Three egg omelette with the freshest spinach, mushrooms, onions, red & green peppers, and tomatoes.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the owner who was washing the dishes. No job is too small for Shep who wears many hats in the kitchen. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the place was extremely clean. We were thrilled to try the burnt ends which we had been craving since we heard about this place the week prior. After a taste of their famous burnt ends, my husband had the half rack of ribs and they were cooked to perfection. This came with two side sides, and they have the best coleslaw! I had the three egg vegetable omelette with the freshest vegetables, which seemed to come directly from farm to table. After we ate, we took a stroll around the corner to go visit the boardwalk, it was a beautiful day! We're looking forward to our next visit with friends and family.

Loved this great spot in Little Washington. I came for breakfast with my brother while we were visiting and was greeted and seated promptly by the awesome waitress. I got French toast and it was so delicious. This place has a low frills diner feel, but I was glad to be introduced to it as I am always looking for good breakfast places. Recommended

Always prompt service, simple ambience, and inconsistent food. I go there frequently and generally don't have any concerns. Maybe this is common with some restaurants but it seems like there's always something not available - I realize brisket is rare biscuits? This is my only Issue.

The rave reviews brought me to Shep's Grill for lunch as I thought it'd be similar to the diners I'd been recently. I was greeted when I arrived and told there was seating in the back room. I did notice the health score which was lower than I usually go. The staff is friendly and remembers the regulars and their drink orders. They are even given the breakfast and lunch menu when everyone else just gets the lunch menu. The restaurant has a casual vibe and the decor is basic. I ordered the catfish nuggets as I hadn't seen that anywhere else before. The sides were not listed on the menu so the waitress had to go through a list of them. I just went with the fries. The nuggets were a little too greasy for my liking. The food was ok but nothing I'd return again for.

To all the locals out there, hats off! When I'm in Little Washington, North Carolina, I make it a point to stop by and see my chef & owner friend Jason at Sheps Grill. What a fantastic little hometown place that everybody wishes they had in their neighborhood. With breakfast and lunch choices that are abundant and cooked to order, you will appreciate the quaint & casual environment and the excellent food and great family style atmosphere. One of my favorites is the vanilla cinnamon French toast and the cheese grits. I've also enjoyed the smoked brisket on Thursdays and I've had the opportunity to have a BLT at lunch as well as their cheeseburgers and tater tots. This is a Hoppin little place so get there early and make some new friends over a great hot meal while you enjoy some of the best that little Washington has to offer!

We love this dinner for its quality food and amazing people. On our way to Virgina Beach, we swing by just right before they close (by noon - 1pm). So make sure you call before arrival to see if they still open. Dont look at their hour. Food are great and good portion. They cook right in front of us. The bacon pancake is very interesting. I wish to come back another day.

Shep's is a wonderful space. Casual, friendly, accepting of all. Very clean, both comfort food and healthy options. Servers are so kind and helpful to the elderly. The service and quality of food can not be beat. They use fresh spinach in their omelettes and keep the coffee cups filled. My kind of place. My favorites are brisket dishes, their crazy good biscuits, Eggs Benedict

After numerous trips I still can't put my finger on what exactly is done differently at Blu to outperform so many fantastic restaurants. It's as if they have somehow managed the flavors of a Michelin restaurant with plating that isn't so... boring and sterile. Portion sizes are more than adequate, none of that one taste nonsense here. The service is always fantastic, professional and friendly. The owner is occasionally willing to share recipes with you and has never disappointed me with a recommendation. The cocktails? Just "wow". Perhaps what makes this place so fabulous is that they manage to do so well in so many categories. I'll consider that more in depth next time I make a reservation which may just have to be today. Speaking of, if you don't make a reservation, don't be disappointed when you don't have a seat. This isn't a place you can always walk in and sit down. They don't have many tables and it's obvious that they aren't the type of place to sit more people than they can take care of. Take some time, enjoy a drink and one of the best meals you'll have in the area. You won't regret it!

They have a nice selection of cocktails, many of which seem crafted to honor the local vibe. I had a cocktail containing a house distilled gin. Delicious. They also let my husband sample two of the house distilled gins before he ordered a gin and tonic. He was very happy. Kennedy, our friendly, knowledgeable server, brought out complimentary cornbread with brown butter/molasses butter and tomato soup shooters. Yum. They offer two- and three-course price fix menus, and for a few dollars more, you can make it a wine pairing. My husband did that, and I ordered off of the regular menu. His collard green salad was sensational! He couldn't stop raving about it even as he was finishing it up. His second course was filet mignon, and it was the most savory, tasty filet I've ever had! I had lemon risotto with asparagus and tomatoes - it was delicious as well. We were at the Hackney to celebrate closing on our house in Washington, and we made the perfect choice for a celebratory dinner. We will be back!

I had just left an adult family pajama party and I got a little lit. I ordered my usual, Texas bacon cheesesteak melt with hashbrowns and orange juice. Then I proceeded to use the restroom. I planned to do so first but was occupied. I decided to sit at the bar as I came solo. When I returned from the restroom, my OJ was ready in a plastic cup. I noticed most of the staff i holiday attire. The exception was my server who was in typically Waffle House attire. My Server assumed I was ordering to go. I noticed the cook putting my order in a to go tray and I asked a different server if I could eat here and she said yes. By the time it was all said and done, my food was already packaged up. I sat inside and ate. My food was ready within 5 minutes. Joshua was the cook. Around 2:50pm, I ordered a waffle lol. By this time, it was just me in there. I bought some Touch Tunes credits and was vibing. ---- I went back the next day (Christmas) around 12:20pm as they were really the only place open. It was really busy. Luckily, there were two seats at the bar for my son and I. Our waitress was Lakeland (maybe spelled incorrectly) Around 12:25pm, I went ahead and ordered my son food. He got a kids waffle with peanut butter and chocolate chips plus bacon. At 12:27pm, I ordered my food. I got the all star with hashbrowns, blueberry waffle, and bacon. My son received his food at 12:30pm. The bacon looked perfectly crispy while his waffle was over cooked. I received my food at 12:38pm. Not gonna lie, I was initially concerned about my waffle because it looked like mold lol. BUT, it tasted fine lol. The Bacon was crispy and delicious. The toast was great as well. Another good experience!
