It doesn't matter what Jessica charges (PS, it's significantly less then $300/hour), it's worth it…read more To this, I'm sure the multiple American Idol finalists under her tutelage and countless other students past and present can attest. She is gentle and encouraging to meet you at whatever level you are, a truly loving person. If you're lucky enough to fit into her busy schedule then prepare to be both challenged and blessed.

Jessica Ford has been my daughter's singing coach for almost seven (7) years. My daughter started…read morewith Jessica when she was 12, I believe, after she had entered Jessica's "Sing-Off Competition" in Nashville, TN. When my daughter, Christina, met her they hit-it-off right away. I was skeptical about getting a singing coach for my daughter at such a young age, but I knew Christina had something special. I met with Jessica, and after an assessment with Christina, they began their journey together. Jessica started slowly with the basics and gradually progressed with Christina as fast as Christina could pick up the lessons. Christina will be 19 yrs old this year, and she and Jessica are still partners in voice and music. Jessica is what I would call, and I've seen another one of her client's call her the "Voice Whisperer." Jessica can listen to you sing and not only know whether the note was right, but she can tell what your throat, vocal cords, tongue, and everything else was doing when you hit that note the way you did. Jessica truly understands the instrument called "voice." She is also well verse, experienced, and connected in the music industry. She has taken my daughter's very raw talent and helped to nurture it, mature it, and polish it to a professional level. If you work with Jessica she is going to push you and challenge you to rise to a professional level... she is not a high school music teacher... Jessica is a pro, has high standards, and she will drive her clients to professional levels too. Jessica is also one of the most professional business women I've met. There are no surprises with Jessica, and as a business woman myself I really appreciate that. I've always know what I was getting in vocal coaching services from her, and she also made sure I understood what was expected of Christina and me (Mom.) Our relationship is have turned into a very strong one and I rely on Jessica for all things music when it comes to my daughter, Christina. Jessica is also just good people! There have been occasions where we needed advice when my daughter started getting move advanced as a singer and started getting into other competitions and high profile performance opportunities. Jessica would advise, counsel, and if she knows, she would share inside secrets to help Christina to position herself for the greatest success possible. I love Jessica like a family member now. Christina loves Jessica so much. You will get more than just vocal coaching from her. You'll get a mentor, a counselor, a teacher, an encourager, a supporter, and vocal ability you never thought you had.

I heart Katya. I…read morefirst met Katya last October, and have been taking on-and-off lessons with her (with weekly lessons during spring/audition season of this year). Katya is a legit opera singer who effectively teaches singers of all levels (beginners to advanced), ages and musical types (e.g. opera, musical theater, pop). When I first came to Katya, I never had private singing lessons before and did not know what a head voice sound like--I only had a chest voice that I often pushed. Katya changed that and my range has increased by almost an octave; I went from an alto to a soprano. She works patiently with her students, customizing her lessons to what they need most. Also, she records every lesson and at the end of the lesson, she saves it onto students' USB so they can listen to it and practice at home. There are many other pluses to being her student. She will notify students of opportunities to perform--she'd sometimes set up student recitals or invite students to sing at various events. If you have another voice teacher (for example, because you're an actor and voice is part of your curriculum), she'll work with what you've learned in that class so that your ideas about voice aren't conflicted. I'm a bit bummed that I haven't had as many chances to work with her in the past few months due to the nature of our schedules, but if you can get a first session with her, snatch it!

The range I saw was from sale items at 49.99 up to 200+, they have a good, moderate amount of choices at each level, with different brands and accompanying acessories! My ukelele is a soprano, a great beginner ukelele I was practicing with, got it for $75 with tax and a carrying bag included in my purchase, if I remember correctly, tag price was $69.99 I did ask if there was something similar to a brand/type of ukelele I started my practice with but I was then getting sold onto the more expensive pieces that I didn't have experience with and didn't ask for so that was a miss for me. Wish I got more of a relevant recommendation but the workers were sweet, they let us browse by ourselves for a good amount of time before stepping in (which good for me because I needed time to think, compare, and browse). When we went, there were a handful of other customers inside the store, it's located in a small shopping center but the store is bigger inside than it appears on the outside. The parking situation was just okay, not bad, could use a tad bit more space, we went ~1p the parking lot was full minus 2-3 spots but I noticed cars came and went from the time we got there until we left so it seems like there's a couple spots free at any given time due to the traffic coming in and out for small errands. Lots of instruments and accessories to be found inside and the workers seem to be happy to help find what is needed! Pretty well organized inside to find what you need on your own though, I was able to find the ukeleles quickly.
