Two sides that have a bar and air-conditioning and the is middle is the covered outdoor side. I like the middle because I get cold easily. Unfortunately for me is the smokers section also. I highly recommend the chicken wings. That is what i normally get. They are good. Today I had the chips and salsa. I don't recommend it. It was all tomatoes no onions, cilantro, garlic or anything else. The corn nuggets tasted good. The food service was a little slow. The restaurant looked understaffed. We passed Shenanigans and decided to stop in - Very glad we did! A great selection to choose from on the menu and also offer daily specials. My son ordered the Mahi Francaise and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our server stated that the owner had caught a swordfish that day and was offering it as a special - Say no more! It was fresh, flaky, juicy and perfectly seasoned. They are open until 4am on Friday and Saturday, serving drinks and delicious food. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The tiki area is really cool! I also noticed that they have an "all ages" dining room, for families with younger children. Subject Formal Complaint Regarding My Experience at Shananigan's Dear John, I am writing to formally express my disappointment about what happened during my visit to Shananigan's in Dania Beach yesterday. I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and I came with my brother simply to relax and enjoy a meal. I never expected to leave feeling humiliated, disrespected, and unwelcome. Our bill was approximately $113. I paid the bill and left Casey, our server, a $15 tip. I understand that 18% or more is common today, but a tip is ultimately the customer's choice. After my brother went outside and I came out of the bathroom, Casey approached me and asked whether I didn't like her service. I told her that her service was very good. She then asked me why I had only left her approximately 13% and told me that I should know better because the norm today is 18% and up. She also told me that she would never serve me again. I was completely shocked. I had not complained about her service, and I had actually told her that I thought her service was very good. I could not understand why I was being confronted and criticized over the amount of my tip. I asked to speak with you, and when I explained what happened, you were sympathetic. You also told me that there had been a previous problem involving the same waitress. You asked me to wait outside while you spoke with Casey. At that point, I believe management should have immediately separated Casey from the situation and sent her home or at minimum removed her from interacting with me. Instead, the situation was allowed to continue and escalate. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, I went back inside looking for you. Casey then began yelling at me to get out of the restaurant. Another waitress also became involved and called me names in front of you and Casey. At that point, I felt like I was being ganged up on by multiple employees rather than having my complaint handled professionally. I want to acknowledge my own part in this. I was extremely hurt, angry, and overwhelmed by the way I was being treated, and I used an inappropriate word toward Casey. I know that was wrong, and I take responsibility for saying it. However, I believe it is important to understand the context: it happened after I had already been confronted about my tip, told that I would never be served again, yelled at to leave, and then verbally attacked by another employee. I also want to be honest about my impression of the management response. You appeared sympathetic, but you also seemed unsure about how to handle the situation. I believe that once you learned there had already been a previous issue involving Casey, stronger action should have been taken immediately to prevent the situation from escalating further. What has hurt me even more is the way the situation was later portrayed following my Yelp review. I felt that I was being made out to be the problem because I used an inappropriate word, while the events that led up to that moment were being overlooked. I am not complaining because of a $15 tip. This is about how I was treated as a longtime customer. I believe no customer should be confronted, shamed, or criticized by a server because they did not leave the tip the server expected. And once management becomes involved, the responsibility should be to de-escalate the situation and protect everyone involved from further confrontation--not allow multiple employees to become involved and make the customer feel surrounded or attacked. I am willing to take responsibility for my inappropriate language. I am asking that the restaurant also take responsibility for how this situation was handled by its employees and by management. I would appreciate a serious response addressing what happened, including why Casey was allowed to continue confronting me after management became aware of the situation, why another employee was allowed to call me names in front of management, and what steps will be taken to prevent another customer from experiencing something similar. I came to your restaurant expecting to have a pleasant evening. Instead, I left feeling humiliated and treated as though I was the problem. After being a loyal customer for years, that was extremely disappointing. I would like to get total refund of $138 that I spent in your restaurant to be verbally attacked. I have been going to Shenanigans for over 26 years. Love the place. However, my neighbor took her brother there 8/20/2026 ( Thursday ) approx. 6PM. Their bill was $111.00. She tipped $15.00. Service was average. The server was CASEY. She approached my neighbor ( Rachel ) and asked: "were you not happy with the service"? Rachel said the service was "okay". CASEY said: "you only left me a $15.00 tip. You should have left me at least $22.00". Another waitress joined CASEY in the argument with Rachel. They ganged up on her & told her to never come back to the restaurant based on a $15.00 Tip. Patrick Utter if you read this - you need to jump in and tell the servers this should have never happened. Love this spot... my first time there and a good sports bar atmosphere. They have indoor and outside seating options. We went early so not really busy for reservation. I'm not sure if they accept reservations anyway. The service was goo, very attentive and the food was in point. They have a lot of options that are actually good. Not just your typical bar food but everything from pizza to sandwiches and salads. They do have televisions which is what you'd expect from a sports bar. Parking is easy as they have a lot. Haven't been in over 20 years but a bunch of friends were looking for a place to meet on St. Patrick's Day and what better location than a place names "Shenanigans". The name says it all. When walking in I was really surprised by the sheer size of the place. It was huge! It was about half full and it had a great atmosphere. We were then given tablets which had the menus to be viewed which I thought to be a fantastic way of doing things. I was taken back by the limited menu that this establishment was offering for the day but being a past restaurant manager, I'm quite aware why such things are done. Get the food out fast, accurate, and hot. However, there in lies the problem. Despite having a limited amount of options (with none being all to difficult to put together--fish and chips, a burger, and of course the corned beef and cabbage) the food arrived barely being edible. First, let me give this place a pointer for their future Irish holiday-- when slicing the corned beef for the sandwiches, it should be thinner than the corned beef used for the platter. Otherwise it is too difficult to bite through and to chew. Additionally, please offer the traditional Reuben Sandwich with saurkraut and dressing and not just an undergrilled corned beef sandwich where the cheese isn't even melted. My wife ordered a medium rare burger which came out so well done and dry, we had to send it back. A party of 8 and not one person finished their plate. When surveying the group, only 1 liked their dish (cuddos to whoever prepared the shepherds pie). While the service was fine and the atmosphere above average--the food will ensure this will not ba a location my friends and I will frequent. I guess you learn that not every Bar with an Irish name knows how to celebrate St. Patrick's day. Overall, a huge disappointment. read more

They have a big menu with plenty of options. I chose the Philly Wrap, which was tasty; the fries were seasoned and crunchy. They have a full bar if beer is not your thing. There is additional covered outdoor seating and a private parking lot that does fill up for busier game days, so get there early, if you want a bar seat.
