Quite sticky and there were issues in finding straws. I had to ask the staff for a refill on the straws with the scooper on the end. Easy checkout while I went to get food for my car. The gas nozzles were quite dirty and sticky. Luckily I had some extra disposal gloves so it wasn't a problem. The windshield wiper container only had water and no soap so I didn't get a good clean on my windshield. Overall OK experience. It does have one of the cheaper rates for gas so it's worth a stop here. read more

Unlawful Harassment and Disability Discrimination--Owner Needs to Address This Immediately I was subjected to blatant discrimination and harassment at this 7-Eleven location (8693 Irvine Center Dr, Irvine, CA). After purchasing items inside, I sat in my truck to eat. Despite the parking lot being completely dead and no delivery trucks present, a staff member approached and harassed me twice, claiming the owner instructed him to make me move. This is a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. I am a person with a disability, and I was denied reasonable accommodations to simply enjoy the food I paid for. There are absolutely no posted time limits for patrons in this lot. To make matters worse, another vehicle was parked right next to me for just as long--if not longer--and the staff completely ignored them. I was singled out, targeted, and forced to leave without any legitimate reason. When I questioned the employee, he arrogantly claimed he "knows the laws." When I asked if he was disabled or actually knew disability law, he admitted he did not. He then explicitly told me that delivery vehicles regularly park in the handicapped zone. Parking delivery vehicles in a designated blue grid or handicap space is completely illegal under California Vehicle Code 22507.8. I have personally witnessed other delivery trucks parked in spaces on the opposite side of the building before, so there is plenty of space for deliveries. To the Owner of this Franchise: Your staff's behavior and your alleged corporate policies are exposing you to severe legal and financial ramifications. * ADA Title III Violations: Under federal law, failing to provide reasonable modifications to policies for individuals with disabilities is illegal. * California Unruh Civil Rights Act: In California, an ADA violation automatically triggers a violation of the Unruh Act. This carries a mandatory minimum statutory damage of $4,000 per incident plus attorney's fees. Because your employee harassed me twice, you are looking at multiple stacking violations. * Illegal Handicap Parking Enforcement: Allowing or instructing delivery vehicles to utilize handicap spaces carries steep local law enforcement fines and towing liabilities. Your employee's actions were discriminatory, exclusionary, and highly illegal. You need to immediately retrain your staff on ADA compliance and public accommodation laws before your business faces a formal lawsuit and investigation. HORRIBLE customer service at this 7-Eleven in Irvine. This incident occurred on Friday, January 23 at 10:30 PM. I clearly asked the cashier multiple times to put $60 on pump 4, repeating myself and even using hand gestures because he did not seem to understand what I was saying and then proceeded to get snacks. A few minutes later, when my mother came in to confirm the gas payment, the cashier raised his voice, pointed at me, and accused me of never telling him what the money was for, and my mom got mad and told him not to speak to me in that way and especially because she had just asked a question. And Instead of calmly clarifying the situation, he became confrontational and disrespectful and the worst part is we couldn't understand him at all because there was a significant language barrier. And Because the language barrier was escalating the situation, I asked my mother to return to her car to calm things down, and I remained inside to complete the transaction. Despite this, the cashier continued acting unprofessionally. While I was paying for snacks for myself and my sister, he handled our items roughly and treated us rudely, as if the situation was my fault. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this location. The staff are consistently impatient and discourteous. During my visit today, I was spoken to in a raised and confrontational manner when asking a simple question about a promotion on energy drinks. There was no effort made to listen or provide clarification, which made the interaction unnecessarily uncomfortable. The older Indian man yelled at me in front of other customers in line. Communication appears to be an ongoing issue at this store, and rather than attempting to assist customers, staff seem to become frustrated when asked straightforward questions. I have visited many 7-Eleven locations and have never encountered this level of unprofessionalism. Having worked in both retail and service industries myself, I understand the challenges of customer-facing roles. However, there is no excuse for treating customers disrespectfully, especially when they are being polite. The behavior I experienced today was unacceptable and should be addressed by management. I come in to get a beverage nearly every day before work. On the few occasions I have dealt with Ashesni, he has been rude, disrespectful and YELLED at me when I questioned him regarding the price for a beverage refill. Today was the last straw! I walked up to the counter and told Ashwani my drink was a refill. He ignored me and tried to charge full price. I said no, it's a refill. Location is practical, right by plenty of great restaurants and shops, I have stopped here many times for gas, drinks or lotto. Service is nice, the pumps can get pretty full, but the store is always very clean and well stocked. Easy access to both the 5 & 405 makes this a great stop when passing through the area as well. read more

7-Eleven is a convenient place to buy candy, snacks, drinks (I do love Slurpees!), magazines and gas. Although, they don't always have the cheapest gas prices in the area. This is one of the few places open 24 hours in Irvine! The employees are unfriendly. If you don't bother them, they won't bother you. Just pay for your stuff and leave. You can tell they really hate their jobs, but you can't blame them, I would hate working there too! Word of advice: if you don't want to get gross and dirty coins or bills in change, you might want to pay by card. I swear, every time I pay by cash here, I get dollar bills that are so nasty! I was trying to use the 7-11 coupon on the Retail Therapy app at the Los Olivos shopping center in Irvine. When I presented the coupon from my phone to the cashier named, Raj, he said that the coupon needs a barcode for it to work, otherwise the manager does not know why a discount is being applied. I showed the cashier that this was a "live" coupon and that there is no barcode. Not wanting to make assumptions, it seems as if the employee knows about the retail therapy coupon as he was quick to say "no barcode" before looking over the coupon page for more than a second. I have never in my life had such a horrific experience at an establishment. I know 7 eleven is one of those places you only go if you absolutely have to and I would normally not be writing a review about an establishment like this but out of concern for other customers safety, this review needs to be written. I am from San Diego and visited the Del Mar Fair and received the 'passport for savings' booklet while visiting as I bought the 'family value pack' at Costco. I walked in with my friend and went to the register to present my coupon for a free hotdog and a big gulp. The cashier (who apparently was the owner of the store) who was completely impossible to understand as he spoke ZERO English and had a VERY thick accent muttered something rather abruptly, he became annoyed when I said 'I'm sorry can you please repeat that?' He then made some sort of hand gesture pointing to the hot dogs, took my coupons and muttered something that was incomprehensible. I understood that as 'go ahead and get you free items.' I went over to retrieve my free hotdog and big gulp. As I was about to retrieve some condiments for my hotdog the same man approached my friend and I and was going on a tangent which we were unable to understand. My friend heard something about '87 cents' and told me that he believes the man is saying the coupon states that it is not free but instead 87 cents. I told the man that the coupon stated that it was free but he started to escalate and began to scream and come closer towards us and started to move his hands. I calmly told the man to stop screaming and to get back as he is physically threatening us and violating our personal space. I then firmly told the man to show me the coupons I just gave him to prove that it said it was not free. He kept screaming incoherently at my friend and I and then at the register still refused to show me the coupons I gave him. I reiterated that it's my right to see the coupons that I gave him to verify what he is saying. He slammed it in front of me and shouted '87 cents!' I then pushed back and said 'sir it says free.' He then screamed again 'NOT FREE!' I then ordered the man to give me my coupons back and should have informed me coupons are not accepted at this store in the first place. He then screamed 'NO!' refusing to give me my coupons back. A lady behind me who was disgusted with the store owner's behavior even offered to buy it but at this point I was disgusted with his behavior and decided to abandon my items and leave the store. The man tried to swindle my friend into some sort of rewards program on the way out so we decided to call the police to report the store owner for his unethical behavior. As we exited the store and called the authorities and walked to my car the man began to come out of the store and continue shouting at us in a deranged manner. I started the car and locked the doors but my friend stood outside and told the store owner that law enforcement is on the way, which angered him even further, to which he began to get physical with my friend and started coming closer to him and screaming. My friend screamed 'BACK OFF! GET AWAY FFOM ME!' By the time the police had arrived they were aware of the situation and based on prior reviews, he is no stranger to the Irvine Police Department. The police officer was able to go inside and reprimand the store owner and got my coupons back. We were advised not to come back to this location and we agreed we never would. I have no idea how this man is able to continue operating with his reign of terror but it is obvious this man has served time in the past based on his interactions with women and his temper and physically threatening manner towards customers. I will NEVER be coming back to this store and urge EXTREME caution if deciding to come to this establishment. If you do choose to come here, proceed at your own risk and make sure you have battery on your phone ready to call 911 or record this man in case he decides to pull the same shenanigans again. I will not be reporting him to corporate as based on prior reviews it seems to be an absolute waste of time. STAY AWAY!!! read more

This 7-Eleven is in the Los Olivos plaza on the side with the Burger King on it. My friend was hungry here so I bought her a snack. Since she could not decide the cashiers on duty started to look more impatient as we whispered amongst ourselves, probably because there was no line at the time. I've had very good experiences at this 7-Eleven. They seem to be consistently busy no matter what time of day I have been here, which makes sense as they are on a very busy street. That also makes leaving here convenient as they are right off the 5 and 405 freeways. This location also has gas, air and water. The gas station is well lit, safe and always clean. The clientele here is easy going, even later in the night. The water and air machine is located to the side of the building which is very convenient - you are not only out of the way of all the foot traffic but also can take your time putting air in your tires using the digital Xact Air system. The gas station attendants will turn on the machine for you, even if you are not purchasing gas. The 7-Eleven itself is clean and fully stocked with a large variety of candy, snacks and drinks to name a few. Organization is key here! This is actually quite a large store. I find the staff here to be consistently friendly. Initially, I wasn't sure about stopping at a 7-Eleven for gas but I'm very happy I gave this location a try! read more

Oh, I know. I'm Yelping a 7-11 convenience store. But I actually frequent this particular location quite often, so I just couldn't hold it back any longer. There are many reasons why I find myself here. It's in the same plaza and right across from Fukada. It's nearby the Spectrum, one of the few places to walk around at night in Irvine. But the number one reason why I go to 7-11 is for the Slurpee. Even DOMO loves Slurpees. Every now and then, I'll crave that icy treat. It doesn't matter if it's a smoldering 100 degrees outside (although it helps) or a freezing 60 degrees (hey, it's SoCal), I look forward to the next time those frosty colored ice crystals give me the dreaded brain freeze. For me, brainfreeze is the inevitable. No matter what I do, how slow I drink, or how little I consume, a sharp pain pierces through my cranium. I'll stomp my feet, yell in agony, squeeze my eyes shut, anything to help alleviate the feeling that brain is about to explode. But did you know pressing your tongue against the roof of your mouth is a known cure of brainfreeze? Go figure. It's even listed on the official Slurpee website. Anyway, the Slurpee quality and consistency here is a hit or miss, like many 7-11's. It could just be lack of maintenance, or the fact that the machine just hasn't had enough time to properly mix. You always have to do a little testing beforehand, with a slight pull of the level, but be careful of the initial messy and watery squirt (focus now). Of course, it's all about the flavors. I remember when it just used to be cherry, blueberry, and Coke. Now, there's all kinds of weird flavors that make a rainbow out of your tongue. I've been partial to Fuji Frost Fanta Apple lately, with a bit sour and tart flavor. I know there's been many imitators and similars (Icee, anyone?) throughout the years, but the Slurpee will always remain near and dear to my heart. I had the strangest encounter with the attendant with a mustache and heavy accent. I noticed my pump was running super slowly. So I went inside to notify the attendant and ask if he could do anything about it. He responded very aggressively for some reason. He came out to my car telling me that nothing was wrong with the pump, it was a new pump, that other gas stations with faster pumps were shortchanging me, and that millions of other people used this pump before me and never complained. He proceeded to manually squeeze the gas pump for the next 15 minutes (should only take 5 min or less) ranting about how I didn't know the Hindu way and that I didn't know anything about the gas equipment, etc. I felt like I should be mad, but I almost felt bad for him like he was worried this slow pump would ruin his business reputation or something.
