I cannot say enough good things about this place. I came in for a oil change and tire rotation. And since I'm not a mechanic and forgot some of the terminology, long story short...during the tire rotation they noticed something very wrong with one of my wheels...and before rotating it to the front of the car...the owner went out in his own vehicle to match up my tire with the right part...brought it back and installed it. It cost me a extra $5 and trust me, the time this guy took to drive across town just to fix my car cost way more than $5. It's this kind of service and dedication that makes me proud to be a New New Mexican (coming from DC). The kindness, hard work and honesty I've come to associate with New Mexico is fully evident in this garage. I will be back for all of my car needs. Thanks guys! read more

This is a fantastic place to get your oil change. It's fast, the staff are friendly, and the owner goes above and beyond your expectations. The staff also knows a great deal about your car beyond the typical lube stations. They warned me about a defect in my vehicle that jiffy lube for example never picked up! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. As a female, this was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in years. The guy kept calling me 'hon' and then just decided what type of oil to put in with out asking me. When I confronted him, he said I had to have synthetic because of my high mileage. I don't even have 40k miles on my car! He used some lipstick analogy for why I needed to have him flush my radiator, which I declined to do. Long story short, the sign outside advertised an oil change for under $30, but I spent over $100, and that was after they used cheaper oil. I will say that the 100 bucks included new wiper blades that I did request. We've done many oil changes at this place, but no more. They over charge, and they don't know how to deal with women. read more

Similar to another reviewer, owner tried to put in a more expensive oil than agreed upon. Quote skyrocketed from $40 to $170 and then continued to argue with me that it was a better oil even though I was very, very specific on what I wanted and we agreed about. Owner was very very rude and eventually told me he never wanted to see me come around again. I wish I could yell it from the rooftops what an absolutely atrocious experience this was. Got an oil change before a road trip. My normal mechanic was booked and they suggested these guys! I was in and out in 20 minutes. They topped off my fluids, changed the oil, vacuumed the car, put air in the tires, the works. For 40 dollars, a steal! They were honest, which is hard to find. Commercial places like jiffy lube will "suggest" several things to be wrong with your car, these guys were straight up - they did give me some options (ex: tire rotation and new wiper blades) but both were reasonable suggestions, and they didn't argue or get pushy when I declined. I will definitely be getting quick oil changes here in the future! read more

Owner and other employees tried to sell many things I did not need. The owner tried that classic scam of showing me old oil and claiming I needed an oil system flush. He said the oil had not been changed in over a year, and when I checked my records, it had been 5 mo. This is the only place I get my oil changed and I'm considering not coming back. There was some confusion as to whether I've been to this location or not. My car was listed under a different license plate and there was difficulty finding my past service records. However, the sticker from my last oil change was still on my window to give them the information needed. 4 weeks ago the ownership changed over and I didn't know this. Dale, the previous owner was the reason I frequented this shop and I plan on finding another place. Dale's customer service was excellent and he always remembered me each time I came in. It's been a good run but on to the next. Overall an ok shop. read more

Horrible!!!! do not use this company. they advertised $26.99 for oil change. Ended up taking 45 minutes and charging me $69.74 and couldn't even get the oil filter out of car. So, now I will have to go to dealership to get that done. Don't let them do the paid and switch with you. read more

I will never go back to this shop again. I called and asked about a starter repair and was quoted $200-300 and 2-3 hrs. Got my car towed there first thing in the morning and they said it'll be $400-500 and 4 hrs. I call them 4 and a half hours later and they said it'll be another hour. At five and a half hours, I showed up to see what was going on. The mechanic told me that he didn't know how to put my car back together. They had to take it apart to replace my starter and then couldn't put it back together. Julio then came out and explained to me that getting to the starter was very difficult. However, the mechanic had just told me that the starter was replaced and the issue was now that they couldn't "get the wires to match up." Finally, 8 hrs later, they try to charge me $850. We talked them down to $600. Two days later my car won't start. The mechanic didn't tighten the positive battery terminal on my car. Needless to say, I would not recommend this shop and will never return. read more

I used to be a loyal customer. I brought in my vehicle for an oil change, and once it was done I got a couple blocks away when the engine started making a high-pitched squealing noise it had never made before. I immediately turned around and brought it back. First they told me it was doing that when I brought it in. My vehicle was only 5 years old at the time, very low mileage and very well maintained. I insisted that no, it was not, and they needed to figure out what they did to make it start doing that. Three of them looked under the engine for a couple minutes, looking puzzled. The manager came over and sprayed belt dressing on the belts - which didn't work. Then he told me I needed to take it to the dealership and have it looked at, and if it was their fault, they would cover the cost, which I did. I explained what happened to the guys at the dealership, and they called me back in about an hour and said they fixed it. They explained there's a plate in front of the oil filter on my vehicle (I don't remember what he said the reason was for that), and that it had been bent out of the way during the oil change, and the squealing noise I was hearing was one of the belts rubbing up against the plate. He stated "they very clearly didn't use an oil filter wrench to get at that oil filter - if they had, it would fit up there with no problem. It looks to me like he took the oil filter out by hand, and just bent that plate out of the way to get his hand to fit up there." Fortunately, the dealership didn't charge me for that, but I will never go back to this place again. A vehicle is usually one of the biggest investments a person makes, second only to a house purchase - and you can't be bothered to a) do a job right and not damage the vehicle, or b) fix it when you do something wrong? SCAM ALERT! Unethical new ownership! Last week my girlfriend went in for an oil change and ended up with a $421.19 bill. Unauthorized work was performed; the owner grossly exaggerated the condition of her car's battery and used scare tactics to increase the "sale". Later in the day when I confronted the owner, he refunded the charge for the unauthorized transmission flush, which was a step in the right direction. However, he never apologized for his transgressions which went way beyond the unauthorized transmission flush, but instead tried to deflect the situation by bringing up his military service and his daughter's health issues. He did not own up to being wrong. As a long time customer of the previous owner, Dale Erickson, a very high level of trust was established by me because of who he was and how he ran his business. I cannot trust the current owner because of how he runs his business. I will no longer do business with this establishment and will suggest the same to my friends, relatives and countless business associates. read more
