Bought a new Palisade in 2024, was told we have free oil changes for 2-3 years, no appt needed. However, every time we take it down for an oil change its a 3 hrs+ wait. Took my Palisade down last Thursday at 8:30 am and didn't get my car back until 11:30 am. We also purchased the extended warranty and with ever oil change they try to sell us another service. It's not worth taking it back to the dealer Porter Hyundai to waste my time for a free oil change. Get in early so they have time to get to it. If it's more than a quick service visit they are booked out a month or more at this time. I would NEVER recommend anyone to buy a Hyundai vehicle. My 2024 Palisade was less than 2 years old when I noticed the ceiling getting wet after every rain storm. Porter Hyundai claimed multiple times that they couldn't find a leak, even after I sent picture proof on multiple occasions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to fight to get them to look at my vehicle, fight to get a rental car when we took my vehicle to the dealership, and now I'm fighting to get it fixed and get the headliner replaced.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I bought this car brand new so I wouldn't have to deal with any problems but I've had nothing but problems and no one to help me. I dropped my car off at Hyundai on January 2 without an appointment. I will never recommend Hyundai to anyone. This is the second vehicle I have owned that was nothing but issues. Back about a little over 4 years ago I had a 2012 Sonata burst into flames and barely made it out. Hyundai sent it California only to tell me the fire wasn't their fault but refused to tell me why it caught on fire. Now onto my 2018 Elantra. First i had to wait a month and a half for an appointment. I was told my engine was shot and had coolant in the oil. Hyundai immediately pushed back on honoring the 100,000 mile/10 year power train warranty claiming my car fax didn't show regular oil changes. Like most people, my oil changes were done by a family member so they wouldn't be on the car fax. I last had my oil changed in July of 2024. So they took pictures and said there was sludge so they were not honoring my warranty due to my alleged lack of maintenance which is untrue. My engine has coolant in the oil which has nothing to do with maintenance. So now I am stuck with a piece of junk, that i cant tag and owe money on. This car has only a little over 80,000 miles and hasn't been driven since November of 2024. I will be posting this scathing review on every social media site, yelp and i will be contacting an attorney. This is disgusting that they will come up with every reason not to honor their warranties. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PORTER OR HYUNDAI TO ANYONE EVER! read more

My car needed a body repair, and they were able to get it done in three days. I would not be able to tell my car was previously damaged. The service was friendly and polite. They had coffee on the premises for customers. The waiting room was clean and comfortable- I could either sit by the t.v., or by the front door without noise. I like a quiet place to relax! If you need a rental car, Enterprise Rental is close by, and they can deliver you to a rental car. read more

They don't accept appointments for oil changes so you wait long hours. Employees try to talk you out of getting your oil changed saying " it's really busy today you may want to come another day" we hear that almost every time we go. Why don't they take appointments like other Hyundai dealers? I'm sure things would run more efficient. They have great service when they want to sell you a car but as soon as you do the service sucks. I've also been waiting on a call back about our paint pealing off our car. We've called and left messages and no one calls back. Service is horrible. read more

They attendant that answers the phone said the service manager is "away on vacation" and they cannot tell me when they will "get a chance" to look at my car. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This dealership is the WORST. I bought my 2020 Sonata here. Called today (August 1st) to schedule a warranty service appointment. They told me they cannot get me in until NOVEMBER. Great tactic! Try to get the warranty to run out before you need to provide service. I asked the scheduler what was causing the delay. Are you short staffed? She said, "We're just really busy right now." Making customers wait over 3 months for warranty service (i.e. to fix something that was NOT supposed to malfunction!!) is definitely not good customer service. I will not be going back to Porter. So giving a not so good rating because: It took about a week to purchase the car, we were ready, and kept having the purchase postponed. Second the car (although new) had not been detailed, and the inside lining of the car had been messed up (appeared like kids had smeared the finishing), had to be detailed, they tried to blow me off when I mentioned it!! We committed to buying the car on a "Saturday" it had about... 25 miles in the odometer, I 'asked' explicitly, after leaving a deposit, that it not be shown or driven by anyone else, however, on Monday... the car showed at 68 miles! so yeah, someone drove it over the weekend. We happened to open the hood, and noticed that the windshield fluid container was 'empty' (should they not have checked all fluids and deliver it to us in 'ok' all fluids checked condition??? Also the milleage on the contract read '58' miles, we did check the odometer when they gave us the keys it read '68' so that's 10 miles off, and I'm sorry guys.. a contract is a contract!! is SHOULD have reflected the accurate milleage. then there's , pricing.... so the vehicle was a 2024, and I don't believe we had much price consideration, giving that it was 'not selling'... and the 2025 are almost out!! -- lastly, they gave us two keys, one of which was wrong and didn't work. I'm sorry but so many hiccup and wasted time, I leave it up to you to decide if that is good customer service. read more

I just purchased a car from Porter Hyundai and unfortunately the payment process was far from smooth. I made a down payment on my credit card and left my card of file for the appropriate person to run the card the next morning. Morning came and I'm receiving a text from my bank alerting me the charge declined as the Security Code or Expiration Date was entered incorrectly and to simply re-enter the data and re-charge to card. I received no communication from Porter Hyundai of the charge not going through. I call them to get an update on the charge and the administrator is informing me my bank thinks the charge is fraud and I need to call my bank. Which is incorrect! This was a human error made my the person entering my card info. I hang up and call again to explain this is an error on there end. Finally after confirming each number the charge goes through. However the process was not smooth as I ended the call without an apology for the mistake and the assumption that my funds were not in order. Unfortunately it seems the narrative of insufficient funds was racially motivated. In the future, I'd recommend Porter Hyundai triple check credit card information before running the charge to ensure quality assistance to avoid a stressor after purchasing a car. read more

I saw the exact used car I wanted on line. I called the number and talked to Pete. We talked briefly and texted back and forth a bit. I filled out an on-line car loan app and immediately had a quick conversation with Tim, the financial manager. The whole process was easy, fast and haggle-free. I flew from out-of-State a few days later, signed my paperwork and drove off with a beautiful car for thousands of dollars leas than I saw anywhere else. I drove home 500 miles in my perfect car. A couple years back I bought my first adult vehicle from porter and had a good experience....fair and with no issues. Fast forward about 10 yrs to about two weeks ago. I had just purchased a used Equus from out of state and brought it in for an issue that is covered under warranty. Mind you there are two other dealerships closer to me and my job that I could have gone to. But my coworker recommend that I go here even though it's an hour out of my way. And oh boy, I'm not taking my car anywhere else. Not only was Jeff professional, but the entire service staff was helpful and treated me great and I will absolutely always be back here if needed. Our car salesman was Sarko Yepremian, he was great. We bought our last car from him at Porter, a Hyundai Sonata and I personally like staying with the same salesperson. He's been there since forever and is professional and personable without any high pressure or BS. You get the feeling when you're with him that he really cares and is truly focused on taking care of your needs and solving your problems. I went to Porter with an open mind about a new or used truck. Randy Day did an awesome job of collecting my likes and dislikes and explained the values of new vs. used. He showed me a variety of trucks, explained all the features very well and took some test drives until I found what I liked. Randy also took my vehicle history into consideration. I tend to upgrade my truck every 3 or 4 years and don't drive above the normal mileage. So, he explained how a lease made the best sense and set me up with a '18 Silverado. What a great riding truck! I will gladly drive the 1 1/2 hour to bring my car here rather than my local dealership. Staff is always friendly and actually LISTENS to me when I explain what the problem is. My car alarm kept going off randomly and would keep going until I re-primed the hood ajar senor. I took it the dealer closest to me, explained what was happening and what I thought was wrong with it. They had it over an a hour, charged me $130 to basically shrug and say " we dunno what's wrong with it". I took it to Porter, told them the issue and WITHIN 20 MINUTES I get a phone call saying "Yes m'am what you thought was wrong was in fact the issue; we fixed it." Haven't had an issue since! I also had my car detailed and they did such a fantastic job my car looked brand new inside and out. This is literally the only dealership I trust with my vehicle. read more

The worst! Anytime I call for pricing they give me a different quote every time & never honor the original price! For ONE brake light they told me it would be $80 which is ridiculous when the light I need costs $10. When you call there's usually someone answering the phone who's "new" and never has the answer to anything so they put you on hold consistently. They'll tell you XY & Z is wrong with your car but when you ask them to explain it they don't know but have no problem taking your money for this "unknown problem". I have leased two cars from Porter Hyundai in the past. I paid extra for insurance for chips, dings, scratches, etc. I just turned my second lease in July, 2017. When you turn a lease in you have to $400 and then any damage to the car. I was told I owe $245 for "wear and tear". I told Hyundai that I had the insurance and they said yes I did and they would take care of the $245. I now have collections calling me. I have left my name and number with 3 people at Porter for some help and NOT ONE person called me back. I emailed Mr. Porter and no email back. I am so frustrated and am ready to storm the dealership and make a scene to get some help. I've tried the NICE way and am not getting anywhere. Porter's service is horrible. Once the car is sold they want nothing to do with you. They refuse to fix the problems they create. I will never recommend Porter to anyone. Went to another mechanic for a transmission flush, they ended up breaking a plug on my transmission cover. Took my car to Hyundai and they took their time to find the problem and fix it correctly. The people I worked with were all extremely helpful and accommodating. Hyundai was able to get me a rental car for the time that my car was in the shop at no cost to me. They allowed me to take photos of the damaged part, gave me all their notes, and even gave me the damaged part after my car was fixed so I could take all of that back the other mechanic to try to get my money back. I am extremely pleased with the service that I received and the kindness of the people I worked with. In the end, my car was fixed and I am confident in the work they performed. read more

I would purchase another vehicle here in a heartbeat. I also have had my vehicle serviced here several times. The service department is very busy on the weekends but they do a great job. This is the second vehicle we bought from Mike Moran and the second time that Tim helped us get the financing set up. They are both extremely pleasant and good to work with. Mike, especially, has a great sense of humor, we feel confident that he knows his product and can help us get what we want, and we appreciated being able to set up an appointment time to come and see him for both the shopping and the buying portion of the experience.
