The employee working tonight around 10 PM was incredibly rude, used profanity, and was generally unhelpful. I was trying to resolve an issue where I appeared to be double charged $40 for prepaid gas, and instead of helping explain what might have happened, the employee began cursing at me. This was a very disappointing experience. I hope a manager is able to read this review, follow up with their staff, and address both the customer service issue and the double charge. read more

So the guy who is always working here (evenings) never speaks. I always figured he was super shy or just had zero people skills. Not even hi or hello (the most basic customer service skills). But today I came in (Fri 1/17 around 5:45) with a gift card and handed it to him and he said I had to do it on my end. So I took the gift card out of its cardboard holder it comes in and asked him if he could please throw away the cardboard holder for me, because there was a trash basket literally right behind where he was standing at the register. He said no. Throw it away yourself. I said, there is a trash right there, pointing to the basket less than 2 feet away from him. Still no, he wouldn't. Then I bought some lotto tickets with cash, and he looks at me before giving me my change and says "so are you going to throw that away, because its rude to leave it there" pointing to the small piece of cardboard my giftcard came in. He expects me to walk away to the trash without getting my change?! I said no, I'm waiting for you to give me my change. He is treating me like this with a line of people behind me to witness it. Once I got my change, I threw away the little piece of trash that he wasn't capable of tossing in the waste basket. They have lost my business because they choose to employee of this minimum wage employee with a power trip. Clearly he is a miserible person who hates his job and is desperate to feel important and have a sense of control over others. As someone who has 20+ years of customer service management experience, I can say with certainty, that he belongs at a job with no human interaction. Maybe the city dump, where the work will match his personality. Way to go above and beyond to be a total a-hole to the customers. read more

As expected, the following days the machine is wrapped with caution. Then after a month, all of them are down. The machines that are not wrapped also didn't work. I go to this location because it's convenient near me. Now, it's more like a hassle to know whether it is opened or not. read more

I went to fill up gas today, and I wanted to use my Ralphs points. I entered the points told me I had $.50 off and I entered my credit card and payment was approved. Then when I went to pump, the screen had went back to the pay now screen. When I went inside to tell the cashier, Alberto, he said that I did not do it correctly, and I would have to hold my choice of gasoline button down for five seconds. He said it has always been that way, and then I did it incorrectly. I've never had to do this ever at any gas station, and if this is the case, it would be nice if there was a sign mentioning this. I was unable to use my rewards points, and he tells me I will need to know call Ralph's to get them re-entered. read more

Terrible customer service. They will not help you and they don't care about their customers. I entered my Ralphs rewards to get my discount. It said waiting for the cashier. The cashier was taking forever and I walked inside to let them know they needed to do something on their end so I could get my gas. The cashier was in the back and seemed bothered I called him to help. I let him know that he needed to approve the rewards price. He said he didn't have to do anything on his end and I needed to redo everything myself. I mentioned it showed on the screen outside that it was waiting for the cashier on the pump screen. He proceeded to argue with me that he was not coming out to help me. I said I will go take a picture of the screen to show you. I came back in with the picture and he still refused to help. He said you need to redo it yourself. I asked why can't he just do his job and he told me to go somewhere else. He didn't care. After reading other comments I believe they don't want to give you the rewards you earn from Ralphs. If you can go to another gas station you should. Steer clear from this Shell. read more

It's funny how the reviews are all across the board for this gas station. I am actually quite content with this place. They are conveniently located at the corner of Marguerite and Santa Margarita Parkway. There are many entrance options, in case you decide to stop at the last minute, which is always a big plus for me. The pumps are nicely spaced out, so it isn't a tight fit or squeeze like some stations I have been to. They also have a spot for air and gas as well as a little mini mart. The mini mart has limited options, but I still find it convenient in a pinch. If not there is always Sprouts and Ralphs as an option just along the way. read more

I'd give zero if I could. The staff was extremely rude and lacked any type of help when it came to their own pumping system. They tried to tell me that I canceled the transaction, when that wasn't true at all. I explain to them exactly how I pump the gas as you do at a usual gas pumps and they still told me I was incorrect or wrong. Which makes no sense because you pull the pump out and you press the button like normal. so they've charged me twice with hold on my account for the so-called cancel of the transaction. Then they proceeded to blame me and say it was my fault, yeah perfect sense right? The girl with the space buns who worked October 28 around noon was the most rude I've ever come across at a gas station. Your job is pretty darn simple, and doesn't require you to think too much. Clearly this isn't the job for her. If I find any more issues or transactions on my account, you guys are gonna get sued. read more

Quality at this location has really gone downhill. They never give the discount with the rewards card and the pump handles are not clean. Nothing to clean the windows with. They are nice inside which is why a gave two stars. I will be going to a different gas station from now on. read more

A well deserved one star review for this Station, this is the second time this has happened to me. I drove up and asked the cashier if I could purchase two exchange propane tanks. The cashier advised me that they were out of propane. You can see the pictures that I provided, they were not out of propane. This same cashier has done this to me twice, he is the laziest Employee that they have here. It was pretty obvious that he did not want to come out and unlock the cabinet and lift two 20 pound propane cylinders. read more

It's a gas station, so there is nothing special to write here. But I do want to gripe about the lack of lighting around the air and water station. I prefer going at night as I don't have to contend with the rush hour crowds. But there's a price to pay for that; it's just about impossible to see what you are doing at night, especially on the driver's side (normal head-in parking). Some of us actually check our tire pressures, you know. Carry a flashlight until someone wises up and moves the light pole over a little more. read more

I am so sick and tired of this gas station NEVER having enough printer paper to print out my receipt. No, I do not have time to "go see the attendant" their squeegees are old and worthless. their serial printer connection is slower than DOS. just a lousy experience every darn time. read more

One year after most of these reviews and the pumps at this station still don't work. I would love to fill up here but every time I try to use my card at the pump it closes out the sale before I start pumping gas. If by some chance I'm lucky enough to somehow get the pump to work then getting a receipt is another issue all together. I'm done being frustrated here. read more

This Shell is right on the corner of Marguerite and Santa Margarita before all the shopping centers and madness from THHS...it is a busy has station but their are a lot of pumps, they are never out of service, it's not near the freeway so the prices are always the lowest, the store inside is a little slim, Brian inside is really nice I like him a lot, I live right across the street so I come here every day to pick up water and get gas and it's always quick and an easy stop and Brian's always cool! The Chevron across the street is Always a nightmare! Kids walking around everywhere.....plus the Ralph's across the street saves you .20 a gallon of you use your phone # at this shell! I will never go here again. The attendant working the counter would not turn on the air for me to inflate my tires even though I had just purchased gas. The posted sign says that tire air is to be provided free of charge to those who fill up. Also, I used to love this station for the relaxing classical music that played. It gave the place a peaceful feeling. Now, the music is gone and tv screens at every pump bombard you with ads. Very annoying. Stay away from Trabuco Shell! read more
