Years ago I will come to Nick's and go out to the beach in the summertime in front of Nick's and enjoy the beach. And then walk back to Nick's get some margaritas some conch fritters or some peel and eat shrimp and that was the highlight of the day. It's been a few years since I've been here and I guess what they say is correct, nothing stays the same. I ordered me a margarita and a order of comforters which is usually what I get they were always so good. This time the margarita was good taste about the same as I remember it. The conch fritters we're good but not as great as I remember them. If you are on the beach visiting especially in the summertime you want something to munch on a cold drink then yes I would definitely recommend next for some small bites. read more

Took a late night/ early morning walk down the beach, and got a bit thirsty and since it was 2am not much was open. But then we found Nicks an oasis with a walk up window! We didn't even have to go inside. Ordered a Mango daiquiri with a float of Hennessey it was perfect. Bar tender was fun and attentive. Beautiful view from the bar. It's a spot for the locals and obviously for loads of people vacationingdown here. It holds a dear place in my heart at I've been here dozens upon dozens of times, on and off for more than several years. Any time I've been here the service had always been great. They've always been very happy & hospitable. They're always very active and fast. You can sit inside, or at one of the windows inside looking out at the ocean and/or people watching. You can even sit outside at one of the tables on the boardwalk and enjoy the sunny weather and the food or cocktails. It's always been a great spot to meet up. The food is good, not great, but great service, fantastic location, location location with reasonable prices. Very fresh salads & crisp cold cocktails. They've been here for years and probably will be for plenty of more years to come. Food was great but the service was absolutely horrible. Probably the worst service I've ever experienced. Our server was more intestested in sitting outside with a couple guys at a table. Was never asked if I wanted another drink. My husband ordered broccoli, it never came and by the time he was almost finished with the meal we told them to forget it. For 2 sandwiches and fries, water and a pina colada that was $60 I expected more. Very disappointing to say the least. We will not return on our next trip to Hollywood. read more

We stopped here for a bite to eat....there were not many 4 or 5 star review businesses on the Broadwalk, so this place was a big contender. We got a table outside and our server was very nice and efficient. We got some Mahi fingers (lightly battered and fried) and a burger. The mahi fingers were not crispy at all and they were very bland...even dipping them in the tartar sauce helped... The burger was not bad, juicy and large...the fries were crispy. It was 1:30 in the morning so I wasn't expecting the best service but I was really hungry and they're the only place on the beach open late. Walked in and sat down. It was not busy at all with maybe three tables and 5 people at the bar and 3 people sitting outside. I was waiting for a friend to arrive so when he walked in he suggested sitting at the bar. The bartender took one look at us and turned around to take care of other customers that were already there. No big deal we sat and waited. After about 15 mins of waiting and nobody greeting us or at least saying "Well be right with you" we decided to walk out. My hunger got the best of me so I convinced my friend to try again. I sat by the door where I previously saw a waitress fixing her napkins so I knew that was her table. I get it...it's late and she wants to go home but the place dont close for about another 2 hours. So she ignored us and hid in the kitchen. Then I sat in the middle of the restaurant where everyone had a clear view of us. Again nothing. I wanted to have the dozen oysters, conch fritters, and at least two Bloody Marys. I had no idea what my friend wanted but we had enough of the staff walking by and not talking to us so we left pissed off and hungry and ended up eating at IHOP. read more

NICKS BAR crazy great location on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. We love walking or riding our bikes around the shops on the boardwalk and always ending up at the corner bar, yes Nick's.... Stayed in Hollywood on the Broadwalk the night before a cruise. Has the day to walk around and pop into a few places. We weren't quite ready for dinner yet but wanted a drink and a snack. Popped in to grab a drink and check out the menu. The place has an awesome location. Love the view. We ordered a few drinks and some honey garlic wings. Wow were they delicious. I was shocked. So much garlic and crispy as can be. The picture is magazine worthy for the look of these things and the amazing lighting from the beach. The fries were delicious too! Bloody Mary review. The coaster read something like... try or world famous bloody Mary so naturally being a bloody Mary reviewer from Wisconsin I had to try it. She's a less than 1 star bloody, if I could've given it a negative star I would. One sip is all it took and I handed it back. Not recommended. Basic bloody, house mix of some sort, 2 olives $18... I wasn't charged. The bartenders were amazing, 2 of them had an actual personalities and could hold a conversation! We'll be back just not for the bloody... I ordered the Mahi Mahi Caesar and the hubs ordered fish and chips. The salad was not a classic Caesar. The dressing was very good but it wasn't Caesar. No croutons, no parm. The fish was flavorful and dry, dry, dry. The fish and chips were disappointing. The cod was in tiny pieces with a lot of breading. The fries were so-so. Well my experience with this place was just that, an EXPERIENCE! The young lady who helped my table stated she wasn't our server and she still decided to help me take the table's order. After forgetting to put my order in, she comes back to my table and yells at me as if I was in the wrong. Once we finally received our food after 25 mins and speaking with the manager, all he offered us was a sorry and we still had to pay the check in full. The onion rings were nice and crunchy, motz sticks gave a great cheese pull and my burger was HUGE!! We had 4 in our party and it was more than enough for all of us; you definitely get your monies worth. My drink was just ok imo. I had ordered a mud slide and it seemed like they made it separate from the alcohol and then just poured a shot on top which made it super watered down so idk if I would recommend anything frozen.
