Public Service Announcement I took my SUV to Sevy Auto (highly recommended) to get an oil change to find out... At almost 17,000 miles my 2024 Nissan Pathfinder needs brakes and tires soon. At Sevy's advisement, I called Nissan to see if they would cover this odd occurrence. The salesman that we use was understanding and advised something similar happened with his daughter's pathfinder, so he was curious on what they were going to say. After multiple calls, we were able to speak to the GM who advised that Nissan puts "cheap breaks and tires on the new cars" basically to just get them sold and its now our responsibility. I'm sorry sir, for a 40k to 60k SUV, nothing should be cheap to "get them out of the door". Give me a Brake Nissan! read more

Went to Sheridan Nissan this week for two different issues. First thing was kinda sorta taken care of April 1st. Went back on Thursday to address second issue. Which was done promptly. Second issue not so much. Had to remind them to check electrical issues which they did came back that is was ok. Well today the issue they looked into happened. Truck wouldn't start in the parking lot. Exactly what I told them it was doing. Started up after sitting there for a while. Then again after going to NJ. Changed the fob key battery still the same results. Probably only going to go to Sheridan Nissan for my lifetime oil change. Nothing else. Done 8 year customer. I bought my car and have had it serviced there for 12 years. They've lost me as a customer, just as I was getting ready to buy a new one. They left me a TEXT MESSAGE that my car had roaches and mold and they couldn't work on it. THEY DID NOT ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I TRIED TO GET INFORMATION, nor did they return my texts or messages I left on their answering machine. My husband, who works with insect infestations for the state of NJ and a well known university, drove from work to see what they were talking about. He found NO EVIDENCE of anything but messy floorboards. No bugs, no mold. I have their diagnostic and their notes and will take my car elsewhere to someone who is not a snowflake. I have suspicions that my car was not serviced because of my political leanings. They were rude to my husband. They have not reached out to make amends, even though I went in and spoke to the manager. If I could rate with 0 stars, I would. I purchased a new 2023 Nissan pathfinder in February 2024. It had less than 4000 miles on the car when I purchased it since I purchased it I've been back-and-forth to the Nissan service center with the fact that the radio console goes completely out. It goes completely dark. This means I have no navigation no back up camera. Nothing I was told six weeks ago they were gonna replace this radio now without a phone call or anything. I'm back in their office and they told me that the radio could not be replaced. They have to go through some other methods and then they'll tell me if they can replace this consul because this is Nissan practice. This car is less than a year old and it like I said it had less than 4000 miles when I purchased it and now has 7000 miles on it , I've been complaining about this issue for the past four months since I purchased first was the problem that I was seeing now I'm now I'm being told that it's another issue and because of the kind of car I have they have to go through this completely different process which I wasn't informed about previously they're putting me in a loaner, but they want me to pay for the loaner or excuse me a deposit for the loaner don't know when I'm going to get my car back the loaner car that they're actually giving me which cannot fit the four kids that I have with the two large car seats. This is the worst customer service that I've paid. I will never purchase a Nissan nor will I offer anyone else my references for Nissan. The customer service is horrible here at the Nissan Sheridan and Newcastle Delaware, but it's also even more horrible with the 800 number to the manager and the service department. Basically the nonchalant attitude was oh well we didn't know ahead of time. Nobody called me for customer service. It should've been this person. It should've been that person, but in the meantime, I'm the one that was without a car and without the radio console or the navigation for something that I'm paying for. read more

Do not take your car here. They refuse to fix your car if they know they can get money from you. I have paid $2000 to Sheridan Nissan and the same codes are thrown every week. I picked up my car 1 week ago and today the same throttle control codes are thrown and the car dies. I have spent enough excessive amount of money, they do not guarantee or warranty their work. They just charge you whatever they want every time you bring your car in and they do not fix the issue. They have bled me dry of all my money. Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a car dealer. The General Manager Ed dropped the ball. I was scheduled to take delivery of a fleet vehicle. I was notified by my fleet management company that my new company car has arrived at the dealer. I figured I would still wait a day or two before I heard from the dealership that I could come pick up the car. I hadn't heard anything from the dealer so since I was in the for work I would stop by and see if I could take delivery. Upon entry I was greeted by a new salesperson. He then directed me to Ed and another salesperson at the rear of the showroom floor. I announced who I was and what I was there for along with the company I worked for. I was then directed to another area of the dealership where I was told "I'm not sure why you were told to come here". I then walked back to the rear of showroom where Ed was. Again I stated who I was and why I was there. I explained to Ed I was notified that my new vehicle arrived. Ed told me at that time the vehicle had just arrived that morning and I couldn't take delivered because I had to wait for "paperwork" from the manufacturer to be released. I was told to come back in two weeks or I would be contacted. After 2 1/2 weeks I called to follow up on the status of the car. I was told Ed wasn't in and he was the only person I could speak to in regards to my fleet vehicle. I was told he would arrive later that day. I left a message inquiring about the status of the car. I never received a call from Ed. I waited to more days then. I Called again only to be told Ed was the only person I could speak to and he wasn't in. At that point I contacted my fleet management company to get them involved. My fleet management company told me they had made attempts to contact the dealer in regards to the car. They were under the impression I already received the car. I waited for another 2-3 weeks. No response for the dealer. I then decided after a month and a half to try contacting the dealer once again. I was directed to Ed's (General Manager) voicemail. I left a detailed message of who I was and what company I work for. I also stare I had visited the dealership previously in regards to the car. Later that day I received a call from another salesperson. I explained how much time had passed since I was told the car was at the dealer and I had to wait for paperwork. At that time the salesperson admitted the dealership has dropped the ball and apologized. He then told me I could come in and pick Up the vehicle. The motto at Sheridan dealerships should be go see Joe so I can lie and cheat you out of as much as I can because that is how the whole business model is set up. Joe thinks we are on a main highway so there are a lot of suckers like me and maybe you that will stop by. The service manager is a rude liar and Chip Sheridan who I tried to deal with is a rude cheater who could care less about his customers because that is the business model he set up. I went there with a flashing seat belt light and they said they fixed it with a air bag control unit they said you are under warranty and I asked them how long my warranty was good for and they said until May 2026. A couple weeks later the light came back on and I took it back and they said your warranty expired 8 days ago and you owe us 5,700 to fix it, I said the shop misdiagnosed the problem and it should be fixed because it was under warranty at that time. They said no you pay this time because we fix the first time you have to pay and fix it the second time we will not stand behind our work. I got Nissan Corp involved and they made me pay half and crooked Joe got off paying nothing. If Chip Sheridan does reply to this post take what is says with grain of salt because he knows nothing about real customer service or does he want to lets remember he did get the company from his father otherwise he would be a lot boy washing cars. My 2017 Versa I bought from Sheridan 5 years ago brand new. The car is dependable. However, on Sunday I could not start the car and thought there was a problem with the ignition. Bill in the service department called later Monday afternoon and said they were so busy they didn't know when they could get to my car. I reached out to the owner and he got the manager Ed on the issue. The next day the problem solved and I got my car back. Fortunately is was a worn out key that was replaced and I got my car Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Thank you Sheridan for getting my car back in a timely manner. read more

It was my misfortune to come to Sheridan on January 15. I wanted to trade in my 2017 Altima that I brought from the establishment before. After trying out a new Altima, They tried to rob me on the the trade in value of my Altima stating that I could only receive $2000 and would not budge. They also tried to charge me more than the sticker price for a new car. I told the salesman that I was not interested and left the dealership. I went home and checked my wallet. My drivers license was not on my person. I called the dealership and was told that they forgot to give me back my license. Upon coming in I was pressured again to buy an overpriced vehicle. I had to eventually yell to have my license returned. I would not suggest for anyone to go to Sheridan Nissan. Seven days later I purchased a new car from Porter Nissan and have been happy ever since. read more

I dropped my sister's car off at this dealer on a Thursday. Because I didn't have an appointment I was told that by Michael that latest by Friday mid-day I was going to have a evaluation result. It's Saturday, I called Bill, the same person that on Friday told me that by Saturday morning it was going to be looked at by the senior tech, tells me that perhaps Monday they may look at it in a very rude manner(as if they are doing me a favor; I'm playing!). I am picking up the car to get it service somewhere else. Stay true to what you say. My time is valuable just like theirs. I don't like the customer service at all. Take your money somewhere you will be treated as a valued customer before buying and after buying. I bought a car here in September and a few weeks later I took it back as I had an issue with the clutch. I was told that it had exceeded the miles required by 9 miles, the miles I drove from the house to the place. They also told me it might be due to driving it wrong. I have always driven stick shifts, so I knew what I was talking about. A few weeks later the clutch exploded, and I had to take it to the mechanic. The mechanic words were "this car was a dupe, they sold you a dupe car" since it still had the temp tag. The car fax was fake as someone would have caught this issue. I had to pay $4300 to fix the clutch and other things that exploded with the clutch exploding. Still on tempt tag. I went to go get the tags as I got a call that they were ready, and I paid for these earlier. They gave me the registration and I asked where the tags were. The receptionist said they were under the temp tag. If I had seen them, I would have known that, and not ask for them. But she was very rude about this. I give 1 star as I love the car, but everyone here is just rude and only willing to sell you a car even if it's a dupe car but after you buy you do not matter. take your money where you will be valued all through. read more

I just want to say this was the only nissan dealership that I actually enjoyed going to! People were very helpful and nice, didn't make you feel you had to get more work done right away! I don't usually post a bad reviews, however I felt obligated to forewarn others. The sales manager Brandon Harrison was having a bad day I guess, because although he was not my salesman he felt the need to show he was in charge, upstaging and talking over him, additionally he spent more effort trying to downplay my trade than selling me the vehicle I was looking at. At one point he even told me how much my auto draft was written for, this was of great concern because I never disclosed the amount nor showed him the draft which was in an envelope among papers I left on the salesman's desk, his cocky attitude, condescending language, was at the least unprofessional and offensive. Not to mention trying presenting me with a worksheet which would have me paying over 33k for a 2014 truck with my trade. And just a final note. We were traveling from Maine to Delaware when our car broke down and we luckily limped in to Sheridan Nissan. Everyone at the dealership were friendly and sympathetic to our situation. They enabled us to leave our car with them for repair while we continued on with our week's vacation. The staff in the repair department were kind to our cranky children giving them snacks and distraction as we waited to hear the assessment on our vehicle, and the gentleman at the detailing shop even gave our dog some water as we waited outside. They gave us a loaner car so we could enjoy our vacation then pick up our car on the way back. When all was said and done, they were very fair to us in what they charged...especially knowing we had been stranded and really had no other options. We are SO THANKFUL to the kind and fair people at Sheridan Nissan for all they did for us. We would recommend them highly. read more

Watch out for the documentation fee. It is triple anywhere else.They will remove it (if you push hard),but it shouldn't be there in the first place, so they really haven't remove anything. Go see Joe? I would run from Joe as fast as I can. It's a shame that senior leadership turned a perfect car-buying experience into a nightmare. I have never written a bad review before. I want to start by saying that Bob (our Salesman), Matt (our Used-Car Sales Manager), and Tiffani (our Finance Manager) were a pleasure to work with. Full disclaimer: I'm a MA resident and was looking to purchase a very specific Acura (yes, not a Nissan) from Sheridan Nissan. After talking with Bob for over a week, my Wife and I drove a rental down from Massachusetts (5+ hour drive) to look at the car on Saturday, 2/13/21. Bob had the car detailed and sitting on the showroom floor when we arrived! The car ended up being exactly what we wanted, and we had a deal! I made it clear that MA had a 7-day window to register a vehicle. I offered to register the car myself, but was turned down due to taking a partial loan on the car. Totally understandable. Tiffani made finances quick and painless, in less than 30 min. Bob was eager to get us on the road for our 5+ hour drive home, prior to an impending ice storm. My wife said if we were to buy a Nissan, it had to be from Bob at Sheridan Nissan. Life was good. Fast forward about 2 weeks. I drove the car during the 1st week, and sporadic after the 2nd (due to the 7-day requirement). We drove my wife's car when needed. After about 3 weeks, I contacted Bob, and he immediately gave me the contact info for someone in the Titling Office (name not to be disclosed). After reaching out, I was told that my paperwork would be sent out to the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) that day, and that I would receive tracking info from FedEx, which I never received. (Week 4) I get a phone call from the same person saying that the RMV would not accept the FedEx mailer, and asked if it could be sent to my house to register the car myself. Upset and frustrated, I agreed. Due to COVID, the registry only accepts appointments; luckily, I scored one for that Friday. I took time out of work, waited 2 hours at the registry to find out the paperwork was wrong. (Week 5) I call 'unnamed person' several times, leaving voicemails, and I receive nothing back. I felt like I was being ignored after receiving the paperwork; I still haven't heard back. The vehicle was listed wrong on the paperwork, and it was not signed by the insurance company. After a 1+ hour phone call with the insurance company, the paperwork was finally complete. I was able to book another RMV appointment for that Friday, and was eager to finally put this past me. I took more time out of work, waited 3 hours at the RMV, and found the dealership forgot to put the power of attorney paperwork in the packet. I had to plead with the manager to let me register my car. She ended up allowing it, and I was finally legal and able to drive my car...But not before paying late fees! I go to get my car inspected the next day (Saturday, 3/27/21), exactly 6 weeks after purchasing it. The car failed emissions! This is still an ongoing battle, which I yet to know the end. To top it all off, and the reason why I am writing this review: I contacted Mr. Ed Crane (General Manager of Sheridan Nissan) to ask about reimbursement for the late fees, as well as potential reimbursement for some of my time lost at work, since I had paid Sheridan to register the car for me. Mr. Crane said he was not going to pay for my time, happiness, or late fees, and that no dealer has a policy for my situation. He was rude, condescending, and made me feel like I was worth nothing to him. I had nothing but good things to say about Sheridan Nissan until Mr. Crane decided that a few hundred dollars stood in the way of making things right. It is extremely disheartening knowing that I mean nothing to this dealership after spending over $32k, driving 10+ hours to work specifically with this dealership, and spending over 10 hours fixing their mistakes. I'll give Mr. Crane another shot if he wants to correct them, but until then, we would never consider going back, and I advise you not to if you value your respect. read more

On 9/21/19 my husband purchased a used car from Sheridan Nissan, 114 S. DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720. He emailed them a few weeks later to inform them that the car was leaking oil. A few days before he was scheduled to take the car, he had an accident. When he took the car to them, he was told that the accident caused the oil leak and that they would not honor the warranty (to fix the oil leak that had been reported PRIOR to the accident). He spoke with a salesman (Brandon), who was VERY rude and unprofessional. He repeatedly told my husband that the accident caused the leak and that it was on him. The salesman said there was nothing he could do and assured my husband that he never knew of any issues that were reported about the car. Brandon also spoke with an agent at the body shop where the car was fixed and expressed the exact sentiments to her! (She tried explaining to him that the damage from the accident could not have caused a cracked oil pan/gasket because of the damage location from the accident. He was offensively impolite to her as well). We have been trying to talk with a sensible salesman, but no luck! The car still has a leak and it looks like WE have to come out of pocket because SHERIDAN NISSAN won't honor the warranty that was given. ‍ So, if you're thinking about purchasing a new or used vehicle, DON'T GO TO SHERIDAN NISSAN, 114 S. I leased a new Pathfinder from Sheridan, and they totally shafted me out of $1,300. The deal included Sheridan paying my over-mileage on the lease I turned in to them, but they never actually paid Nissan Finance. I ended up paying NMAC, as to not hurt my credit. Sheridan told me they made a mistake in my deal, and will not pay the over-mileage. Snakes! Can't trust this dealership. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Well last week I visited Sheridan Nissan for an as usual wonderful service dept experience.. as always Jeff and his team "rocked it out of the park! While I was waiting for the car to be serviced I decided to look at the latest Altima SL and finally they offer a passenger power seat it's been a long time coming.. Bob Hossington approached me and as we found out we know so many old mutual friends in the local car business.. When i expressed interest in the 2016 he was happy to get one and give me the tour and a test drive and Nissan really stepped up ! Much quieter and so many new options.. I returned after the holiday to discuss my options of trading into a new lease 8 months early and I happened to bump into Joe himself.. he as always stepped up and made me feel like family... wound up with a fully loaded SL and spent a few dollars more than expected but due to Joe and his sales team I got an exceptional deal ! New Finance people is a huge improvement in the Sheridan Family! I spoke to Joes son Chip who now runs this store and he gently reminded me of a old experience I wrote about after I helped a friend purchase a used Sentra,, and I actually forgot about the review I posted praising the dealership all except the Finance rep who has moved on.. so Chip if your reading this Kudo's your aced it this time.. thanks everyone at the Sheridan for doing a wonderful job and I look forward to more years of driving what I believe is the best car in it's class!
