I had hot water throughout the house and I don't know what caused it. I called "Shellback Plumbing and Drain" and relayed my issues and without hesitation they sent Jessie and Rod right away. Excellent plumbers with good positive attitude. I spoke with and Jessie and discussed with him the issues I had with hot water problems and I was really surprised on how he attentively and actively listened to my concern. He communicated like a pro and with his skills an expertise he was able to figure out where the problem was. The valve underneath the kitchen sink failed to mix which caused hot water throughout the house. He removed the mixing valve and replaced the house-bib along the angle stop under the kitchen faucet due to not closing properly. As soon as he did all those things everything was back to normal. I woke up Friday morning and to my dismay I walked into a puddle of water in my hallway. I followed the river of water to my guest bathroom. OMG! my toilet was overflowing. I got a quote from a friend of mine regarding a pluming job. I decided to get a second opinion and just randomly searched for a plumber in my area. Shellback came up so I decided to call. I spoke with gentlemen on the phone, and he made an appointment for me that same day and also said if I was available sooner, they could accommodate me. I actually had time available and called back & they said they could have someone there within the hour. Not ONLY were they on time But Miguel (plumber) waited on me to give him the ok to fix it. After he repaired my Leak, he waited until I came home and walked me through everything he repaired! This morning I was unable to start my water heater. I called Shellback Plumbing & Drain and was told that they would call me back to give me a time of arrival. At 7:45am Gary Borg called and after getting my name and address told me that I would receive a call from a repairman man within 30 min. At 8:15am I received a call from Alex Huerta, the repairman, that he was at my front door and was here to check my water heater. Alex tried to start my water heater and after a few tries told me that the problem was with the Pilot Assembly. As it happened I had a new Pilot assembly which Alex promptly installed. Alex and his assistant Albert were both professional and friendly. I plan to use Shellback Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs. Never heard of Shellback Plumbing before but you can bet that you'll be hearing the name more. I had a drain backup at my kitchen sink ... called Shellback based on flyer I saw. Gary, the owner, was out to my house within an hour. Since the drain was plugged under the sink or in the wall, Gary pulled the trap and showed me a pipe completely plugged with corrosion. He suggested several alternatives. I went with changing out the pipes under the sink for plastic. While he was working, Gary used an implement to clean out the pipe in the wall as best he could and advised that in the future, that pipe was going to have to be replaced. He got me up and running for a very fair price and told me what to expect in the future so that I can budget the cost. Can't ask for much more than that. Try him ... you'll like him. I just want to say that I had a great experience with David at Shellback plumbing. I really appreciated his professionalism, and his dedication to his work. I had a leak from a broken drain in my bathroom that spilled out into my garage. I had a different plumbing company come out at first, but I was unimpressed with them. Then I remembered I had Shellback fix something at my house a few months earlier, and they did a great job, so I called them again. David diagnosed the problem quickly and advised me on the steps that needed to be taken, he referred me to a restoration company that removed drywall and my ruined vanity , but saved as much as they could so that restoring the bathroom will be easy and economical. I had a stopped up drain on a Friday that was causing me real trouble. I called Shellback Plumbing and Drain because they had a great drain cleaning special running. Spoke to Gary who said he was very busy but if I didn't mind him coming late, he'd be sure to help me out that day at no extra charge. The poor guy must have been exhausted but he kept his promise and arrived at 7pm. I had been in contact with him throughout the day and would have been thrilled if he showed up a midnight, let alone 7pm! He worked very hard and succeeded to clear the tough clog. Gary was exceptionally tidy, polite and respectful. He didn't charge a penny more than his coupon price and even gave me a referral to a handyman for some other work I needed done. I contacted my home warranty insurance because my old water heater was leaking and passed it's prime (2006). They put me in touch with Shellback, I was contacted by Gary that same day (Saturday) to setup an appointment, the technician Byron came out and said he could bring a new one on Monday. I asked Bryon about the tankless type knowing they cost more and was told the insurance would pay me for whatever a new replacement of the same type and I'd pay the difference to install a tankless. It made sense they paid me $1025 which I put towards purchase of Noritz and I'll get a rebate from So Cal Gas. The Plumbing in my home decided to backup with Clear water in 2 toilets, bathtub and shower thank goodness no overflow - I was referred to Shellback who helped me tremendously - Edger found it was my Sewer which collapsed after 55 years needed replacing, so he got Ronald to help him and both were extremely professional and nice guys! I have used shellback before for a new garbage disposal, I was so happy with their services I called for them to install my new toilets. I can't tell you how happy I was with their service. Our Plummer, Adan, Was amazing and I couldn't have been happier with his service. We had a few hiccups because someone didn't take correct measurements (me lol) but Adan was able to make everything work to where we had two working toilets upstairs again. Adan was so kind, he let my 3 and a half year old son watch him work and let my son flush the toilet when he needed him to. All in all I was so happy with my service from shellback! I had a leaky shower cartridge that was corroded. I called a plumber who gave me an estimate of $1,300 AND a hole would have to be cut in the wall. I next called Shellback and Eric came and assessed the problem. He sprayed WD 40 and said he would be back at 8 AM to remove the cartridge. He was on time, removed the leaky cartridge, left to obtain a new part, returned and was able to replace it without any holes in the wall and at a fraction of what the first plumber estimated. My coworker recommended this place and then I checked it out here in yelp. I message them yesterday, and a nice gentleman came today. (yes on Christmas Eve). He was very kind and professional and never pushed anything for me to say yes to on repairs. He didn't sound like he just made up a price for me which I really like. He made a side opening on one wall when he could have easily crack open the front wall without me complaining. He explained everything and really sound like he wasn't just making it up. Hi everyone, just wanted to share our experience with shellback plumbing. Few days ago our boiler was leaking water so we had to shut it down. Didn't know what needed to get it working since I have no idea a put the boiler so my neighbor suggested I call shellback. Our water heater broke and we called home warranty to fix it. While the water heater was turned off there was no water in the shower/tub at all. It took them a week to get back to us and the plumbing company they sent had all bad reviews. I contacted Gary at Shellback on a Sunday morning through yelp messenger. I was extremely surprised to get a quick response back. We texted back and forth about a water pressure regulator that I was told by a different company needed to be replaced. I was able to set up an appointment for the next day. His crew showed up on time and adjusted our water regulators PSI . Can't say enough about being honest in business they saved me over $500 from having to replace an expensive part.
