Fresh hoagie roll, toasted, juicy, tender steak, cheddar, grilled onions, bacon, bbq sauce. It was very good, I'll get it again. A side of crunchy, beer battered Onion Rings, and a Raspberry iced tea! Family had the burger, with onion, and cheese, a side of yummy beer battered fries. I arrived with a guest during Saturday brunch hour. Ordered a black coffee and water. Coffee taste was nice. Service was in a timely fashion. I ordered a Greek Omelette, made with egg whites, and side of waffle fries. Omelette and fries came out hot. Omelette was filling. Fries were seasoned and plentiful. Hasn't been the same since new owners took over but since all the other breakfast places in the area have been shutting down I started going back. I order a side of crispy bacon it was just starting to turn crisp but it was sitting in a pool of bacon (see pic). Menu has no mention of powdered sugar on French toast ordered it 5 times in past 2 months and never got it before was informed today that is how it comes unless asked. I really enjoyed the Pike Inn for breakfast, so much so that I went back for lunch and have since tried lunch two times and both times is met with disappointment. The restaurant has such a big menu that they really fail to make anything stick out. On my latest trip I ordered a club, but they didn't include bacon on it or the soup that the menu specifies is included. On my parents sandwich, the chicken avocado panini, there was neither avocado or was the sandwich pressed. My wife's gyro they brought to her, and then told her they had no tzatziki sauce, that should have been disclosed prior to making the sandwich... The temperature of the restaurant is freezing! It's like they don't believe there should be heat. The staff was also at odds, it seems as though there is a foreign family that bought the restaurant however some of the original wait staff remains, and they are at odds about what waiters should do. Honestly I would avoid this place unless you are going for breakfast. read more

Pike Inn used to have a very hometown feel. The waitresses would remember the customers and our drink orders, the would talk to us like we were old friends, which made the okay food worth the trip. Our favorite hostess, Douglas would sit and chat with us. She made us feel like we were part of her family, and we adopted her as part of ours. Ever since the new ownership, the laughter and welcoming atmosphere is non-existent. Also to mention, it seems as though the let go a majority of the staff that was once the only reason to go to Pike Inn. We will not be voluntarily choosing to go to Pike Inn again. It's a shame. P.S. the quality of food has gone downhill, and there are no longer condiments on the table. We feel like a pain to the staff because we are constantly asking for things like ketchup, mustard, etc. that should already be in the caddy. read more

Surprising gem of a traditional diner. You can get a good breakfast here or an excellent meatloaf plate. Wholesome food and friendly service. It's nothing fancy but quite charming, and a good value. It's the kind of dependable place you will want to come back to. Make sure you leave time to check some of the photos on the wall. Service and atmosphere was great!! Very comfortable for a nice breakfast, brunch, lunch!! I craved breakfast so I got the corned beef hash. Really bad service, waited over an hour for our food even though the diner was nearly empty. I guess I should've taken that as a bad sign because it was peak dinner hours. We had a very nice experience this evening dining at the Pike Inn. I had a breakfast meal. The French toast was very good, the side of ham was tasty, and the home fries were enormous. My wife had a sandwich and fries. She thoroughly enjoyed it and needed a box for take home. The restaurant wasn't busy but it was a week night. The service was impeccable. A classic diner, friendly people good food. I had the country fried steak and "hashbrowns", with sausage gravy. Honestly if the hashbrowns had been the real shredded potato kind and toss a couple of eggs on the dish this would have been unbeatable. Shelly's Pike has always been one of my favorites. Growing up, my nana and I always came here after Sunday morning church. Coming back 6+ years later, I still feel all of the homey & friendly vibes I felt back then. The service is fast, the food is hot, and the coffee is amazing. I ordered the Grilled Turkey bacon & Swiss sandwich and it was great! The only suggestion I would make is to not make it so buttery. My boyfriend got over easy eggs and they were cooked to his standards (which is hard to come by). The meals are slightly overpriced, but IMO, it's worth it. We were so hungry. Everything on the menu looked so good. I'm so happy they have Breakfast 24/7! We all got breakfast for dinner and it was delicious! I travel a lot for work and have eaten at a lot of great diners in eastern PA and NJ. I will say Shelley's is at the top of the list. Great food, generous helpings and friendly staff made an impromptu lunch with my wife a homerun. Burger was great as was my wife's sandwich. Onion rings were tender and NOT overly breaded and the fries were crispy. Food was hot when served. Worthwhile visit for lunch or dinner. Every time I have been to Shelly's it's been a great experience. If you're looking for good, local, home cooked food I would highly suggest this place. The waitresses are sweet and very attentive. We had a couple of Italian dishes, starting with Greek salads, on which the feta cheese was good and fresh. On a family trip from Pittsburgh to Sarris Candies in Canonsburg, we checked Yelp for a nearby restaurant. This was the place that seemed to fit us best. We invaded with a group of six kids(5yrs and under). The waitress didn't flinch, she was pleasant and professional but very personable. She tolerated us like a champ! She was so much more than helpful because of her attitude. She provided some great recommendations and we were all pleased. The food is best described as comfort food, we enjoyed it. I'm a frequent flier at the Pike Inn. It's reasonable, their homemade product is good and they make a great omelette that's not brown and over-cooked. They make a good meatloaf with gravy. Their fresh cut fries are very good, they somewhat remind me of Potato Patch fries from Kennywood. Service is always attentive and your food arrives quickly. It's a diner, expect diner food. As I said their homemade product is good, a lot of other items are not homemade. I enjoy it for breakfast primarily, stop on for lunch on occasion and once in a blue moon hit it for a quick dinner if I'm in the mood for it. I'm a huge fan of the decor and the building itself. I like how it is all stainless steel paying homage to the diners of yesteryear. I wish there were more places like it. It's a Canonsburg staple. Worth checking out. I can't say enough wonderful things about this great diner. The staff is exceptional and the food is great. I often dine alone and there is no awkward feeling that you get at other places. I can honestly say their cheesecakes and cakes are the best I have ever had. Their prices are extremely fair which is an added bonus. They have the best coffee and they never let your cup get empty.
