visa gift card. It's total bs if you ask me. Now I know not to go to a shell gas station for gas. I won't even come back here for a drink. Maybe I'll come back for subway, but that's it. read more

Located on Technology and Alton next to the Walmart & Carl's Jr, this Shell is conveniently located right next to the 5 northbound freeway. It's direct competition is Costco Gas the next block down. The station is huge, housing 4 rows of double-sided pumps with enough space in btwn for a Monster truck to drive through when customers are pumping gas. The distance from the store to the pumps is at least 3.5 car lengths. The convenience store/cashier is large too, and houses cashiers in a double-sided cubicle. Gas prices are obviously higher than Costco Gas, however, they are lower than other competitors in outlying areas. This is a pleasant surprise because of it's location, plus they and Costco Gas are the ONLY gas stations around the area. I do stop here for gas when I'm in the area because Costco Gas is SOOOO busy it's worth the higher price for convenience. read more

Despite the negative reviews, I liked this gas station. It is clean (even the restroom)...their gas prices are competitive...and the location is good. Like other gas stations, they have a minimart that sells lottery tickets, food, cigarettes (for those who want cancer), and other convince store items. read more

I tend to live life dangerously and by that mean I drive around on fumes draining every last drop of gasoline out of my gas tank, ignoring warning signs, until the voice in my head starts screaming "do you really want to be stuck on the side of the road calling AAA?" *sigh* Reality is I just hate pumping gas. I'm always at a gas station with the amount of driving I do and it's so damn expensive. I like my precious pennies. On this glorious occasion I was returning from visiting a friend and the Shell station was my savior but damn it was impossible to get in here. There was no u-turn at the light so I had to turn. Then there was no u-turn up ahead so I had to go into the shopping center, past 5 stores, and back to the street corner where this gas station was. Seriously? My car could have died at any point. I love that this gas station is well lit, has a convenience store open late at night, and a Subway. Not that I was craving Subway but hey, if you happen to get hungry while pumping gas there it is. I felt safe pumping gas here knowing I wasn't alone and that it wasn't dimly lit. In general, OC is pretty safe but you just never know sometimes. This gas station has some of the cheapest prices in all of Irvine, not including Costco gas (which I don't buy because it is basically roulette wheel fuel). Extra plus for not being a hassle to get to a pump since Costco is down the street. Never had a problem with Ralph's rewards getting accepted. Been here at all kinds of hours and never felt like I was in any danger.. until the Walmart opened. Now there's all kinds of shadiness going on. Actually, there were homeless people hanging around BEFORE the Walmart even opened and they already had Walmart carts! That's creative. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH !!!! The pump says 2.83 per gallon, however after you swipe your card the pump reset and changes price to 2.93 per gallon. This is ILLEGAL. Others noticed this too. I called weights and measures and they said this station has lots of violations for consumer fraud. I have to fill out a form so they can add to legal complaints. Be careful !!!! This Shell is located in the Alton Marketplace. For being next to the Costco it still has a lot of people pumping gas, so I had to wait and maneuver the car in crazy manners just to find a pump that I could attach the hose to. Either way, despite there being a lot of people, I managed to put the credit card in the machine and pump gas. It was processed properly. read more

I don't normally come to this Shell for the gas, but rather for the little food mart that's attached to it. For a quick snack - besides what the vending machine in my office can offer - this place is great. I generally pick up an iced tea and some guilty-pleasure sweets, but they have a great assortment of crisps, chocolate, candy, jerky, sodas - and if it weren't a workday - 'beverages'. Parking can be a little tight here, as the Subway is also located inside the Shell station, making it a popular place to come during lunch time. If you have more time on your hands, drive down the road to Target (where prices are less). But for a quick, close stop - this place is great. read more

This She'll station is right next a Carl's Jr and Walmart. So it gets busy. But the price here is very good. I go here often for fuel for work and for my Tahoe. The place is clean and very well lit up. I would recommend even my mom to stop here in the middle of the night if she needed gas. The window washer squeegee is always there and full of washer fluid. The only draw back is that it's in the corner when you come into the parking lot. One way in and out. The lines get pretty long at times during the day. But early in the morning it is wide open. Sometimes just me and 8 pumps. They also have a convenient store if you need to get something to drink. read more

Ralph's Rewards Cards SAVE $0.10 / Gal = Costco Gas Price I am really starting to love the shell gas stations. This Shell is accepting Ralph's rewards cards for an instant 10 cent rebate on gas prices. Even though it is located right next to Costco, Shell gas prices are competitive and sometimes can even beat the cheap Costco gas. With my Ralph's reward card, I no longer need to wait in the long lines to fill up my gas at Costco. I really hope that all of the other Shell gas stations start to adopt this system. I may become one of their best customers from here on out. The only reason why I give 4 stars for this place is because of the hassle to get in and out of the gas station. Although the location is good, there is only one entrance to the gas station and you need to drive along a long curve in order to get in and out. Other than this, the little food mart that they have is very nice and the gas prices are great. read more

It's very hard to find parking here during my lunch break. If I do find parking here it is very hard to get out of my parking spot here.

First time getting gas in irvine area, we ran out of gas on the way to spectrum. The price is not too bad, a lot cheaper than the anaheim area I must say, if you pay with cash, its 10 cents cheaper. The middle gas is the one I usually use and it is 4.09$ with cash instead of 4.19$ with credit card. The lot is pretty spacious so you wont have to squeeze in tiny spaces like other gas stations. Its located next to Wal-Mart. Subway is here in their food mart station. read more

They advertise they accept Ralph's cards in order to get a 10 or 20 cent discount on gasoline but this was not case for me. This happened twice. On the first occasion, I went to this gas station, punched in my number and the machine told me I didn't qualify when I had the receipts from Ralph's with more than enough points. On the second occasion, I tried twice and the discount never registered. I went in and spoke to the manager and all he did was give me the number to Ralph's customer service. I left and went to the Shell on Culver and Westpark Way and everything worked fine. I believe if they don't want to provide the discount, they should not advertise that they have it. This place gets worse and worse!! PLEASE Mr. Owner - do yourself a favor and hire yourself some people who are customer service oriented!! Time after time as I'm waiting in line at the register I tell myself it's my last time, but it's convenient to my office and sometimes a girl just needs gas! These clerks have zero people skills, and are more concerned with watching the mirrors in the corners trying to nab shoplifters than they are about tending to the people in front of them. Yesterday, I was doing multiple transactions (buying gas, lotto tix) and the guy held my change in his hand. Looked at me like, ok you're done (God forbid u get a thank you there), and I said...are you going to actually give me that change in your hand?? 'Oh yes, ofcourse!'....I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I walked out of there convinced that this guy does this as often as he thinks he can get away with it. Today while grocery shopping I realized my ATM CARD was missing. I immediately called Shell (the last place I used it) and asked if a card had been located. The man who answered immediately said NO very abruptly - I said, can you please look...I can hold. He answered "I've already looked' and hung up on me!! SERIOUSLY??? I realize you're busy watching the mirrors and all, but I am your customer!!! Yesterday I was there spending my money in your store, and the least you can do is go through the motions!!
