I paid $475 to see a hormone specialist but was treated with apparent "one size fits all" recommendations. For example, within minutes of talking to Dr. Coe, she told me i should be eating 800-1200 calories/day because she said I need to lose 10-20lbs. She made this recommendation based solely on my age, height & weight. She did not ask for any other information. I was wearing a long skirt so she couldn't know my body type, workout routine, eating habits, bloodwork, metabolic rate...etc. (I work out 2-3 hrs/day & have muscular legs & could lose 5lbs) If I followed her recommendation, I would be starving myself & wouldn't have energy to last for 2- 3 hrs of 2-man beach volleyball. She was incredibly arrogant & barely allowed me to speak a word as she rattled through what seemed like a memorized lecture. I finally got my phone out & showed her my blood work after she told me I needed to be taking vitamin D. My bloodwork shows my vitamin D levels are too high & my Primary & I have been working to lower this the past couple years to avoid Hypercalcacemia. She finally looked at my supplements & bluntly stated I shouldn't be taking any of them, without asking "why" I take any. I have resolved many of my health issues with these supplements. From left field, Dr Coe blurted that I shouldn't eat processed food. OMG! I don't. I regularly see a nutritionalist who has been helping devise healthy eating habits based on my DNA, bloodwork, health, & lifestyle. I can share many more examples but will digress. Dr. Coe did not offer anything fact or science based on who I am or what I do. Everything she said was an assumption. After my visit, I contacted the office & requested at least a partial refund as I paid an exorbitant cost for specialized care and I received basic formulas based on the average woman. Her response came in an email claiming she had spent 80 hrs prior to my visit reading up on me so her cost was validated. Being that I had to constantly interject to correct her false statements anout my healthcare such as showing her my bloodwork results so she could type it in her computer while I read it to her, I had to look up my last menstrual cycle & colonoscopy dates, explain my issues & solutions with my glucose levels, my workout routines, eating habits,..etc. (all of this is in my medical records),....either her memory is not functioning or she is full of it. Either way, I lost $475. and didn't receive a single ounce of trustworthy advice. Very disappointing. BTW, notice her website only has 1 review for 2026. read more
