Car in for service. Supposed to get a call yesterday - no call. Tried calling three times today. Get nothing but voice mail and no call back. Service dept is awful. No excuse for not returning a call. In my opinion no excuse for not having a live person answer the phone. Ridiculous to have to drive there to get an answer on status of repair. read more

Very poor customer service experience. I leased a new Mazda from them on 10/1/2025. It has been 5 1/2 months and still waiting for them to send me the vehicle registration! The excuse I've been given on multiple calls to the dealership is that the local Wilmington DMV has been closed and they are waiting for it to reopen. It is ridiculous that they will not send someone over to another DMV office to obtain it. Seems to be incompetence and/or laziness by their title clerk; either way, it is definitely not good customer service. I've even contacted Mazda corporate "customer service" several times and they have not been able to get this straightened out as of yet. This will most definitely be the last time I buy or lease a Mazda (or any other vehicle from this dealership). read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I saw a car online I liked at Nucar. After messaging back and forth, I took time out of an already busy schedule to go see it. I live an hour away. I had hoped they'd be considerate of that. I had seen a similar car in NY. I figured maybe they could match the deal I was offered or do even better. Since I'd seen the car listed for a while and it was still available. You'd think they'd wanna sell. Well I went in with limited time. I showed the the offer after getting ridiculously inflated numbers and a lowball trade. They said they would match the offer. However, the paperwork they brought over did not reflect that. The manager insisted they were matching prices. It was borderline insulting. I have 2 eyes, I can see. Numbers are numbers and they were completely different numbers. I pointed at the screen and said these are the numbers right here. Then proceeds to say he didn't know what car I was even looking at. When it said on the order exactly what car I was looking at. Exact pricing, exact payment... Clearly THEY were the blind ones. The fees were ridiculous too! It was a complete waste of time. The prices are inflated, fees, dishonesty and lack of respect. There are other dealerships. So many cars... Try your hand at going somewhere else. Also DO NOT bother reading the response from dealer. It's obviously an attempt to save their reputation. It's even more disrespectful to invalidate and apologize about an experience AFTER they get a bad review. Don't do damage control, respect people. read more

On the whole, outstanding - best dealership experience I've ever had. Phone is better than email, to be sure, but more importantly, ...once I was on site, they got into high gear. Helpful, organized, responsive, and very nice and considerate. Staff seems to get along with each other and cooperate well together. It was nice and rare to hear no whispered trash-talking of customers or coworkers. Thoughtful and decent disclaimer-laden advice. (Matched stuff that I learned the hard way over the years.) Admittedly, the circumstances were in my favour (dealerships would love to have lightly-used inventory, my financial situation is mighty decent; leasing conditions are win-win for me...) ...they gave me a very attractive trade-in value. If you're in a similar situation (trading in for a new vehicle and not in need of a miracle in terms of payment numbers), I'd highly recommend that you go for it... After a recent accident left my car totaled, I found myself scrambling for a new car and ultimately purchased a Mazda3 at Nucar Mazda. I initially test drove at another dealership but had inquired about pricing at several local Mazda dealers. Nucar responded quickly via text and I was offered a very competitive price right off the bat. In fact, I took the offer back to where I test drove and they told me they couldn't match it and that I must be missing some sort of fine print for them to be offering me a deal that good. When I went to the dealership to investigate, I was quickly greeted by salesman Dan Stanitski, who is warm, friendly, and not the least bit pushy. He walked us through available options, offering honest answers to our questions and personal anecdotes supporting the quality of the cars. When I showed him the quote I was offered, it was honored without any attempt to up-sell. They didn't have the color/trim I wanted on the lot, but they worked quickly to orchestrate a dealer trade and kept me informed every step of the way. Not only were they able to find the car I wanted, but they were able to make it happen on a tight timeline so that I didn't have to extend my rental car beyond its planned return date. On day of purchase, we were walked through every step of the paperwork in detail (thanks to their finance guy, Sam, for having the patience of a saint with all of our questions!), and Dan went through all of the buttons and settings in the car one by one to make sure I knew how to use all of the features. I bought a CX-5 from Nucar Mazda after a friend recommended Dan who is a great salesman. He is very knowledgeable about the different features and models and is a straight shooter. I felt comfortable buying a car during covid times because everyone was following the proper protocols. I have been to the service department a few times and they are very friendly and professional. I've had some issues with my android auto play and they have been working with me to try to figure it out. The service tech was friendly and tried to research potential issues with the auto play. Whenever I leave my car at service, they arrange for a rental so I can leave the car and go to work which is a nice perk. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because other dealerships I have been to provide other perks like tv and waiting areas, free soda, even certain days for getting your nails done while you wait. I know some of that is not possible in these times but giving the customers a little extra would bump the review to a 5. The facility was recently redone with a very modern and clean vibe. There are a few cars inside that you can see and also cars on the lot to test drive. read more

Just venting a little bit..... So my wife and I purchased 2 CX5's from Nucar Mazda back in June 2021. Well she got the trim right under the signature and I got the grand touring. I guess when the salesman at the time told me that the only difference with the cars was that my wife's car had the larger tires with sporty rims and she had a turbo, I was like O.K no biggie. Now that it's winter time I noticed a bit more. Yes, I should have done my own homework but you put your trust in the salesmen to do a full comparison.... especially when two people in the same house has the same car and you will soon learn that your cars are different. Well here's my list of things I don't have that the salesman fully didn't bring to my attention. 1. You DO NOT have the ability to get Sirius XM. That radio in this trim is not capable. You can't do it unless you swap out the radio system. I've called Sirius and spoke to the dealership. 2. No defrost on your mirrors. (SAFETY HAZARD). 3. Rear tail lights only had a bulb in one section. My wife's car has 2 bulb's which her rear tail lights, light up in different sections. ( SAFETY). 4. No Heated staring wheel. 5. No fog lights. Finally.. I was told a carbon edition was coming in and I would be called when it arrived. I was called to be told someone beat me to it. I was never offered to put a reserve payment down. I'm sure the car was held for an employee's family member I also saw and over heard a conversation one day when a carbon edition was in the lot. I noticed it had temp registration close to my registration date. I wish I never settled for my car because I wanted the carbon edition. Long story short I'm stuck with a car I don't like. I feel like I was hustled into it, versus being happily sold into it. Do your homework don't settle. I drive the car to work and home. I leave it parked. I'm just not happy. read more

I highly recommend salesperson Mike Johnson, who provided a competitive up-front quote over email, great communication throughout the sales process and even came in on a morning off to accommodate our schedule. I live in Washington, DC and the 2 dealerships within a hour of me suck. I decided to get my 27k service at Nucar because I would be in town for a family event. Chuck took great care of my car. He was extremely courteous and not only did he answer every single annoying question I had, but he also saved me money by letting me know i did not need certain things done that I was requesting. If you've dealt with dealerships before, you know that last part is unheard of since they're always trying to get you to spend money you don't need to. Not an Nucar. Horrible! They broke the back window on my car while they had it and now because WARRANTY won't cover it they won't pay for it. Their service advisors are WAY too good for this place. They're the only ones that actually care. Their service manager John has a HORRID attitude. Talks to customers like he is THEIR boss. General manager is no better. Asked me if I "just called to complain". I'm now out the cost of a window or an insurance claim because they couldn't care less about their customers. I purchased a truck from Nucar in August 2013. My salesman David was extremely helpful and wasn't your typical aggressive and pushy salesmen. The finance guy Adam was even great in helping me even after I purchased the vehicle when I needed help with sorting things out between the dealership and credit union. But when I needed something I could never get in contact with the manager Don..emails and voice mails weren't responded, and I got NO feedback when I actually needed something. My temp tags were expiring and I got NO help with new ones. I had to have the secretary give me the highest available manager's number and I spoke to him. Come to find out they had my tags there but "something got mixed up". As if that would have been sufficient for the cops when I got stopped for not having current tags. My battery died withing the first 3 weeks, no big deal those things happen..I guess. Then my heat wasn't working (2 months after purchase!), the secretary in the service dept "didn't think my limited warranty covered that". I then reached out to the service dept manager..left a voice mail..no return. Customer service from the managers seems to need some work! read more
