If you love miscommunication, or lack of communication all together then this office is for you!!…read moreIf you love nurses talking down to you or medical information being withheld from you regarding your health then once again.. you will really enjoy being a patient here. Office staff is GROSSLY NEGLIGENT and will not keep you informed of financial or medical information. And when they surprise you with said information to which you were unaware of they will act surprised as you since you "should've been told". In all honesty I don't enjoy writing bad reviews about anywhere cause generally I just won't take my business there any longer but for the love of all things holy please take this review as a warning. You will not be treated with respect or professionalism at this office and when you attempt to understand or ask for them to make things right they will straight up tell you to hit the road and drop you as a patient rather than deal with the massive amount of problems they have going from within. This office has major accountability issues within their staff and the doctors there who SHOULD be advocating for their patients and keeping staff in line are kept out of the loop about what's going on in their office. It's detestable to call this a medical practice and anyone considering becoming a new patient here take this review and many others like it as a warning. You will regret giving them your business.

I am not…read morea fan of the new "open" reception area, too many columns and it is rather stark but I am not at the doctors office for interior decorations. Dr. Gupta is very thorough and meticulous about her patients health. My exams have been thorough and follow medical guidelines. Her staff is professional and responsive to my needs. If there is something I can do to improve my health, Dr. Gupta nudges me in that direction (Yes, I should exercise more.) If you have a serious health issue, she is an advicate for her patients.

Asked a question in the comment section about insurance and cost. They called me back, scheduled and said good to go. Show up for the appointment, driving 30 minutes to get to their office, and they told me it would be $70 for the copay for y. I said that's fine, but that's not why I'm here. I literally spoke to someone about this two days ago, they didn't have anything in my notes. On top of that, when I asked them to give the price if insurance didn't cover, I was told to call my insurance "and figure it out." Ummm no! That is why I'm coming to a doctor office. YOU call my insurance and figure it out. I was told they don't handle that. So I walked out. Note: I would have been fine paying out of pocket, I just wanted to know the cost in advance. Online said between $150-$1,500 and that is a big gap/difference. They absolutely refused to assist in getting information. I will go elsewhere and pay out of pocket, but will not work with rude individuals who don't give patients the courtesy of helping the process by doing their jobs. Do not recommend.

He walked us through the options and carefully explained the pros and cons of each approach in a way that we both could understand them. We agreed on the best approach and then he began to prep. We walked out of his office, cyst free. Everyone working there supported us through every step. My daughter, who was understandably nervous, told me that the nurse, Deana, made sure that she was comfortable and helped calm her, while still assisting Dr. Bengelsdorf. My daughter also said that Dr. Bengelsdorf was very, calming, and very nice, and that he talked to her throughout the procedure, letting her know what was going to happen. In the meantime, the receptionist, Trina, and the manager, Sarah, both supported me while I waited. Then, the next morning, after my daughter had a chance to rest, we went back to the office. Dr. Bengelsdorf taught her how to pack and dress the wound. But more importantly, his words gave her the confidence she needed to care for it herself. Last night and this morning, she wasn't afraid, she knew what to do and she knew it wouldn't hurt. She was so proud of herself because she cleaned the area, changed the packing, and dressed it all... by herself. They explained everything, they were incredibly supportive, there were no unnecessary tests, and my daughter feels confident taking care of herself... an extraordinary experience. I am incredibly grateful. Oh... and by the way... they also ran on time!

However, I had to wait an hour until the doctor came into the room to see me. A bit of a long wait. Once in there she was efficient, calm, confident and competent as well as friendly and approachable. She explained problems she saw and treated the spots with gentleness. She also offered additional options for dealing with reducing the occurrence of cancerous spots. I definitely would recommend her and plan to continue seeing her as my dermatologist.

I'm not sure why they started frequently contacting me after my bad experience 5 years ago. I decided to look up my review and noticed it was gone from their Yelp site. I didn't realize companies could remove bad reviews. So I copied and pasted my review from 5 years ago. This company is more concerned about the money than the patient. Was referred to Dr. Pena for Mohs surgery and only went there because they told me that had availability in September. My records and pictures were sent and they were the only Mohs surgery place that needed me to come in and redo my appointment that I had with the referring physician. After waiting 50 minutes in the waiting room, the nurse called me back, took a picture (she acknowledged that they had received the picture from my referring doctor but said that way they wouldn't have to pull up the file) and asked if I was told about the procedure. I responded yes. She then checked and informed me that the earliest appointment was in December. Large bill for a 5 minute appointment considering they had all my information and I had to wait 50 minutes to even be seen.
